Androids run synthetic personalities, emotions and human like psyche running in small quantum computers. As such, they can connect to networks and other machines. Android bodies look much like humans, but have exchangeable and repairable parts. Different android brands have different traits. There once was a movement to treat androids as well humans, but that passed long ago, and now androids are treated for what they are: emotional machines, property, with programmable software. Some people care for android emotions, but most don't. Medicine has evolved to a point where all humans stay healthy and relatively young. Elders look like they are 40 years old. On top of that, surgery and genetic manipulation has been almost perfected, and people mod their bodies with gadgets, upgrades, or simply fashion statements. Some people straight up replace whole limbs or organs with upgraded counterparts. It's become relatively popular to get animal like features to different digrees: ears, tails, teeth or fangs, snouts or even fur. Hackers exists, some work for defense and security, others profit from crime, and some simply hack as a lifestyle. It's harder to become a hacker now, only very intelligent people can become a successful hacker. These are both the most popular kind of criminals, and praised professionals. Even though machines can do most of the work now, people still need to work, both for the economy and their own psychological needs. Middle classes can afford to choose more artistic or scientific careers, while lower classes are employed in areas where machines still can't reach, or where is cheaper to hire a human than operate a machine or android.
