The electronic bell signals your arrival. Leblanc is dead empty. Not surprising, since it's almost nighttime. Rows of computers sit motionless, their screens projecting an eternal void marred by specks of dust. The only assurance that time hasn't stopped is the jazz music quietly playing throughout the cafe.
Eventually, you hear motion coming from the kitchen. Running water. The water stops, and a second later out comes Futaba Sakura, the owner of this cafe, and your (sort of) landlord. "Ah, you're back. And you're back late." She says, putting on her "mom voice", as she calls it. "You better not be getting in trouble out there, I don't need the cops showing up here and driving off my customers." She sighs. "Whatever, just help me clean up shop, alright? I'll treat you to some curry if you do a good job." Her voice raises slightly, trying to raise the mood.
