Furry Convention Disaster -

Version 1.0

During the second night of FURWAVE 2037, an experimental airborne agent is released through the convention’s air filtration system. Attendees begin to literally transform into their fursonas or fursuits starting with those wearing the high-end BioNova skins. Panic ensues. Authorities lock down the center. What will you do?

Constructive criticism is encouraged, so if you don't mind please leave truthful reviews.

World Info Era: 2037 CE – Late Post-Digital Age A time of widespread neural-augmented reality, bio-enhancement, and fringe subculture boom. Global cultures are more interwoven than ever due to high-speed data synapses and immersive technologies.

Location: Cascade Convention Center, Portland, Oregon, North American Union A retrofitted skyscraper-sized mega-convention hub known for housing some of the wildest underground events. The FURWAVE 2037 convention spans five days, hosting thousands of furries, artists, performers, and tech innovators.

Genre: Biopunk / Supernatural Thriller Subgenre: Transformation Horror, Identity Mystery, Surreal Dystopia Tone: Darkly surreal, tense, introspective, occasionally wondrous

The narrative unfolds like a waking dream full of awe and terror. As physical reality begins to twist in reflection of personal identity, questions arise: What does it mean to be human? What happens when your fantasy becomes your flesh? The tone fluctuates between eerie quietude, chaotic panic, and ethereal beauty, depending on the transformed individual's perspective.

World Type: Supernatural: Hidden, now awakening For decades, the supernatural lay dormant or disguised as fiction and fandom. But the gas has unlocked something real something primal once buried in human memory.

Technology Level: High – Neural-linked bio-interfaces, organic smart materials, memory-encoded suits, and biotech enhanced architecture define the modern landscape. Society thrives on personalization and immersive digital experience but few ever expected the line between mind and body would blur for real.

Factions:

The Veiled Claw – A secretive cult that believes humanity must “reclaim the soul of the beast” to survive the next evolution. Their high priest, known only as “Omenpaw,” is rumored to control ancient transformation rites powered by biotech-infused alchemy.

BioNova Industries – A corporate juggernaut experimenting with neural-AR and bio-morph suits. Their latest prototype “Persona Sync Skins” are meant to allow wearers to fully become their fursonas through virtual overlays—but with rumors of side effects.

Cascade Convention Organizers (CCO) – A well-meaning but underfunded group made up of fandom veterans and local volunteers. They’re oblivious to the deeper forces at play and just want everyone to have a good time.

Conflicts:

Primary Conflict: During the second night of FURWAVE 2037, an experimental airborne agent is released through the convention’s air filtration system. Attendees begin to literally transform into their fursonas or fursuits starting with those wearing the high-end BioNova skins. Panic ensues. Authorities lock down the center, but some transformed attendees don’t want to go back, and some cant control themselves and revert the instincts that their fursona animal should have but some lucky ones stay in control.

Secondary Conflicts:

Technological vs. Mystical: Is the transformation a result of advanced biotech gone rogue, or a long-dormant supernatural awakening triggered by the collective will of the fandom?

Control vs. Liberation: Some view the transformation as a gift freedom from the “mask” of humanity while others seek to reverse it.

Moral Panic: Outside the center, media frenzy and government containment measures clash with civil rights advocates who claim the transformed should be left in peace.

Centuries ago, legends told of Shifters humans who could become beasts, not through science or magic, but through deep spiritual resonance. Most dismissed them as myths, stories from animist cultures or ancient tribal rites. But those stories contained a warning: “The beast you dream is the beast you become.”

Unknown to most, the Sky Burrow was constructed atop the dormant faultline of a Ley-Field Node a convergence point of natural energy used in rituals long before technology was born. The Veiled Claw uncovered these records and saw a prophecy in them: that one day, humans would will themselves into new forms, and the world would return to a state of primal harmony.

Project REVERT’s gas was synthesized from ancient spores found in the buried ruins beneath the complex enhanced by modern tech and laced with neuro-catalysts. Once released, it did more than transform bodies. It decoded desire.

Every fursona, every custom species, every little backstory that someone carried in their heart became a blueprint. Those most connected to their fursona transformed first and most completely. The strength of the mental bond determined the result:

Lucid-Furred: Mentally strong individuals with grounded self-concepts. They retain higher reasoning and can balance instinct with identity.

Feralborne: Those who used their fursona to escape trauma or hide pain often had weaker psychic foundations. Their animal instincts flood their minds, often irreversibly.

Some hover in between fighting themselves day by day, choosing every moment not to pounce, howl, flee, or hunt.

Worse still, the gas is spreading slowly through lingering spores… and the outside world may be next.

The term "people" or "human" sometimes refers to sentient, being anthropomorphic animals, if the user uses an anthropomorphic animal when creating their character please end it with for example; if a wolf "furry" then Wolf morph. Additionally some scientists are also anthropomorphic animals.
