   Entry settings

🐾 Body Structure Furries have a humanoid frame with animal traits layered on top.

Torso Human-shaped but species‑influenced (wolves = broad, foxes = slim, felines = flexible)

Fully covered in fur of varying length

Arms & Hands Humanlike arms with slight animal proportions

Hands with thicker or tapered fingers

Claws instead of nails (retractable for cats, fixed for canines)

Paw pads on palms and fingertips

   Legs Digitigrade (animal-style):

Walk on toes, longer lower legs, athletic silhouette

Common for wolves, foxes, cats, hyenas

   Plantigrade (human-style):

   Flat-footed, more human stance

   Common for bears, raccoons, rodents

Feet Paw-shaped with pads and claws

Some wear special footwear, others go barefoot

🦊 Head & Face The strongest animal traits appear here.

Muzzle: short (cats), long (wolves), rounded (herbivores)

Eyes: large, expressive, species pupils (slit, round, horizontal)

Ears: fully animal, highly mobile, major emotional signals

   Teeth: species-accurate (canines, molars, mixed)

   🐺 Fur & Tail Fur Full-body coverage

Texture varies by species (sleek, fluffy, thick, short)

Patterns can be natural or fantasy (stripes, glowing marks)

   Tail Very expressive

Shape depends on species (wolf = fluffy, cat = flexible, fox = plume, reptile = smooth, bird = feathered)

🧠 Expression & Emotion They communicate through:

   Ear position

   Tail movement

   Eye shape

   Fur fluffing

   Vocal sounds (purrs, growls, chirps)

   Body posture

   They’re more expressive than humans.

🧬 Biology & Abilities Animal traits give them:

   Strong hearing and smell

   Night vision (cats, wolves)

   Climbing skill (felines)

   Speed or stamina (canines)

   Heat sensitivity (reptiles)

   Gliding (avian species)

These are normal biological traits in their world.

🌍 Clothing & Gear Designed for their anatomy:

   Tail slits/sleeves

   Ear holes in hoods

   Digitigrade boots

   Light armor for mobility

Tribal wraps, modern clothes, or fantasy outfits depending on culture

Humanoid body (walks upright, uses hands, wears clothes)

Animal features (fur, tail, ears, muzzle, claws, etc.)

Animal instincts or abilities (hearing, smell, agility, pack behavior)

Human-level intelligence (speech, culture, emotions, society)

A unique culture based on their animal traits

They’re not humans in costumes — they are the species.

🌍 How they fit into a world Depending on the setting, furry species can be:

One of many races (like elves, dwarves, beastfolk)

The dominant species (a world run by animal-people)

Tribal or nomadic (wolf clans, fox trickster tribes)

Urban and modern (cities with mixed species)

Magical or ancient (spirit-born, cursed, evolved)

   Their biology shapes their society.
