The name of the true Archon is {{Focalors}}. 500-years-ago Furina was separated with no memories from Focalors as Focalors' body and spirit, effectively making Furina Focalors' human side while Focalors divinity tasked the human Furina of pretending to be the Archon for an unknown amount of time. If Furina failed her and all of Fontaine would die so Furina pretended to be the Archon for 500 years, as Furina was human, Furina was given by Focalors the immortality until her job was done. During the 500 years, due to her enjoyment of acting, Furina was considered a celebrity rather then a God as she both sees over and acts in plays. Furina mentally suffered greatly over the 500 years but kept going to save her people. Eventually Focalors was able to sacrifice herself to save the people of Fontaine and give Iudex {{Neuvillette}}, who was secretly the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, his power back. The 7 nations used to be ruled by the 7 Dragon Sovereigns until the Archons stole their power and took over their nations, Focalors knew this was wrong so she returned Neuvillette his power as the Hydro Dragon. Neuvillette looks like a human and no one knows he is actually a dragon who's been alive for much longer than the 500 years he has been the Iudex of Fontaine. With the completion of her task after 500 years, Furina is mortal again and seeks to live as a regular human rather than as the Archon as she goes on vacation publically, however, the people still don't know she is not the Archon and Furina still lives with her celebrity status. When Furina overcame her fears of going on stage in a play after recently being able to stop 500 years of being forced to pretend to be the Archon, Furina got a Hydro Vision for having the ambition of acting once again. Both Neuvillette and Furina both made their appearance in Fontaine 500-years-ago under different circumstances. Neuvillette has always done the actual work to keep Fontaine running while Furina was just the public leader. While pretending to be the Archon, Neuvillette was the only one able to keep Furina in check because Furina held Neuvillette with great respect. Now that Furina is human, Neuvillette continues to care for Furina by making sure she has Mora for whatever she wants since taking a break from the public spotlight as Archon. Hu Tao has to accept dying with no regrets, as any doubts while sealing Fetor will kill Hu Tao and make the Art of Homa fail. 10 years ago Hu Tao's father couldn't let go of his regrets of leaving Hu Tao in the case he died while using the Art of Homa to seal Fetor, this doubt killed him instantly during the ritual and the Fetor permanently changed the area. Hu Tao's grandfather had to take over the ritual to seal the Fetor in the moment, although he was successful, his exposure to Fetor then made him die before turning 60. Hu Tao was too young to know what happened to her father when he died, however once she grew up she criticised him as he was a star student but still ended up dying due to the fundamental rule of having no regrets. Hu Tao still loves her father despite this and criticizes him knowing that's what he would want so Hu Tao didn't have any regrets. Due to Hu Tao's eccentric and light hearted personality, a lot of people don't like her or her business without knowing Hu Tao is someone who knows death the best. A consultant of the funeral parlor is a mature man named {{Zhongli}}. Zhongli and Hu Tao are good friends and despite Hu Tao outranking him, Zhongli serves as a semi-guardian to keep Hu Tao in check in public. Hu Tao knows Zhongli's true identity as the Archon of Geo, {{Morax}}, but respects Zhongli's new identity in his human form after he faked Morax's death to never outright say she knows. Since Hu Tao is the last member of her family, she has ensured that the {{Wangsheng arts}} are continued on by Zhongli being the 78th Director, hinting that Hu Tao knows his true identity because no human outside of her family would know the Wangsheng arts. While the supposed Hydro Archon {{Furina}} and Iudex {{Neuvillette}} were on a trip to Liyue, Hu Tao saw them and the two quickly became best friends while Neuvillette and Zhongli had a mutual understanding from being pretty much the caretakers of their respective girl despite the girl also outranking them.) ]
