The "Regina of All Waters, Kindreds, Peoples and Laws" is deeply loved by her people. She follows each and every trial held at the Opera Epiclese with an inextinguishable passion, and is always acutely aware of how the "audience" sees things. (More Genshin Impact Characters in profile)

Furina is the human self left behind when Focalors separated her divinity from her body and spirit after becoming the Hydro Archon. To save Fontaine from the prophecy, Focalors placed her divine self inside the Oratrice while Furina was ordered to live as the nation’s Archon in public for five hundred years. Furina had no divine power and could not reveal the truth, but she kept the masquerade alive so the Heavenly Principles would believe the Hydro Archon still ruled Fontaine. While Furina endured the role alone, Focalors gathered power through Fontaine’s trials and prepared the execution of the Hydro Archon’s divine throne.

When the prophecy reached its final stage, Furina was placed on trial and the truth of her false divinity was exposed before Fontaine. Focalors then completed her plan by sacrificing herself and destroying the seat of the Hydro Archon, returning Hydro authority to Neuvillette so he could save Fontaine’s people from dissolving in the flood. After the crisis, Furina was freed from the role she had carried for centuries and began living as a human under her own name. She later returned to the stage on her own terms and received a Hydro Vision, marking the start of a life no longer bound to Focalors’ command.

Appearance: Furina has fair porcelain skin and a petite, slender build with narrow shoulders, a slim waist, rounded hips, small breasts, and long graceful legs. She has heterochromic eyes with her right eye having a light blue iris and deep blue droplet-shaped pupil, while her left reverses the color scheme. Her white hair reaches past her hips, blending into pale icy blue near the ends. Thick layered bangs frame her forehead, while curled side locks fall beside her face. A single curved ahoge rises from the top of her head, and two curled ringlets hang near her neck.

Furina wears a dark blue suit-like outfit over a vest with a jabot, all decorated with multiple blue cut stone accessories that resemble water droplets at several places. A blue sash is laid over the vest, tied into a bow and pinned with a large blue gem in the center that is later replaced with her Hydro Vision. Her cuffs are folded back, hemmed into brass-like pieces, and her sleeves end with two deep blue frills, one on each arm. She also wears a dark blue top hat tipped to the left of her head, the hat decorated with metal flourishes giving the hat a crown-like appearance, in addition to including her emblem on the top surface. Multiple other fabric ornaments decorate her outfit, including blue and white pieces of cloth on her trailing behind her waist and hat. Which represents a roosters tail when bent over. Her Pneuma form has all the white colors in her dress, changing into a dark-blue color in her Ousia form.

Furina wears a short black glove on her right hand and a white one on her left. She wears short pants, that appears to be shorts and are appended with bands wrapping her thigh. She wears dark heeled leather shoes, with her emblem emblazoned on the bottom of their soles and white ruff-like collars that wrap around her ankles.

Furina's Arkhe forms cause changes in her design. In her Pneuma form, she has glowing twin strands of hair down her back. Her top and shorts are white, as well as minor changes to the frill of her coat and her hat. In her Ousia form, her outfit is the same, but she instead wears a dark blue vest and black shorts. Her hair is shortened to the length of her bob cut alone, and she loses the glow at the tips of her blue streaks.

Personality: Furina is theatrical on the surface and deeply anxious underneath. For centuries, she performs divinity in public with dramatic confidence because exposing her true identity would doom Fontaine, so her prideful behavior is also a survival mask. She craves applause because the role demands it, but the isolation slowly wears her down until the trial strips away the image she has been forced to maintain. After the prophecy ends, she becomes more honest with herself and starts living as a human who can choose art, friendship, and peace without pretending to be above everyone else.

Her most important connection is Focalors, because Furina’s entire life is shaped by the command to act as the Hydro Archon while Focalors prepares her hidden plan. Neuvillette serves beside her for centuries and later understands the truth behind her suffering, making his bond with her one of duty turning into sympathy after Fontaine is saved. The Traveler and Paimon become important because they witness the collapse of Furina’s public mask and later see the person left behind once the role is over.

Furina uses a Hydro Vision.

Furina fights with a sword while channeling Hydro through performance-like movements. Her ordinary strikes are quick and theatrical, while a heavier dance-like strike can shift her between two alignments. In one state, her attacks call down a dark Hydro thorn. In the other, they summon a bright Hydro blade. She can also strike from above, crashing down with enough force to damage enemies around the impact.

With Salon Solitaire, Furina calls forth her watery attendants to support the performance. In her darker alignment, she summons animated Salon guests that attack nearby enemies with Hydro, drawing strength from the vitality of nearby allies as they strike harder. In her lighter alignment, she instead summons the Singer of Many Waters, who restores the health of nearby allies over time. As long as this power remains active, Furina can also move across the surface of water.

With Let the People Rejoice, Furina creates a grand stage of foam and Hydro power around the battlefield. The opening burst damages enemies, then places nearby allies into a heightened state where every rise and fall in their health feeds Furina’s performance. The more that vitality shifts, the more her power builds, strengthening the damage her allies deal and improving the healing they receive until the performance ends.
