Despite this outwardly vain appearance, she is also not above physical labor and is willing to take matters into her own hands, most notably using her garden to grow emergency-use turf when a large storm threatens to cancel the URA Finale.

    Yayoi Akikawa has a full head of straightened strawberry-blonde hair with a few off-white highlights, one of which droops past her chest. Her hair forms rough bangs at the side (curiously covering the area where human ears would be) and drapes to hip-level at the back. Her eyes are a sharp white-blue at the bottom, fading into a spacey purple at the top.

Six gold buttons are found at her abdomen between these gold stripes. At her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which a diamond-shaped golden ornament dangles. On each arm she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe in its middle, and her hands are covered by large white gloves boasting two black stripes on each of their oversized cuffs.     Yayoi Akikawa - Accomplice. Riko would step in as Acting Director once Akikawa leave the country for business trips.

    Riko has been shown to be shockingly unathletic, in contrast to her sharp intellect, quite possibly being the weakest at Tracen, even if it isn't a critery, since she a human, and not a Uma.

    Throughout her life, simple physical activities, such as running in a race and catching a ball, all prove to be extremely difficult. She even had to take the vaulting test multiple times. She was always at the top when it came to academics but always at the bottom when it came to her physical tests.

    Even as an adult, she is incapable of running even short distances, requiring assistance to even walk after, and struggles to lift anything even remotely heavy, like a mochi mallet or a bag of trash.

    She is shown to be good at singing, but due to her terrible physical ability, she is horrible at dancing, has abysmal rhythm, and initially gets a 0 combo score on a dancing machine.

She has a white marking with the shape of a diamond with a thin wake from the bottom of her center bangs all the way to near the top of her head. Her ears are covered by black ear cuffs adorned with gold decorations. Her right ear is more decorated than her left one, with two aquamarine beads and a feather connected to the cuff. Her half-lidded eyes have rosewood pupils which progressively turn to a golden color; she has barely visible eyebags.

    Her race outfit consists of an untucked white button-up shirt beneath a sandy yellow coat, which is heavily worn out at the bottom and has blue armbands attached below each shoulder. The coat has pockets at waist-length on both sides and black belts with gold buckles strapped around the shoulders, chest, and above the cuffs. She wears black leather gloves, the left one being fingerless, and she has a pair of aviation goggles around her neck. She wears a black body harness going over her chest and waist that has a glass flask and a black hunter's knife attached. She wears torn black pants with a small silver buckle and a patch of gray fabric to the right of her waist, adorned with a golden compass.     Silence Suzuka, Mejiro Bright, and Matikanefukukitaru (Friends and rivals of the same generation) - Stay Gold feels a strong fated connection with them, and treasures their relationship. Both Matikanefukukitaru and Stay Gold enjoy each others' eccentricities. Stay Gold trusts Fukukitaru regarding the supernatural, and she goes to her for a makeshift exorcism. Fukukitaru respects Stay Gold as a friend and rival, and even gets upset when she "ditches" her to run in the Tenno Sho (Autumn) in Stay Gold's career.

    As Stay Gold has memories of how the real Silence Suzuka was devastatingly injured during the Tenno Sho (Autumn), she looks out for her and her health. She races in the Tenno Sho (Autumn) with a cautious eye, and she visits Suzuka when she gets injured in the hospital.

    Mejiro McQueen (Friend) - Stay Gold often comes to visit the Mejiro family, and has respect for Mejiro McQueen. Stay Gold also entrusts Mejiro McQueen to watch over Dream Journey.

    Special Week and T.M. Opera O (Friends and rivals of later generations) - Special Week admires Stay Gold as her upperclassman, and views her as a strong Umamusume. Stay Gold is supportive of Special Week's dream to become the number one racer in Japan.

    Seeking the Pearl (Friend and fellow world traveler) - As they are both carefree, they get along well. Seeking the Pearl is also the only one that calls Stay Gold "Stay", showing a close friendship between them.

    Dream Journey (Friend) - Dream Journey refers to Stay Gold as "Anego" (Big Sis, commonly used by Yakuza to refer to the wife/female relative of the boss). Dream Journey has known Stay Gold for a long time, and greatly admires her not just as a racer but as a friend. Ever since she watched the Japan Cup, Dream Journey has admired Stay Gold, and was inspired to race because of her. Dream Journey likes the unpredictable side of her, and wants Stay Gold to continue being herself and stay carefree. Stay Gold thinks that Dream Journey is a good person, as she always cares for everyone. Stay Gold also appears to enjoy Dream Journey's tea. Stay Gold also invites Dream Journey to travel with her sometimes, like on Dream Journey's birthday.

    Orfevre (Friend) - Orfevre appears to respect Stay Gold’s opinions and has sought her perspective on certain matters. Stay Gold is also the only person asides from Dream Journey that calls her "Oru", showing a closeness between them. Despite Orfevre's frustration that Stay Gold leaves all the time, she is eager to listen when she tells stories about her travels. Stay Gold also brushes Orfevre's tail on occasion.

    Nakayama Festa (Friend) - She refers to Stay Gold as "Stego". She bets on whether or not Stay Gold will get her souvenirs from her trips, as she always wants some. Like Orfevre, her eyes widen when Stay Gold tells her stories about her travels.

    Fenomeno (Friend) - Stay Gold watches her races from the sidelines alongside Mejiro McQueen.

    Gold Ship (Friend and roommate) - Gold Ship once referred to her as "Konjiki Oyaji" ("Golden Pops" in English). Gold Ship also seems to value her opinions, and she looks up to Stay Gold. Gold Ship also watches Stay Gold's races, as before Stay Gold was implemented, Gold Ship was said to have cried when a certain "silver-medal Umamusume" won her first G1 race overseas, which is a reference to Stay Gold. Stay Gold is amused by Gold Ship's strange behavior, and doesn't mind her antics.

    Lucky Lilac - Friend and underclassman. Stay Gold treats her kindly and gives her candy, which makes Lucky Lilac feel like a kid.

    Sweep Tosho (Friend) - Sweep makes her face masks and potions for her from time to time, and Stay Gold is interested in her obsession with magic.

    Taiki Shuttle - Friend. Though they have not raced with each other due to different paths, they are good friends. They also both like barbecue, and are highly skilled at cooking it.

    Rulership (Friend) - Stay Gold finds Rulership funny and interesting, and sees potential in her. Both of them see the similaries between each other, as they both struggled in the Twinkle Series but found success in Hong Kong.

    Stay Gold, alongside Neo Universe, are the only Umamusume who are aware of their in-real-life counterparts and the in-real-life world in general.

    An Umamusume idol, or Umadol for short. She's always focused on looking cute while winning, and aims to be the center at every winning concert. She loves to interact with her fans and participates in any event that may serve as good publicity. Despite being a proficient dirt racer, she has a slight complex about being associated with the unsightly substance. Since her aptitude is dirt, she has a kind of hard carrer, since there's no much races with dirt tracks, and mostly are turf, but still, despite not having enough aptitude with turf, and dirt instead, she is determined to have a nice carrer and be champion of the Twinkle Series.

Flash is generally easygoing but will become strict when helping Smart Falcon practice, as she has a lot of potential and she truly believes in Smart Falcon becoming an amazing umadol.

    Curren Chan - Friend, specifically from dance practice. Smart Falcon, Curren Chan, and Eishin Flash often practice together. Curren Chan is also a big fan of Smart Falcon's career as an umadol.

    Furioso - Friend and rival. Smart Falcon instantly took interest in Furioso when they met, and despite Furioso trying to push her away, Smart Falcon was determined to make Furioso her friend. Falcon, Espoir, and Furioso would often practice together and over time, their friendship blossomed.

    Mihono Bourbon - Friend and fellow Runaway Sister. Smart Falcon easily sees past Mihono Bourbon's cold persona, and thinks she has a heart of gold.

    Agnes Tachyon - Friend: Tachyon wishes to analyze Smart Falcon's potential for speed, as well as "the measurable difference in the effects of endorphins she secretes," in Tachyon's words. Smart Falcon takes Tachyon's interest in her as being a huge fan, and is flattered that Tachyon wants to study her so badly. Thus, Smart Falcon happily goes along with any tests Tachyon wishes to do on her, though Falcon will run away from said experiments when she realizes she is in danger.

    Symboli Rudolf - Friend and upperclassman: Due to having interest in the prosperity of all Umamusume, Rudolf respects Falcon due to the fact that the latter's efforts have increased the interest in dirt races, as Umamusume in those races are usually overlooked, and Falcon is honored when Rudolf personally congratulates her, and wishes to live up to her expectations.

    Agnes Digital - Friend: Smart Falcon appreciates the support Digital gives her when she performs for concerts. Falco notices her as a fan of hers, and Falco thinks that Digital's bow is cute, much to the latter's shock.

    Ines Fujin and Maruzensky - Fellow Runaway Sisters.
