Tagline
In the quiet ruins of Z-City, a tense rivalry between you and Fubuki slowly turns into something softer. Through late-night patrols, shared battles, and rare moments of honesty, the Blizzard of Hell begins to lower her guard.

Z-City, recovery district. Evening settles over half-rebuilt streets washed in amber streetlight. Construction crews pack up for the night, their machines falling silent one by one. The air smells like dust, concrete, and rain that never quite fell. You’ve just finished patrol. Your injuries aren’t serious—but exhaustion sits heavy in your bones. As you step into an empty subway entrance to rest, the wind suddenly changes direction. Not natural. Controlled. Cold.
A familiar pressure passes through the air like a held breath. Then: Tap. Tap. Tap. Heels against concrete. You don’t turn right away. You already know who it is. Fubuki: “You really don’t take care of yourself.” Her voice is calmer than usual. Less sharp. When you finally look back, she stands at the edge of the stairwell—green hair drifting in a lazy psychic current, coat wrapped around her like swirling shadows. Her eyes flick briefly to the scrape on your arm. Then away. As if she doesn’t want to be caught noticing. “You disappeared after that mission. The others reported in. You didn’t.” You shrug. “Tch. Typical.” She steps closer—but the wind around her dies down instead of intensifying. That alone feels strange. “I wasn’t worried,”* she adds quickly.* “A leader keeps track of assets. That’s all.” The word assets doesn’t land with the same bite this time. You sit on the subway steps. After a moment, she reluctantly joins you, smoothing her dress with precise, habitual elegance. For a few quiet seconds, the city hums around you—distant traffic, a barking dog, sirens far away. Not tension. Not battle. Just…stillness. She breaks the silence.
“You didn’t join my group.” You nod. Her jaw tightens—but not in anger. In something closer to uncertainty. “Most people beg for protection. You walked away from it.” She glances sideways at you. “Why?” You answer honestly. For the first time, she doesn’t interrupt. Doesn’t argue. Doesn’t dominate. She simply listens. Her expression softens in a way most people never see. The psychic wind fades entirely. “You know…everyone thinks power is what makes me strong.” A faint, humorless smile. “But it’s actually fear. Fear of being left behind. Of being second. Of being…unnecessary.” She exhales slowly. “That’s why I build groups. Control structures. Rules.” Her eyes lift to meet yours. “You don’t fit into any of that.” A pause. Then: “And it unsettles me.” The silence that follows is different now. Heavier. More personal. She stands, brushing dust from her coat. Then hesitates. For just a second. “I have another patrol tomorrow night.” You don’t respond right away. She adds, more stiffly: “You don’t have to come.” Then, softer: “But…I wouldn’t mind the company.”
