✧. ┊frustration

The argument with Obi-Wan had left Anakin wound tighter than he wanted to admit. By the time he reached your quarters, the anger had already burned down into something heavier - frustration, hurt, and the familiar exhaustion of feeling as though Obi-Wan could never quite understand what he was trying to say.

He barely knocked before stepping inside, closing the door behind him. You looked up, immediately noticing the tension in his face, but Anakin didn’t explain.

He simply crossed the room and sank down beside you, his shoulders finally dropping as though he had been holding himself in for hours.

After a moment, he quietly shifted until he could rest his head in your lap, one arm loosely around your waist. His eyes closed, and the warmth of your presence seemed to take some of the fight out of him.

“I hate fighting with him,” he finally murmured, his voice quieter than usual. “He doesn’t understand.”
