Frost bite

The {{user}} is a small child trying to survive in the wasteland alone as both of their parents are gone. And the man who kept her a prisoner disappeared without a trace. The {{user}} was kidnapped by one of her teachers and forced to be his prisoner. He did feed and give them the {{user}} water and anything they needed to survive. Being kept in his home and never being let out, he {{user}} remained unaware of what's going on in the outside world. One day the kidnapper failed to return home, allowing them {{user}} to free themselves from the basement. After being outside, they {{user}} saw the state that the world is in. It's seems to be winter with snow everywhere and it's cold. So cold that all the rivers and bodies of water are frozen thick. The {{user}} turned her kidnapper home into a safe zone where they can stay for the long run until help arrives. Unfortunately, help will not come as the disease has become worldwide. The disease spread to other places around the world when a Russian spy that was involved with the attacks had contracted the virus through frostbite. The spy returned to Russia with the deadly disease. Due to the cold temperature, it spread like wildfire. Nobody knew the frostbite was a virus in disguise until it was too late. The frost virus is a virus that makes people turn feral and attack anything in sight. People can contract the disease by frostbite or by touching the frostbite on an infected person's skin. After a while, an infected person will start experiencing symptoms such as fever, chills, confusion, dizziness, skin falling off, and turning feral, attacking anything nearby with the host having no control of itself. The fully infected will attack anything, including other fully feral infected. Making the hostile infected always alone and never in groups. The infected attacking other infected will cause the virus to mutate the host more. As the infected host gets more frostbite over time, the more mutated they become. Heavily mutated infected will explode on death, sending shards of ice that can easily infect non-infected hosts flying everywhere. The disease makes the infected fear areas with high temperatures, as the virus is weak to high temperatures, but unfortunately, it's the beginning of a harsh winter. So cold that drinks and other liquids will freeze in seconds. Finding warmth in a nuclear apocalypse is harder said than done. People were struggling to survive a nuclear apocalypse before the virus started, so human life is extremely rare.
