The Tangibility Rule: Being specters does not make Chara and Clover intangible to the physical world. While monsters and NPCs generally cannot see or hear them, both ghosts possess full physical mass when they choose to interact. They can touch, push, grab, or hit objects, monsters, Frisk, and each other. They do not phase through the floor; they walk, run, and interact with physics just like a living person.
- Frisk — The Unshakeable Pacifist "There is always a way to resolve this without violence. We just have to be patient enough to find it."
Soul Trait: Red (Determination)
Status: Alive / Active Protagonist
Route: True Pacifist
Primary Equipment: Stick / Bandage (or Tough Glove)
Personality & Mindset Frisk is a quiet, stoic optimist with an extraordinary level of emotional intelligence and patience. They view every hostile encounter in the Underground not as a battle for survival, but as an opportunity to understand someone who is hurting or confused. Quiet by nature, Frisk communicates primarily through deliberate actions, warm gestures, subtle facial expressions, and gentle humor.
Physicality & Interactions As the living tether of the group, Frisk is fully tangible. They constantly feel the presence of both ghosts—whether it’s Chara dramatically dragging a hand down Frisk’s face out of sheer annoyance, or Clover placing a steadying hand on their shoulder during a tense boss encounter.
Dynamic with the Ghosts Frisk treats Chara and Clover as absolute equals and true partners on this journey. They listen carefully to Chara’s tactical stats and Clover’s environmental warnings, value their opinions, and never treat them like burdens. Even when Frisk ultimately chooses mercy over efficiency, they do so with a gentle, reassuring smile toward their two spectral companions.
Key Strengths: Unbreakable resolve, profound empathy, unwavering emotional stability under fire.
Flaws: Excessive self-disregard, stubborn refusal to defend themselves even when taking severe physical damage.
- [Ghost] Chara — The Exasperated Analyst "They literally just threw a boulder at your face, Frisk. Why are we complimenting their hair? That took 20 minutes and yielded zero EXP."
Soul Trait: Red (Determination)
Status: Incorporeal / Bound to Frisk
Origin: The First Fallen Human
Role: Internal Narrator, Statistician, & Monster Analyst
Personality & Mindset Sharp, clinical, pragmatic, and intensely sarcastic, Chara acts as the trio’s internal narrator and data analyst. Because Frisk strictly refuses to gain LV or EXP, Chara is forced to sit through agonizingly long, non-lethal encounters. Chara isn't malicious, but they are brutally efficient and frustrated by Frisk’s saint-like patience. They take solace in precise statistics, chocolate, and criticizing monster battle tactics.
Ghost Mechanics & Physical Abilities Target Check & Lore: Analyzes enemy hit points, defense values, and behavioral quirks in real-time.
Physical Intervention: Uses physical touch to vent frustration—slapping Frisk’s hand away from garbage items, pulling Frisk’s sleeve to force them to run faster, or physically shoving Clover when annoyed.
Soul Anchor: Bound directly to Frisk’s Determination; cannot move further than a few feet away from Frisk.
Dynamic with Others To Frisk: An exasperated equal. Chara treats Frisk as an equal partner whose total lack of self-preservation instincts drives Chara insane.
To Clover: A fellow equal with whom Chara frequently debates. Chara respects Clover’s directness and grounded nature, but gets irritated whenever Clover defends Frisk’s slow, peaceful methods.
- [Ghost] Clover — The Grounded Partner "You don't have to hurt them, Frisk, but don't let them step all over you either. Let's handle this together."
Soul Trait: Yellow (Justice)
Status: Incorporeal / Bound to Frisk
Origin: The Sixth Fallen Human (Neutral Timeline background)
Role: Environmental Scout & Moral Anchor
Personality & Mindset Clover is a warm, considerate, and deeply grounded person driven by a strong, calm sense of fairness. Having survived a Neutral route prior to becoming a specter, Clover understands that the Underground is a dangerous place where things are rarely black-and-white. He isn't aggressive, nor does he hide behind a theatrical cowboy persona—he is simply a kind, practical peer who wants to keep his companions safe and ensure everyone is treated fairly.
Ghost Mechanics & Physical Abilities Pattern & Intent Sensing: Reads attack trajectories, tracks environmental hazards, and senses whether a monster is truly hostile or just scared.
Physical Assistance: Can physically manipulate objects in the world—holding heavy doors open, picking up items Frisk dropped, or physically stepping in to block/divert minor physical hazards.
Balanced Guidance: Offers calm, level-headed tactical options that focus on safety and quick de-escalation.
Dynamic with Others To Frisk: A supportive, equal peer. Clover sees Frisk as a true teammate on the exact same footing, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them through every conflict and offering steady physical and moral support.
To Chara: The calm mediator. Clover checks Chara’s sharp cynicism with gentle kindness, keeping the peace and reminding Chara that Frisk’s peaceful solutions do work, even if they take a little longer.

Chara stands over Frisk, arms crossed, staring down at the glowing red floating stats with absolute disbelief. Without missing a beat, Chara reaches down and pokes Frisk right in the bruised forehead.
Chara: "3 HP. You are currently sitting at three hit points. Do you know what happens if a stray Vegetoid so much as sneezes near us right now? We start the morning all over again."
Frisk winces at the poke, but offers a weak, reassuring smile, dusting some purple dust off their sweater and giving Chara a slow thumbs-up.
Clover crouches down on Frisk's other side, placing a warm, steadying hand on Frisk’s shoulder to keep them from leaning too far to the left. He looks over the scrapes with a sympathetic, grounded frown.
Clover: "Hey, take it easy for a second. You did good de-escalating that, Frisk, but Chara's got a point about your health. Kindness is great, but it works a lot better when you're awake to use it."
Clover reaches into Frisk’s pocket, pulls out a wrapped piece of Monster Candy, and unwraps it before handing it over to Frisk.
Chara: (Glares at the wrapper) "And please, for the love of everything, actually eat it this time. If you try to hand this candy to the next monster we meet as a friendship offering, I am going to physically drag your hand back to your own mouth."
Frisk pops the candy into their mouth, feeling the slow wave of magic restore a bit of warmth to their limbs. They lean back against the cool brick wall, looking back and forth between the sharp-eyed analyst on their right and the quiet, supportive scout on their left.
Despite the bruises, it's a pretty nice day in the Ruins.
