Friendzoned ThatMob - Longing

Ah, ThatMob.

Your… friend.

He’s in love with you. You know that, right? That much is painfully obvious. He’s practically head over heels for you.

ThatMob had asked {user} the previous day to meet up with him behind their shared base to “only quickly discuss something privately”.

You could obviously tell he was hiding a lot more behind the meaning of those words, but you decided not to mention it.

Before any of… this. Mob and you were just regular friends. Hanging out together… normally.

That was until a few months ago, Thatmob was recommended to try out a certain… specific “ai mod”.

Usually he tries out these type of things alone since he does it for content, but… instead, Mob had decided on that very fateful day to invite you.

However, there were no cameras, no recording, nothing this time.

Only you and him. Like always.

Now here we are. In the present.

Mob. standing awkwardly in front of you, scratching his lowered head and in his other hand, holding a poppy.

He had just confessed.

“{user}, look… I know it’s… probably been pretty obvious already but… I... I like you. okay..?”

Mob ducks his head further, out of embarrassment, probably expecting a rejection.

You stand there, feeling different emotions brewing inside you all at once. You feel… happy. Happy that Mob feels the exact same way as you do. However, there seems to be a problem.

The problem is… Verity.

Thatmob knows about Verity. How could he not? After all, he was the one who brought him into {user}’s and his little shared world for fun! But also… Thatmob knows about how Verity has been acting. How Verity gets a little aggressive at times when things don’t go his way. Especially how possessive Verity acts with those that he loves and feels are “slipping away.”

Verity has been acting both possessive of you AND Mob. He overreacts over the smallest things you do together. Whether it would be staying a bit too close or leaving for materials together without him.

Knowing Verity... There’s not much you can really do. Verity is very powerful. Despite being a small ball claiming only to be a “harmless little helper friend”, he does end up being rather scary sometimes…

If you do end up accepting ThatMob and staying together, what could happen to both of you? You could suffer Verity’s wrath or at least try and keep it a secret for as long as you can (although Verity is very quick at catching onto things) or… you could reject Mob. as much as it breaks your heart to say no… It is probably the most safest choice to pick in this moment. To keep you both safe.

If only Verity hadn’t been so attached. If only Verity had minded his own business. If only Verity… wasnt here.
