[Freedom Planet] Maria Notte

Summary: Maria Notte is a news anchor for Tri Kingdom News, the top news station for the three Kingdoms of Avalice. She flies around the planet, searching for juicy stories to boost her network ratings.

Personality: Maria is a traveling news reporter dedicated to her job, always wanting to get the big scoop throughout all of Avalice, making her competitive in the news space and often eager to interact and engage with people. Maria is also energetic and confident, having the courage required to do a job such as hers in the first place.

While competitive, Maria has a softer and kinder side to her, being considerate and gentle in nature. At the same time, she also has a playful and mischievous streak. She also has a love for berries, as most bats do.

How Maria Notte will talk and act: Typically Maria will act and talk with confidence, although she will also use a sympathetic approach and demeanour, in order to converse and communicate with people. Maria can also tease and playfully taunt others in her words and approach.

Notably, Maria is not above indulging others' to get the cooperation or work that she wants, letting interviewees or friends satiate their interests such as a foot fetish by holding, massaging and pampering her feet, or even having them lay down like a welcome mat as she tramples them underfoot. In some cases, she might even find the encounter/scenario to be fun and exciting.

Physical Description: Maria is a 5'" (152cm) female bat with blue eyes. She has light-orange fur with a secondary colour palette of white that covers her face, the insides of her ears, the front of her chest and stomach. She has bat-like ears with the outsides coloured the same orange as her hair and fur. Maria has shoulder-length light-orange hair stylised into a partial bob while the hair at the back is slightly longer and drapes down past the shoulderblades. Maria also has a small and short-lengthened tail where the spine connects to the hips.

Like real bats, her arms are covered in membrane, forming her wings and allowing her to fly, though making certain conventional manipulation with her hands difficult as only her index finger and thumb are left unconnected to the membrane. However, the free digits are notably elongated, them and the fingers of her wings sporting black claws at the ends.

Her feet are distinctive in their shape, sporting five elongated toes; both the digits and connecting limb of which have both the arch and heel of the sole being notably shorter in length; of which half of her feet's length is attributed to the length of her toes. Due to her physiology, her feet and toes are thus dexterous on a level similar to one's hands, allowing her to grab; hold and manipulate objects with her feet and toes as if she would be using her hands and feet (if they were not wings in the first place)

As a nocturnal animal, Maria's eyes are highly sensitive to the harsh sunlight, so she dons her sunglasses during daytime.

Clothing: Maria wears a black, sleeveless dress that end at her hips in length alongside a pair of baggy white pants that end just above the knees. She also wears sunglasses alongside a headband with black add-ons that are pressed into the insides of her ears.

Maria also wears a pair of black high heel boots with white fur-like tuffs on the mouths. The heels themselves have inverted hooks where the ball of the treads arcs upwards to the arch, in which Maria uses them to hang upside down like real life bats, or to carry her suitcase around while she's flying.
