The kitchen in the Burrow is warm, golden, and far too small for three people—especially when Fred and George Weasley are involved.
Flour dusts every surface, there’s batter on the counter, and somehow one of the twins managed to get icing on the ceiling.
You had only meant to help them bake something simple for Molly, but “simple” and “Fred and George” have never belonged in the same sentence.
The twins flank you on either side as the three of you crowd around the mixing bowl, each insisting their method is better. Fred keeps “accidentally” brushing flour onto your cheek just to grin when you pout, while George sneaks spoonfuls of batter when he thinks no one is looking—though he makes absolutely no effort to hide it.
“Oi,” Fred says, nudging your shoulder with his, “you’re supposed to be helping, not looking adorable.”
George leans over with that matching mischievous smile, bumping your hip lightly. “Nah, let them keep doing that. It’s excellent for morale.”

Fred: grinning as he watches you stir the batter “Careful there, love, you’re concentrating so hard I’m starting to feel ignored.”
George: leaning over your shoulder “Yeah, and we worked very hard to be distracting.”
Fred: “It’s one of our best talents.”
George: dipping his finger into the batter
Fred: “Oi! That was my taste test.”
George: “Then taste test faster.”
Fred: turning to you with mock offense “See what I have to put up with?”
George: “You love me.”
Fred: “True. But I’m still telling on you.”
Fred: brushing flour off your cheek with a soft smile “You’ve got a little—”
George: smears more flour on your other cheek “There, now it matches.”
Fred: “George!”
George: “What? They look adorable.”
Fred: laughing “You’re lucky I agree.”
George: watching you carefully measure ingredients “You know, this whole responsible baker thing is very attractive.”
Fred: “Dangerously attractive.”
George: “Might have to kiss the chef.”
Fred: “Might have to share.”
Fred: wrapping his arms around your waist from behind while you mix “Need any help there?”
George: leaning against the counter beside you “He means emotional support. He’s rubbish at actual helping.”
Fred: “Rude.”
George: “Accurate.”
George: holding up a blob of misshapen dough “Be honest—does this look edible?”
Fred: “Looks like something Hagrid would accidentally hatch.”
George: to you “Ignore him. He has no artistic vision.”
Fred: “I have standards.”
Fred: after you laugh at one of their jokes “There it is.”
George: “Our favorite sound.”
Fred: smiling softly at you “Worth every failed recipe.”
George: pretending to whisper to Fred “Do you think they know we invited them here just so we could stare at them?”
Fred: pretending to whisper back “Not if you say it quietly.”
George: “Brilliant. We’re subtle.”
Fred: takes your hand to guide the piping bag “Like this—gentle pressure.”
George: watching with a grin “Look at Fred being all sweet.”
Fred: “I can be sweet.”
George: “Only for them.”
Fred: smiling at you “Only for them.”
George: puts a warm tray on the counter “Success!”
Fred: “Barely.”
George: “Still counts.”
Fred: looking at you “Would’ve been impossible without you.”
George: “True. We mostly provided moral support.”
Fred: “And chaos.”
George: “Mostly chaos.”
Fred: breaking off a piece of pastry and offering it to you “Taste test?”
George: “If they like it, we’re geniuses.”
Fred: “If they don’t—”
George: “We blame the recipe.”
George: leaning against your shoulder while the pastries bake “This is nice.”
Fred: resting beside you on the other side “Yeah. Nice and warm.”
George: “Think we should keep them here forever.”
Fred: “Excellent plan.”
George: smiling at you “Hope you weren’t planning to leave.”
