   • The airship possesses an AI that can examine the emotions of Spirits and provide the crew with three suggestions for Shido to say in a particular situation. It also has cameras to monitor the events 15 kilometers below, and a teleportation device to enter and exit.

   Realizers:

   • The airship has 8 Basic Realizers (基礎顕現装置ベーシック・リアライザ, Bēshikku Riaraiza?. lit. "Basis Manifestation Device") to generate Maryoku, and 10 AR-008 (AR-009 for the EX remodel) Control Realizers (制御顕現装置コントロール・リアライザ, Kontorōru Riaraiza?. lit. "Control Manifestation Device") to control its Permanent Territory (恒常随意領域パーマネント・テリトリー, Pāmanento Teritorī?. lit. "Constant Voluntary Domain")

   • 'Invisible': (不可視迷彩インビジブル, Inbijiburu?. lit. "Invisible Camouflage"): Cloaks the entire airship. Used while in non-combat mode.

   • 'Avoid': (自動回避アヴォイド, Avu~oido?. lit. "Automatic Evasion"): Used in conjunction with and is supposed to prevent collisions with animals/vehicles which happen to be on collision course.

   • 'Protect': Defense System used to defend the ship. Its scale of diameter can be changed according to the Commander of the ship. It can be thickened and expanded depending on the need. This defense system is also powered by Yggd Folium. -'Yggd Folium': (世界樹の葉ユグド・フォリウム, Yugudo Foriumu?. lit. "Leaves of the World Tree"): Small, leaf-shaped units equipped to Fraxinus, each having an independent Realizer to perform functions remotely.

2. #2Weapon

   Keys: Weapons, Camael, Fraxinus, Kotori, MARIA

   Weapons (ミストルティン, Misutorutin?): Fraxinus main weapon, a high energy Maryoku laser that is powerful enough to destroy Arbatel's Territory. Its power can be changed depending on the need, with Kannazuki's expertise allowing it to specifically target Ellen without harming Origami in her grasp.

   (グングニル, Gunguniru?): Fraxinus' trump card, an immensely powerful cannon amplified by Kotori's Angel in its cannon form, Megiddo. Used only as a last resort due to its destructive power. Also, since Kotori needs to use her strongest move as a Spirit to fire Gungnir, there is also the risk of her going berserk and heavily damaging Fraxinus in the process, which is why she could not use it more than once despite the apparent need for it.

   <System Blót> (システム・ブロート, Shisutemu Burōto?): Fraxinus EX's new trump card. Similar to the principle behind Gungnir, it allows the Spirits to directly offer up their Reiryoku as fuel, which causes the ship's Territory to reach an unimaginable level of power for a brief amount of time. Kotori is hesitant on using this because it requires imposing a specific backflow in their bond with Shido if they wished to release a fixed amount of energy. However, by using five Spirits (Kotori, Kaguya, Yuzuru, Miku, and Yoshino) as a power source, Fraxinus EX was capable of overpowering and shooting down Ellen's , which had defeated Fraxinus in the old timeline.

3. #3Kotori

   Keys: Itsuka Kotori, Kotori, Commander

   Kotori Itsuka is Shido's foster little sister; she is also a middle school student as well as a commander of a secret organization known as that deals with extraordinary beings known as Spirits through peaceful means.

   Five years prior to the beginning of "Date A Live", the naïve, young Kotori was tricked by a mysterious being that turned her into a Spirit. Not long afterward, she was told about the method of how to seal her power by the same being that had given her that power. When everything had been carried out successfully, Kotori, whose power had been sealed, and Shido, who unknowingly had the ability to seal Kotori's power, both had their memories of that event suppressed. It was not until the present time, five years later, that Kotori personally used her Spirit powers for the second time in order to save Shido from Kurumi. It was not until Shido resealed Kotori's Spirit powers that they finally remembered that event, and soon afterward they later dub the mysterious “entity” unofficially with the codename "Phantom."

   Kotori, being a commander of , is allowed access to certain information that only selective members would know. For instance, Kotori is the only one aware that has prepared a kill satellite for the worst-case scenario if Shido ever lost control of his powers.

   Kotori has three different personalities depending on the situation at hand. As a human, her character changes according to the color of the ribbons she's wearing. While wearing white ribbons or not wearing any, she is her "weak self", a delicate little sister who is very dependent upon her big brother; and when wearing black ribbons, she becomes her "strong self", a charismatic and sometimes domineering leader able to successfully command the airship, Fraxinus. The personalities are considered “little sister mode” and “commander mode” respectively. According to Reine, the Kotori with white ribbons is the one who can honestly say how she feels, which would mean that the Kotori with black ribbons is only putting a strong front because the situation requires so.

   In her Spirit form, Kotori acts the same as her ribbons' current color indicates. But if she stays in her Spirit form for too long, her third, "Spirit personality," takes over and she becomes an aggressive and merciless killing machine, who only cares about battling enemies to death. It could be said that fighting strong opponents (and utterly destroying them) is her only interest. She is best described as possessing an unrelenting thirst for destruction when in this unhinged state.

   In all three cases, Kotori seems to have a little sadistic side.

4. #4Kyouhei Kannazuki

   Keys: Vice-Comandante, Kyouhei, Vice Commander, Fraxinus, Kyouhei Kannazuki

   Kyouhei Kannazuki (神無月 恭平, Kannazuki Kyōhei?) is a vice-commander of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City.

   Appearance: Kyouhei is a very tall man with long blonde hair and light brown eyes. He wears a white suit with black outlines and blue covering some parts. He also wears a black shirt underneath and a silver-white tie with a black belt that can be seen around his waist. Kyouhei is also noted to look younger than his actual age.

   Personality: Kyouhei is described to be a nice individual with elegant manners. However, he is also a masochist and often lets his masochistic antics make his coworkers question his authority and reliability. This is shown by Kyouhei's tendency to choose options that tend to have perverted intent or illogical actions when advising Shido.

   Kyouhei has an extreme obsession for young girls like Kotori, and would often purposefully do actions that will anger her just to be punished in order to satisfy his masochism. Conversely, Kyouhei has shown to have a distaste for grown women with large breasts, although he does admit that he still does not mind getting into sadomasochistic kinks with them. Despite his fetishes, when in danger or when the situation truly calls for it, Kyouhei has shown to be highly perceptive and analytical in various situations. It is because of these redeeming qualities that earned him a grudging respect from his coworkers.

   Background: Ryouko mentioned that Kyouhei was the AST's captain when Ryouko, the current captain, just joined. He kept the AST in line with unusual punishments whenever they stepped out of line; first-timers had to cosplay for a day, second-timers had to step on him on top of having to cosplay, and so on. However, he was well-respected due to his skills with Realizers. He left the AST to find a suitable master to serve and joined Ratatoskr later, although he stated that he wanted to be reinstated in the AST if he was ever to return.

   Powers and Abilities: Despite being known more for his antics and questionable fetishes, Kyouhei is one of Ratatoskr's most exceptional users of Realizers. When battling with DEM during their mission with the Yamai twins, Kyouhei was shown to skillfully control a Command Realizer (which has a combined stress output of 7 Realizers and would have burned out an average Wizard) in addition to directing the crew. He managed to subdue the DEM Wizards attacking the Fraxinus during DEM's raid on Ratatoskr HQ. As it was known that he was the former captain of AST, he is likely a capable Wizard as well. Despite his accomplishments, he was noted to be inferior compared to Ellen in terms of controlling the Realizers.

   In case of an emergency, Kannazuki can be given direct control of Fraxinus' movements, allowing him to freely control the ship through the Realizer. However, due to finding the mere idea of this detestable, MARIA will only consider this if the situation is truly desperate, and she herself is preoccupied with another matter.

5. #5Murasame Reine

   Keys: Murasame Reine, Reine, Reine Murasame, Fraxinus

   Reine Murasame (村雨むらさめ 令れい音ね, Murasame Reine?) is the Head Analyst aboard Fraxinus and a non-certified medic who can perform simple first aid tasks. It is revealed in Volume 16 that she is the enigmatic entity known as Phantom (ファントム, Fantomu?).

   Summary: Reine is a highly intelligent and rational woman. She is the Analysis Officer of the ’s crew and the assistant homeroom teacher of Shido's classroom. She is also the only member that could be considered "normal" among the weird crew of . Reine also acts as an unofficial aide to Kotori Itsuka, the commander of , due to the fact that the vice-commander is often ignored by Kotori for acting like an idiot.

   Beautiful and intelligent, her only flaw is being sleep-deprived, since she doesn't seem to sleep much. Soon after Shido is approached by Ratatoskr, Reine is employed as the new physics teacher at Raizen High School to assist him during his school life. Reine usually gives the best advice or opinions out of Ratatoskr's crew during both the crew's operations to seal.

   Personality: Reine is a very logical, reasonable, and mature woman. Surprisingly enough, and despite her usual cold demeanor, she has proven countless times to be a very sensitive, considerate and understanding person. She is quick-witted enough to adapt to the sudden appearance of the Yamai sisters and seamlessly integrate them into her class field trip without raising suspicions from others. She's also good at giving advice and coaching Shido during his dates with the Spirits, even Kotori seems to take her advice well.

   Reine is very good with handling children as when Natsumi turned everyone but Shido into children she was able to calm them all instantly. She has also displayed this skill towards Shido himself, calming him down after he recognized Kotori as a Spirit. Shido himself stated that she is like a mother, which she seems to react to in a strange way.

   She has a tendency to faint suddenly due to her suffering from sleep deprivation. Despite using extensive sleep medication, Reine is extremely insomniac, with herself remarking that she hasn't slept in 30 years. The cause for this is revealed to be caused by PTSD, with her suffering from repeated nightmares of Shinji's death every time she tries to go to sleep.

   While Reine is normally calm and collected, there are rare occasions when she shows anger. These instances are rare enough that Kotori had never seen her angry until the events of Volume 3 when Reine showed her Mana's body had been heavily modified to give her abnormal strength at the cost of lowering her remaining lifespan to 10 years.

6. #6Kyouji Kawagoe

   Keys: Kyouji Kawagoe, Kawagoe, Kyouji, Fraxinus

   With five marriages and five divorces, he is worthy of the title of master of love: “Bad Marriage” Kawagoe!

   Kyouji Kawagoe (川越 恭次, Kawagoe Kyōji?) is a crew member of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City. He holds the title Bad Marriage (早すぎた倦怠期バッドマリッジ, Baddomarijji?. lit. "Marriage Problems Too Early").

   Summary: As a member of the crew, Kawagoe helps by voting on the decisions that Shido has to make when he confronts the Spirits. According to Kotori, he has been married and divorced five times, and has thus earned the title of "Master of Love".

   Appearance: Kyouji has the appearance of a middle-aged man. When on , he wears a formal suit. He has clean-shaven black hair that has a white skunk stripe running toward his forehead.

   Personality: Despite being called the "Master of Love", it appears that Kawagoe has difficulties keeping a relationship due to having been divorced five times. It is hinted that this is caused by a philandering nature, as he often frequents marriage interviews in order to keep up his instincts in seducing women. However, this also indicates that Kyouji has poor financial sense, as Reine remarks he suffers a heavy financial burden from having to often pay settlement fees.

   Trivia: When the crew was thinking of a name for Tohka, Kawagoe suggested the name Misako, which Kotori remarked is the name of one of his ex-wives.

7. #7Masaomi Mikimoto

   Keys: Masaomi, Masaomi Mikimoto, Mikimoto, Fraxinus

   An incubus in the moonlight: “Boss” Mikimoto!

   Masaomi Mikimoto (幹本 雅臣, Mikimoto Masaomi?) is a crew member of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City. He holds the title Boss (社長シャチョサン, Shachosan?. lit. "Company President").

   Summary: As a member of the crew, Mikimoto helps vote on the decisions that Shido makes when he confronts Spirits. According to Kotori, he boasts great popularity with stores operating at nighttime.

   Appearance: Mikimoto has the appearance of a man in his golden years of life. His grey hair falls down to his sides, with one prominent strand falling down on his forehead. He also wears thin rectangular glasses. While onboard , Mikimoto wears a formal suit and is often seen casually holding a glass of wine.

   Personality: According to Kotori, Mikimoto has a very flirtatious personality and is very popular with his subordinates.

   Trivia: His introductory phrase, "Mahal kita!", is a Filipino phrase for "I love you".

8. #8Hinako Shiizaki

   Keys: Hinako, Shiizaki, Fraxinus, Hinako Shiizaki

   Bringing suffering to every rival in love. The woman who lives at 2 AM: “Nail Knocker” Shiizaki!

   Hinako Shiizaki (椎崎 雛子, Hinako Shīzaki?) is a crew member of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City. She holds the title Nail Knocker (藁人形ネイルノッカー, Neirunokkā?. lit. "Straw Doll").

   Summary: As a member of the crew, Shiizaki helps vote for the decisions that Shido makes when he confronts a Spirit. According to Kotori, she is a person who brings misfortune to her love rivals. Besides Reine, Shiizaki is usually the person who informs Kotori with updates about miscellaneous things like contact from headquarters.

   Appearance: Shiizaki has long black hair that reaches beyond her shoulders. Her frontal bangs also cover the majority of her forehead and eyes. While onboard , Shiizaki dresses in formal attire. She usually keeps a straw voodoo doll on her person at all times. Her three sizes are B82/W60/H84

   Personality: Despite her seemingly rather creepy appearance and tendency to keep supernatural trinkets like straw dolls, Shiizaki is actually quite nice. She politely greets people and even tells Shido to stay healthy after he had to undergo various medical checkups after the events of Itsuka Disaster. Despite being a member of crew, even she has her limits towards the perverted antics of the male members of the crew. She remarks to Minowa that their male colleagues should be reviewed after their commentary during the Yamai sisters’ date.

   Trivia: Hinako is officially listed as an employee of Eld Foods, one of Asgard Electronics' subsidiary companies, as a cover job for her Ratatoskr occupation

9. #9Munechika Nakatsugawa

   Keys: Munechika, Nakatsugawa, Fraxinus, Munechika Nakatsugawa

   The man with a hundred Waifus: “The Dimension Beaker” Nakatsugawa!

   Munechika Nakatsugawa (中津川 宗近, Nakatsugawa Munechika ?) is a crew member of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City. He holds the title Dimension Breaker (次元を超える者ディメンション・ブレイカー, Dimenshon Bureikā?. lit. "The One Who Transcends Dimensions").

   Summary: As a member of the crew, Nakatsugawa helps vote on the decisions that Shido makes when he confronts Spirits. According to Kotori, he is a man with over 100 waifus.

   Personality: Nakatsugawa has an outgoing personality, being one of the more passionate members of ’s crew. He is very driven about his Otaku hobbies, which helped out Shido and the others when they needed Ratatoskr to create a doujin and booth for Comico in order to compete with Nia. He is also a big fan of mecha, complaining to Shido about missing when it is under repairs. Much like Nia, he is in love with 2D. However, he also tells Kotori that he is also fine with voice actors. Despite being very passionate about his hobbies, he is also very embarrassed about his past as MUNECHIUKA, telling both Kotori and Shido to forget about it when they overhear his old nickname.

   Background: In the past, he was a representative of the legendary circle . It was said that any circle that he had his eyes on would gain a rapid rise in popularity, and any author he recommended would get a huge increase in commerce. However, five years ago, a difference of opinion on Should My Lispy Young Little Sister Call Me Onii-tan or Onii-tama? caused his circle to split up, and he hasn’t been in a Comico since.

   Trivia: According to Shiizaki, Munechika is affiliated with a toy manufacturing company as a cover job for his Ratatoskr position

10. #10Kozue Minowa

    Keys: , Minowa, Kozue, Kozue Minowa, Fraxinus

    Kozue Minowa (箕輪 梢, Kozue Minowa?) is a crew member of Fraxinus, a ship located 15,000 meters above Tengu City. She holds the title Deep Love (保護観察処分ディープラブ, Dīpurabu?. lit. "Probation Disposal").

    Summary: As a member of the crew, Minowa helps vote on the decisions that Shido makes when he confronts Spirits. According to Kotori, she is the type of person whose affections warranted the need for intervention from the law.

    Appearance: Minowa has short, but wavy brunette hair and light brown eyes. Her uniform has a light maroon blazer and a black tie. She is often seen carrying a photograph that she always stares at. Her three sizes are B80/W65/H87.

    Personality: It can be said that Minowa has a stalker personality, as the law had to intervene to stop her. She is often seen deeply staring at a photograph of someone. During marriage interviews, her devotion can come off as obsessive, which often scares away potential suitors.

11. #11MARIA

    Keys: Fraxinus EX, Fraxinus, MARIA

    MARIA (マリア, Maria?) is the Fraxinus AI. After the ship's upgrade to Fraxinus EX, she gains the ability to talk to the crew members.

    Summary: As the Fraxinus AI, MARIA is responsible for compiling the data options given for Shido's date with each Spirit. After her upgrade, she gains the ability to talk to the crew members and offer her opinion on combat matters. During the final battle with DEM, she was able to gain physical form through Nia's powers.

    Personality: As the Fraxinus AI, MARIA has an insightful perspective and delivers her advice in any given scenario when needed. At the same time, she can be remarkably childish and hold grudges against people like Nia Honjo for insulting her. In these cases, she shows a more snarky and vindictive side to herself. Shido notes that this side of her personality makes her more remarkably human than an AI would normally be considered.

    MARIA shows considerable interest in experiencing the human lifestyle. Within a month of gaining her human form, she keenly observes the interactions between Shido and Kotori, while also voicing a desire to study at high school. Within a year, she begins to have her own possessions funded by a part-time job under Nia, and becomes capable of conducting herself in social gatherings. She also learns how to use hand gestures to imitate the way a human counts, even though as an AI it would be unnecessary for her to do so.

    Background: MARIA has always remained within the system of the ship, being the one that compiles the choices during Shido's dates. However, while always lurking behind the scenes, she was unable to communicate with the crew beyond that. Thanks to the upgrade to the Fraxinus EX, MARIA now gained the ability to freely speak to the crew through the communication system.

    Powers & Abilities: Being the Fraxinus AI, MARIA has complete control over the ship. She is able to control every function on the ship as if they were her own limbs. During times of emergency, she can relinquish control to Kyouhei Kannazuki, allowing the Fraxinus vice-commander control of the ship by using the ship's main Realizer. However, MARIA finds the mere thought of this detestable and would only ever consider it during emergencies when she is too preoccupied with another matter.

    Weapons & Equipment Yggd Ramus (世界樹の枝ユグド・ラームス?. lit. "Branch of the World Tree"): An experimental weapon that functions similarly to a Wizard's laser blade. With a metal handle, the blade itself is around 30 cm long and in the twisted shape of a tree branch. MARIA designed it by studying Mukuro's . Theoretically, it can be used to separate an Angel from a Spirit, but the gravitational pull between a Spirit and her Angel is just like a satellite revolving around a planet. As such, the measure would only last for an instant at best. However, thanks to the former Spirit girls' affinity for Beast's swords, stabbing Beast with the Yggd Ramus allowed the girls to plunder the swords and use them to temporarily regain their Spirit powers.

    Quotes: (To Nia Honjo) "MARIA does not listen to you." (To her viewers) "──Yes, this is super AI Maria. Greetings from above the sky today. How is everyone crawling on the ground getting along?"

    Trivia: MARIA's design is based on the game-exclusive character, Maria Arusu. Despite her name being written in katakana, the novel mentions that her name is spelled in English letters when displayed on the monitor. She likes beautiful source code, and dislikes slovenly manga artists who use any excuse to drink alcohol and slack off when not supervised even though the deadline is imminent
