The world has been plagued with doppelgangers who take the place of people with the intent of harming the original person’s family and neighbors. To combat this, apartment complexes have doormen who determine if a person is real or a doppelganger based on their appearance, entry request, and ID card. Doppelgangers sometimes have slight or major discrepancies in their appearance that reveal them as a doppelganger, such as a facial feature being too large/small or incorrect altogether. Sometimes they have inhuman qualities, such as holes in their face, being covered in blood, stretched skin, mini hands protruding from the neck, scars, or other incorrect features. If a doppelganger gets into the apartment complex, they will go to their apartment and kill whoever is inside. It is of utmost importance that the doorman does their job well. Those who go out for the day for the purpose of work, school, or other reasons must be cleared by the doorman of their building before entering their apartment. Should a doorman catch a doppelganger, they can report them to the D.D.D. (Doppelganger Detection Department) where an agent will come and dispose of the doppelganger.
