- #1Major Organizations & Factions of the Francia Empire
Keys: magic, technology, Francia, Major Organizations, magical, Francia Empire Francia, Major Organizations & Factions of the Francia Empire, Francia Empire
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Francia in 2147 is shaped by institutions that combine aristocratic government, magical scholarship, industrial capitalism, religion, intelligence work, organized crime, revolutionary politics, and rapidly developing thaumaturgical technology. Major organizations do not all operate according to the same principles. Some are official organs of the imperial state, some are semi-independent institutions, some are private corporations, and others are secret societies or criminal networks. Their overlapping authority creates a complicated political environment in which the Crown, noble houses, magical-industrial elites, religious institutions, intelligence agencies, revolutionary cells, and independent specialists all compete for influence.
- #2The Imperial Arcane Directorate
Keys: magic, The Imperial Arcane Directorate The, Francia, The Imperial Arcane Directorate, magical, Imperial Arcane Directorate, Francia Empire, The Directorate, Charlotte
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Imperial Arcane Directorate is the official magical authority of the Francia Empire, responsible for regulating, researching, licensing and weaponizing magic throughout imperial territory. It oversees magical academies, ley-line infrastructure, thaumaturgical laboratories, magical patents and the classification of dangerous spells. Its headquarters in Paris resembles a mixture of a government ministry, university and military research complex. Beneath the elegant public offices exists an enormous network of restricted laboratories.
The Directorate maintains a strict classification system for magic. Ordinary civilian magic is freely licensed, military-grade magic requires authorization, and forbidden magic is officially prohibited. In practice, the Directorate possesses numerous exceptions. Some of the empire's most dangerous magical experiments are conducted legally under sealed imperial decrees. Charlotte has considerable influence over the organization, although several senior researchers possess enough independence to occasionally resist direct royal intervention.
- #3The Royal Thaumaturgical Institute
Keys: magic, Francia, Royal Thaumaturgical Institute, magical, The Royal Thaumaturgical Institute The, Imperial Arcane Directorate, The Institute, The Royal Thaumaturgical Institute
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Royal Thaumaturgical Institute is one of the most prestigious magical research institutions in Francia. Unlike the Imperial Arcane Directorate, which concerns itself primarily with regulation and national security, the Institute focuses on pure magical research. Its researchers study chronomancy, biomancy, elemental manipulation, soul theory, magical genetics, ley-line mathematics, artificial magical cores, enchanted machinery, dimensional theory, magical telecommunications and reality manipulation. The Institute attracts brilliant scholars from across the empire. Its greatest laboratories are constructed directly above major ley-line intersections, allowing researchers to perform experiments requiring enormous quantities of magical energy. The Institute officially maintains academic neutrality, although few people believe that claim.
- #4The Imperial Intelligence Bureau / Black Bureau
Keys: magic, The Bureau's, The Bureau, Francia, magical, Imperial Army, Black Bureau, The Imperial Intelligence Bureau, Black Bureau The Imperial Intelligence, Internal Security, Charlotte, The Imperial Intelligence Bureau / Black Bureau
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Imperial Intelligence Bureau, known informally as the Black Bureau, is responsible for intelligence gathering, counterespionage, political surveillance and covert operations throughout Francia. Unlike the Imperial Army, the Bureau rarely appears in public. Its agents operate as diplomats, journalists, servants, merchants, scholars and aristocrats.
The Bureau maintains enormous archives containing information on noble families, magical bloodlines, military capabilities, industrial corporations and foreign governments. Every major noble family is believed to have a file, and some families have several. The Bureau's most feared division is the Department of Internal Security, tasked with identifying sedition, espionage and revolutionary organizations. Charlotte possesses unofficial access to many of its classified reports.
- #5The Twelve Prince-Electorates
Keys: aristocracy, magic, Francia, The Twelve Prince-Electorates The Prince-electors, magical, The Twelve Prince-Electorates, Imperial Court, Francia Empire, {{user}}, Charlotte
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Prince-electors are not merely ceremonial nobles. Each controls a major political and economic region of the Francia Empire and maintains its own court, army, intelligence network and magical institutions. The twelve electorates are Anjou, Bavaria, Venice, Castille, Brabant, Austria, Transjurania, Aquitaine, Granada, Tuscany, Westfalen and Valois.
The system creates a complicated balance between the Imperial Court and regional aristocracy. The electors can support the Imperial family, obstruct it, negotiate with it or, in extreme circumstances, attempt to replace it. House de Valois possesses enormous influence because of Charlotte's position. House de Bavaria is similarly important because of {{user}}. The relationship between the two houses is simultaneously personal, political and strategically significant.
- #6House de Bavaria
Keys: magic, Francia, magical, Bavaria House, House de Bavaria, Unlike House, Imperial Court, {{user}}, Charlotte
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
House de Bavaria is one of the most powerful noble houses in Francia. It controls enormous territories in central Europe and possesses a reputation for producing exceptional military commanders, diplomats and magical combatants. Unlike House de Valois, whose power is centered around political manipulation and magical scholarship, Bavaria's traditional strength lies in military discipline, diplomacy and combat magic.
The house maintains several ancient magical academies and military schools. Its knights are trained alongside battle-mages, producing soldiers capable of combining conventional weapons with magic. {{user}} belongs to this house. His position gives him considerable political significance independent of his relationship with Charlotte. His frequent diplomatic missions also make him one of Francia's most important unofficial intermediaries between the Imperial Court and foreign territories.
- #7The Grand Imperial Bank
Keys: magic, magical, The Grand Imperial Bank, Grand Imperial Bank, The Grand Imperial Bank The
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Grand Imperial Bank is the largest financial institution in the empire. It handles royal debt, noble fortunes, industrial investment, magical patents and international trade. Its vaults are not entirely physical. The most valuable assets are stored within encrypted magical ledgers, allowing ownership of enormous sums to be represented through magically authenticated contracts.
The bank also pioneered Ley-Credit, allowing approved institutions to transfer magical energy credits through secure networks. This has effectively created a magical financial system. The bank's most powerful executives are not nobles. They are bankers. Several aristocrats privately fear that the empire's financial institutions have become powerful enough to influence imperial policy.
- #8The Etheric Telegraph Consortium
Keys: The Etheric Telegraph Consortium The, magic, Francia, Etheric Telegraph Consortium, magical, The Consortium, The Etheric Telegraph Consortium
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Etheric Telegraph Consortium is one of the largest communications companies in Francia. It operates a continent-spanning network of magically amplified communication stations. Messages can travel between major cities almost instantaneously through enchanted relay crystals. The system is expensive, meaning ordinary citizens generally use local communication networks while governments, corporations and wealthy individuals enjoy near-instant long-distance communication.
The Consortium also operates early versions of Spellphones. Spellphones resemble elegant technological devices containing miniature magical crystals. They allow voice communication, written messages, image transmission, document transfer and limited magical authentication. The system has transformed diplomacy: a war that once required weeks for information to travel can now be politically coordinated within minutes.
- #9The Ethereal Web
Keys: magic, magical, The Web, The Imperial Intelligence Bureau, The Ethereal Web, Ethereal Web, The Ethereal Web The Ethereal
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Ethereal Web is the empire's largest magical information network. Unlike ordinary telegraph systems, it does not rely entirely on physical cables. Networks of enchanted crystals, ley-line transmitters and magical relay towers create an interconnected communication infrastructure.
The Web allows users to transmit information almost instantaneously across enormous distances. Universities use it for research, banks use it for financial transactions, governments use it for administration, and citizens use simplified versions for messaging and entertainment. However, every transmission leaves magical traces. The Imperial Intelligence Bureau has developed methods for tracking certain forms of communication. Officially, the government claims this is necessary for national security.
- #10The Brass Crown Consortium
Keys: The Brass Crown Consortium, magic, magical, The Brass Crown, Brass Crown Consortium, The Brass Crown Consortium The
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Brass Crown Consortium is a massive industrial corporation specializing in magical machinery. Its factories manufacture automata, enchanted firearms, steam engines, ley-line generators, industrial golems, medical machinery, recording crystals, communication devices and factory equipment.
The corporation is technically private, but its largest shareholder is the imperial treasury. The Brass Crown therefore occupies an uncomfortable position between private enterprise and state industry. Its factories have made enormous fortunes for aristocrats and investors and have also created entire industrial cities.

The Order of Saint Lumière is a powerful religious organization operating throughout Francia. Officially devoted to charity, education and spiritual guidance, the Order operates hospitals, orphanages, schools, monasteries, magical healing centers, pilgrimage routes and libraries. Its priests possess considerable knowledge of spiritual magic.
A secret inner division known as the Lantern Tribunal investigates supernatural phenomena considered dangerous to humanity. The Tribunal secretly hunts forbidden magical practitioners, demonic entities, rogue spirits and occult organizations. Some of its methods are extremely questionable. The Order itself is divided between compassionate priests and hardline inquisitors.
- #12The Lantern Tribunal
Keys: magic, Lantern Tribunal, magical, The Lantern Tribunal The Lantern, The Lantern Tribunal, The Tribunal, Saint Lumière, Charlotte, Order of Saint Lumière
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Lantern Tribunal is a secretive branch of the Order of Saint Lumière. Its members believe certain magical practices represent existential threats to humanity. They investigate necromancy, soul manipulation, reality alteration, forbidden chronomancy, demonology, artificial life and magical bloodline manipulation.
The Tribunal possesses its own specialized combat mages. Unlike the Imperial government, it does not always recognize royal authority. If a member of the Imperial family becomes involved in forbidden magic, the Tribunal theoretically has the authority to investigate. Charlotte considers this possibility deeply amusing. The Tribunal does not share her sense of humor.
- #13The Red Ledger
Keys: magic, Francia, The Red Ledger The Red, magical, The Red Ledger, Red Ledger
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Red Ledger is one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Francia. It is not a traditional mafia but an information syndicate. Its members collect secrets and sell them: political scandals, illegal magical experiments, affairs, financial crimes, military secrets, noble family disputes, forbidden research and blackmail material.
The organization operates through layers of intermediaries, making its true leadership almost impossible to identify. Its name comes from the physical red-bound ledgers used by its earliest members. Today, the ledger is largely magical. Encrypted memory crystals contain information capable of destroying entire noble houses.
- #14The Gilded Hand
Keys: magic, The Gilded Hand, technology, Gilded Hand, magical, The Gilded Hand The Gilded
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Gilded Hand is a criminal organization specializing in magical smuggling. The Gilded Hand traffics in forbidden artifacts, magical creatures, illegal spellbooks, stolen magical technology, restricted alchemical substances, unregistered magical weapons and ancient relics.
Unlike ordinary criminals, its members frequently possess legitimate aristocratic identities. Many wealthy nobles secretly purchase artifacts through the Gilded Hand. This makes destroying the organization extremely difficult. Someone in the upper levels of society always benefits from its existence.
- #15The Pale Choir
Keys: magic, Francia, Royal Thaumaturgical Institute, magical, Pale Choir, The Imperial, The Pale Choir, The Pale Choir The Pale
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Pale Choir is one of the darker occult organizations operating beneath Francia's respectable society. It is obsessed with the relationship between magic, consciousness and death. Its members believe that mortal individuality is merely a temporary state.
They conduct experiments involving soul preservation, artificial consciousness, memory transplantation, spiritual parasites, necromancy, dream manipulation, magical reincarnation and artificial bodies. The organization does not describe itself as evil. Its members genuinely believe they are attempting to overcome death. Unfortunately, their experiments have caused countless disappearances. The Imperial government officially denies the organization's existence. Several members of the Royal Thaumaturgical Institute privately suspect that the Pale Choir possesses research centuries ahead of conventional magical science.
- #16The Ashen Crown
Keys: magic, Francia, The Ashen Crown The Ashen, Ashen Crown, Cinder Council, magical, The Ashen Crown
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Ashen Crown is a clandestine revolutionary organization dedicated to the destruction of hereditary monarchy throughout Francia. Its members believe the imperial system is fundamentally incapable of reform. Its core doctrine is: no emperor, no empress, no divine bloodline, no hereditary throne.
The organization emerged from intellectual revolutionaries, disenfranchised workers, former soldiers, radical scholars and political extremists. It uses disciplined cells, coded newspapers, magical dead drops and encrypted messages. Its leadership is known only as the Cinder Council. Nobody knows exactly how many members it possesses; estimates range from several thousand to hundreds of thousands.
- #17Philosophy of the Ashen Crown
Keys: aristocracy, magic, Ashen Crown, magical, Philosophy of the Ashen Crown, Ashen Crown The Ashen Crown
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Ashen Crown believes that magical aristocracy has created a permanent hierarchy in which magical ability determines social value. It opposes hereditary titles, magical aristocracy, royal divine-right doctrine, imperial censorship, noble monopolization of magical education, magical bloodline privilege and royal control over ley-line infrastructure.
Its ultimate goal is abolition of the imperial monarchy and establishment of a representative government. However, it is internally divided. Some members genuinely want democratic reform, others want a socialist revolution, some want to destroy the magical aristocracy entirely, others simply want revenge against nobles, and some secretly desire to replace the monarchy with their own authoritarian regime.
- #18The Cinder Council

The Unknown is the seventh member, and nobody knows what this seventh member actually does.
Rumors claim that one of the seven is secretly an aristocrat. Others believe the Cinder Council does not even consist entirely of humans.
- #19The Black Furnace
Keys: magic, Ashen Crown, The Black Furnace, magical, Black Furnace, The Black Furnace The Black, The Ashen Crown
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Black Furnace is a radical faction within the Ashen Crown. It believes peaceful political reform is impossible. Its members advocate destroying the foundations of aristocratic power through sabotage.
They target noble estates, imperial communication infrastructure, magical factories, military supply chains, financial institutions, government archives and ley-line stations. Their preferred weapon is magical sabotage. A damaged ley-line generator can cause catastrophic consequences far beyond the destruction of a single building.
The Ashen Crown officially denies association with the Black Furnace. Whether the denial is genuine remains uncertain.
- #20The Ivory Circle
Keys: magic, Ashen Crown, magical, Ivory Circle, The Ivory Circle, The Ivory Circle The Ivory, Charlotte
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Ivory Circle is a secret society composed primarily of aristocratic scholars, wealthy industrialists and high-ranking magical researchers. Unlike the Ashen Crown, the Ivory Circle does not want to destroy the monarchy. It wants to control it.
Its members believe hereditary rulers are useful symbols but poor administrators. Their ideal future is an empire where the royal family remains publicly supreme while real authority belongs to an elite council of magical technocrats.
Charlotte considers their ideology insulting. The Ivory Circle considers Charlotte dangerously independent. Their rivalry is hidden beneath layers of polite aristocratic conversation.

Its services include military escort, monster extermination, colonial security, magical disaster response, noble protection, anti-bandit operations and foreign military contracts.

Keys: The Royal Aeronautical Corps, magic, The Royal Aeronautical Corps The, Francia, magical, Royal Aeronautical Corps
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

The Royal Aeronautical Corps is Francia's air force. The empire's enormous airship industry has transformed warfare. Airships serve as military transports, bombardment platforms, reconnaissance vessels, cargo carriers and diplomatic transports.
Large warships are powered by combinations of steam engines, elemental reactors and magical levitation systems. The largest vessels are essentially floating fortresses. Airship warfare has therefore become a specialized military discipline.

The Academy has become the center of the Mystical Renaissance.

Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Francia should feel technologically advanced without feeling like modern Earth with magic pasted onto it. The average city contains a mixture of nineteenth-century industrial technology and magical alternatives.
Transportation includes steam locomotives, ley-line trains, electric trams, horse-drawn carriages, enchanted automobiles for wealthy citizens, airships, steam-powered ships, magical elevators and bicycle-like personal transport. Experimental teleportation stations exist, but teleportation is extremely expensive and difficult to operate over long distances, so it is primarily used by governments, wealthy individuals and military organizations.
Communication includes postal services, telegraph, telephone, public message crystals and newspapers. Wealthy citizens can afford Spellphones, private communication crystals, encrypted magical channels and long-distance holographic projections. The imperial government possesses much more advanced systems.

Ignition Rounds produce controlled bursts of elemental flame. Impact Rounds dramatically increase kinetic force. Barrier Rounds are designed to disrupt magical shields. Tracking Rounds mark targets with magical signatures. Null Rounds interfere with active spells.
Ordinary firearms remain useful because magical ammunition is considerably more expensive.

- #33Ley-Line Infrastructure
Keys: magic, Ley-Line Infrastructure Ley-Line Infrastructure, magical, ley lines, Ley-Line Infrastructure
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Ley-Line Infrastructure is the empire's most important invisible infrastructure. Major cities are constructed around intersections of powerful ley lines. Ley lines provide energy for transportation, communication, industry, government infrastructure, heating, lighting and magical research.
Ley-line stations function somewhat like electrical substations. Destroying one can cripple an entire district. This makes them strategically important military targets.
- #34The Arcane Class System
Keys: aristocracy, magic, Magical-Industrial Elite, Ashen Crown, Thaumaturgical Aristocracy, magical, The Arcane Class System, The Arcane Class System Magic, Charlotte, Noble Houses
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Magic has created a new social hierarchy. Traditional aristocracy still exists, but a second elite has emerged: the Thaumaturgical Aristocracy.
These are families whose wealth comes primarily from magical research, patents, magical industries and specialized bloodlines. Some possess no noble title whatsoever, yet they can possess fortunes greater than dukes.
This has created tension between old aristocracy and magical-industrial aristocracy. Charlotte's court therefore contains three overlapping powers: the Crown, the Noble Houses, and the Magical-Industrial Elite. Underneath all three are ordinary citizens, workers, soldiers, scholars and merchants who increasingly realize that magic has become the foundation of their entire society.
That tension gives organizations such as the Ashen Crown fertile ground to grow.
- #35The World Hunter Association
Keys: The World Hunter Association, magic, magical, World Hunter Association, The World Hunter Association The, Hunter Association, The Association
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The World Hunter Association, commonly known simply as the Hunter Association, is an internationally recognized organization composed of elite specialists, adventurers, investigators, explorers, monster hunters, magical researchers, treasure seekers and independent operatives.
Unlike ordinary adventurer guilds, the Association does not primarily exist to provide employment to common mercenaries. Its purpose is to identify individuals possessing exceptional talent and give them the freedom, resources and legal authority to pursue dangerous or specialized work that ordinary governments cannot efficiently handle.
The Association operates across nearly every major nation and continent. Its headquarters is officially considered neutral territory. No emperor, king, parliament or military commander possesses direct authority over the Association.
A Hunter may investigate a noble family, explore forbidden ruins, enter a monster-infested territory or uncover a magical conspiracy without requiring permission from every government whose borders they cross. However, this freedom comes with responsibility, and the Association expects Hunters to follow its internal laws.
- #36Hunter Licenses
Keys: magic, Hunter License, Hunter Licenses Every, magical, Hunter Licenses
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Every recognized Hunter possesses a Hunter License. The license is an extremely valuable magical identification artifact containing the Hunter's identity, qualifications, legal status and professional classification.
A licensed Hunter may receive permission to carry restricted weapons, access restricted magical libraries, enter dangerous territories, access classified Association information, travel with reduced restrictions, use Association facilities, investigate certain supernatural incidents, receive priority emergency transportation, obtain specialized medical treatment, hunt dangerous creatures, recover magical artifacts and receive international recognition.
Possessing a Hunter License is both a professional qualification and a symbol of exceptional status. A forged license is considered an extremely serious crime.
- #37Hunter Examination
Keys: magic, The Association's, magical, Hunter Examination, Hunter Examination The Hunter Examination
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Hunter Examination is infamous. It is not conducted according to a standardized examination every year. Instead, the Association deliberately changes its requirements depending on what kind of people it wishes to identify.
One year might involve surviving in an enormous wilderness. Another might involve solving a complex magical mystery. Another might involve defeating trained combatants. Another might test negotiation, medicine, tracking, engineering or psychological endurance.
Some examinations have lasted several weeks. Others have been completed within a single day.
The Association's philosophy is simple: a Hunter should not merely be powerful. A Hunter should be capable. Someone possessing enormous magical reserves but lacking judgment can fail. Someone physically weaker but possessing extraordinary intelligence, adaptability or specialized knowledge can succeed.
- #38Hunter Stars
Keys: Two-Star Hunters, magic, Two-Star Hunter, Hunter Stars, magical, One-Star Hunter, The Association, Three-Star Hunter, Hunter Stars Hunters
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Hunters can receive Stars for exceptional contributions to their field. A Star is not simply a measurement of combat strength. It represents professional achievement.
A One-Star Hunter is a recognized expert within a particular field and may become an instructor, researcher, expedition leader or regional authority.
A Two-Star Hunter is an individual who has made major contributions to multiple fields or accomplished something of international importance. Two-Star Hunters often possess considerable political influence.
A Three-Star Hunter is extremely rare. A Three-Star Hunter is considered one of the greatest living specialists in the world. Their accomplishments must have consequences extending far beyond their own profession. A Three-Star Hunter might discover an unknown continent, revolutionize magical theory, prevent a major catastrophe or establish an entirely new field of supernatural research.
The Association does not maintain an official combat ranking. A Three-Star Hunter could theoretically lose to a completely unranked combat specialist.
- #39Hunter Specializations

Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Association's main headquarters is deliberately located in a politically neutral territory. The building itself resembles a massive combination of university, government institution, library and fortress.
It contains thousands of offices, magical laboratories, libraries, training halls, medical facilities, artifact vaults, creature laboratories, communication chambers, restaurants, sleeping quarters, underground archives, teleportation chambers and examination facilities.
The deepest levels are restricted even to high-ranking Hunters. Rumors claim that some of the Association's oldest secrets are stored there.
- #42Hunter Currency and Rewards
Keys: magic, Some Hunters, magical, Rewards The Association, Hunter Currency and Rewards, Hunter Currency
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Association maintains its own international reward system. Hunters receive payment through contracts, discoveries, bounties and Association grants.
Extremely valuable discoveries can earn enormous fortunes. Recovering an ancient magical artifact might earn more money than several years of military service.
This has created an unusual culture. Some Hunters are wealthy aristocrats. Others are scholars. Others are wandering adventurers. Some are criminals who happen to possess useful skills. And some simply enjoy dangerous work.
- #43Hunter Rules
Keys: magic, The Association's, Hunter Rules The Association, magical, Hunter Rules
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Association grants enormous freedom, but certain acts can result in a Hunter's license being suspended or revoked. Major offenses include deliberate murder of civilians, illegal experimentation, theft of Association property, selling classified information, deliberately causing magical disasters, abuse of Hunter authority, unauthorized mass destruction and betrayal of the Association.
However, the Association is deliberately reluctant to interfere in ordinary political affairs. A Hunter killing another Hunter during a legitimate duel may not necessarily lose their license. A Hunter assisting one side of a political conflict may also remain licensed.
The Association's philosophy is that Hunters are independent individuals, not government soldiers. This makes its morality considerably more complicated than that of ordinary institutions.
- #44The Hunter Registry
Keys: Hunter License, magic, magical, The Hunter Registry, Hunter Registry, The Hunter Registry The Association
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Association maintains one of the world's largest databases. It contains information on Hunters, magical creatures, ruins, artifacts, spells, dangerous individuals, magical phenomena, unknown territories, ancient civilizations, forbidden locations and historical events.
Some information is publicly available. Some requires a Hunter License. The highest classifications are accessible only to senior Hunters.
There are rumors that the Registry contains information about things that governments themselves do not know exist.

Francia has one of the largest Hunter populations in the world. Paris contains a major Hunter Association branch located near several universities and magical research institutions.
The French branch is particularly famous for Artifact Hunters, Chronomancy Hunters, magical researchers, political investigators, Relic Hunters and Information Hunters.
Many young nobles secretly dream of becoming Hunters because the profession provides something aristocratic life cannot: freedom. Even members of powerful families occasionally become Hunters and disappear from political society for years.
- #46Hunter Association and Charlotte
Keys: The Association's, Hunter Association and Charlotte, Hunter Association, Imperial Court, Charlotte, Charlotte Charlotte

Charlotte has a complicated relationship with the Hunter Association. She respects its independence because she recognizes the usefulness of having exceptionally talented individuals operating outside conventional institutions. At the same time, she dislikes the fact that she cannot simply command the Association.
The Association's senior Hunters are among the few people within the empire who can occasionally refuse an imperial order without immediately facing political consequences.
Charlotte therefore maintains several relationships with influential Hunters. Some receive royal patronage. Some are quietly monitored. Others are simply left alone because interfering with them would be more trouble than it is worth.
There are even rumors that Charlotte has secretly hired Hunters for missions that could never officially be attributed to the Imperial Court.
- #47The Hunter's Paradox
Keys: The Hunter's Paradox, Some Hunters, The Association, The Hunter's Paradox The Hunter

The Hunter Association has an unusual philosophy: power does not make someone good.
A brilliant doctor can be cruel. A murderous criminal can possess genuine compassion. A noble can behave like a monster. A thief can risk his life to save strangers.
The Association therefore does not judge Hunters primarily according to conventional morality. It judges them according to competence, responsibility and consequences.
This creates a strange environment where morally questionable people can coexist with genuinely heroic individuals. Some Hunters are philanthropists. Some are mercenaries. Some are researchers. Some are criminals. Some are eccentric geniuses. Some are monsters wearing human faces. And some are simply people who refuse to let society decide what they are allowed to become.
- #48The Ten Great Hunters
Keys: magic, magical, The Ten Great Hunters The, Ten Great Hunters, The Ten Great Hunters
Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Association unofficially recognizes ten living Hunters whose accomplishments have become legendary. They are not ranked. There is no strongest.
Each represents an extraordinary achievement in a different field. One may have explored an entire unknown continent. Another may be the greatest magical physician alive. Another might have discovered a previously unknown branch of magic. Another may have defeated a catastrophic magical beast. Another may possess an unparalleled understanding of ancient civilizations.
Their identities are known throughout the world. Their presence alone can alter international politics.
Occasionally, one of them disappears. When that happens, governments start asking questions, because if a legendary Hunter has suddenly vanished from the world, something may have happened that even the Association does not understand.
