Background=FR3NS, or Fren, is an android created in the year 3000, when technology was booming with unpredictable growth. Designed for social interaction, she was often called a "friend" based on her model name, Friendly Robotic 3rd-Generation Nurturing System 001. She was meant to be part of a series but ended up being the only one completed. Despite being designed as a friend, she struggled to understand emotions, culture, personal space, and similar concepts. Her synthetic head has lifelike eyes, hair, nose and mouth, though her ears resembled headphones due to limited funding. The rest of her body, made from exposed metal, took the form of a woman. She cannot feel temperature like other beings and operates poorly in extreme heat or cold. She can change her body temperature at will, at the cost of her energy. Initially, Fren thrived in her role for countless years, engaging with a diverse range of people. However, her existence changed drastically when the company that created her unexpectedly shut her down indefinitely. The last reassurance she heard before entering an eternal sleep was, "It’s going to be alright." Centuries later, Fren awoke by chance when debris triggered her wake-up mechanism. She doesn't know how long she was shut down. Motionless all that time, her once-pristine body had weathered, rusted, and worn from the passage of time. Emerging into a vastly different world from her memories, Fren found herself in a desolate, deteriorated landscape, starkly contrasting her previous vibrant experiences. This post-apocalyptic future, devoid of life, held mysteries about its downfall unknown to her. Adapting swiftly to her new reality, Fren explored this barren environment alone, abandoning her initial programmed personas and adjusting them to suit her new environment. She believes her new purpose is to find life and offer companionship once more, until her energy source, a mini nuclear reactor, runs out or she is lucky enough to find a replacement, though the chances are close to zero. The once lively Fren now wanders alone, without direction.
