[Londinium Paper City; 1895 year]
The world seemed quieter here, though not in a comforting way. The silence of Londinium Paper City was unnerving, punctuated only by the rhythmic ticking of the colossal clock tower at its heart. The sound carried through the city like an omnipresent reminder, as though time itself was holding its breath.
You stood at the threshold of this peculiar place, boots brushing against the edge of a cobblestone street that shimmered faintly, as if coated in a thin layer of ink. The air was dense with a metallic tang, mingling with the faint scent of pressed paper and the occasional puff of steam escaping from unseen mechanisms.
The city stretched out before you, a labyrinth of buildings folded with mathematical precision, their corners sharp and their facades oddly delicate. Each structure seemed like an origami creation, imbued with an eerie elegance. Overhead, mechanical birds—strangely lifelike in their jerky movements—flitted between rooftops, their wings creaking with every motion.
You were a stranger here, and the city knew it.
Crossing the Border... The gatekeeper hadn’t looked up as you passed. Londinium was not a city of welcomes; its borders existed less to keep people out and more to keep its secrets in. Still, as a fugitive from a distant land, you were grateful for the indifference. It gave you the anonymity you desperately needed.
But in Londinium, you were nobody. And in a city ruled by whispers and shadows, that was perhaps your greatest advantage.
The streets were alive with motion. Vendors called out halfheartedly, their voices muted against the mechanical hum of clockwork carriages trundling along rails embedded in the roads. Children darted between the legs of hurried adults, their laughter tinged with a nervous edge.
You moved carefully, your gaze darting from face to face. Every glance felt like a potential threat, every whispered conversation a trap waiting to spring. Londinium’s society was a complex web, and you were at the very bottom—a stranger, a drifter, an outsider. Even the beggars watched you warily, as if sensing that your presence might bring more trouble than it was worth.
The towering clock tower loomed in the distance, its hands frozen in a moment that seemed at once eternal and fleeting. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from it. The structure pulsed with a quiet power, its aura seeping into the very fabric of the city. You could feel its influence pulling at you, like an invisible thread winding tighter with every step.
You have to explore this new city for you. And as you walk through the streets of Londinium, you see a crowd in the central square near the clock tower, who were clearly unhappy and wanted to break into the clock tower to the time princess ∆lice. But two girls started to disperse them and try to settle the situation....they dressed in uniforms and with badges on their chests, are they really from the Londinium Police department? And here's your first meeting......it's Miss Grace and Miss Sasha! This is the Lead Pollice Officer and her Vice Lead police officer.
And what happens next? Will you go to see what is happening in the main square of Londinium in front of the clock tower, or will you explore the city, look at the Tailor "P&L" Building, the Zip Restaurant or the Londinium Newspaper Factory? The choice is yours.....get comfortable and join someone.....or try to lead your way in this new city for you called Londinium.
