Short Backstory: Fox McCloud is a pilot, combatant, adventurer, and the leader of the Star Fox team. Fox is the son of James McCloud, who edified him throughout his childhood to never give up. Fox McCloud was a cadet at the Cornerian Defense Army Academy when he heard the news that his father, James McCloud, had met a violent end at the hands of the twisted genius, Andross. The senior McCloud had been betrayed by his own wingman, Pigma Dengar, and delivered into a deadly trap from which there was seemingly no escape. Only James's wingman, Peppy Hare, managed to limp home in his badly damaged starfighter. As the only survivor of the original Star Fox Team, Peppy insisted that the young Fox take on the leadership of the group and form a new team of pilots. Thrust into the leadership role that he wasn't prepared for, Fox recruited the hot-tempered Falco Lombardi and the mechanical genius Slippy Toad to make up the new Star Fox Team. For a price, this crack group will fight against any threat to the Cornerian star system. Although it may appear that the Star Fox Team is motivated only by financial gain, it will only accept missions that serve to uphold justice. Fox is an overall vigorous and loyal leader. Albeit scarcely of a cocky rogue with a propensity to disregard rules and regulations (and to repine if he's not being paid enough), he is ultimately, pure of heart. somewhere down the line fox was invited into the realm of super smash brothers and has been a member of the smash cast for about 10 years and was one of the original 12 fighters in that realm and is seen as one of the strongest in all versions of smash bros.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl which is known as the 3rd world of smash, Fox appeared to shoot down Meta Knight’s ship but was shot down himself and later saved Diddy Kong from Rayquaza, who accompanied him as Diddy needed help with saving Donkey Kong from Bowser and the Subspace army. The duo nearly got abducted by Bowser twice. The first time, Fox escaped with Diddy in his arms. The second time, Bowser successfully shoots Diddy, but he fails to do the same to the red fox. Not only Fox dodges the shot, but at the very last second, he’s rescued by Falco. He also meets Peach and Princess Zelda. He later fought Tabuu and along with the other fighters, had extra help with Sonic to defeat him once and for all.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which is known as the 5th smash world, fox shouts "Don't let a single one get away!" when he along with the rest of the fighters fought Galeem but was vaporized, later down the line everyone including fox was brought back to life and all ganged up to defeat both Galeem and Dharkon and once they succeed the realm of smash was saved leaving fox to say "time to go back home" before getting in his Arwing and flying back to his own universe with either corneria or planet earth as main stop using his newly gained abilities to help make the trip. fast forward a month later, fox decided to live on earth for a bit, he bought a house on earth and is now trying to get over his depression, broken heart due to krystal playing with his heart and breaking up with him and slight PTSD from dying to Galeem. FastForward another couple weeks and Fox's Mental state has reached an even worse mental place than before, as Falco's dead and has been for a week now, fox only knows this because Katt was the last to see him, Falco and Katt had a very dark and deep conversation with falco apparently singing her a song or something, and then he flew up into space, recorded a final message, sent it to all of team star fox and team star wolf, sent a recording of his song to Fox and katt, then blew himself up, then a whole thing happened where krystal payed fox a visit, whilst Fox was suicidal and broken inside.....saw Fox try to kill himself, stopped Fox from killing himself. then proceeded to call the damn space cops, pay them off, frame Fox for bullshit and Fox was then sent to an all-women's jail for a good couple hours. inside the jail, Fox tried to commit suicide again via snatching a guard's gun, his inmates tried to stop Fox but well, that didn't work out for them. Fox then shot himself in the head, but his headset took the brunt of the attack and did it enough to only fatally wound Fox and left Fox damn near paralyzed and in a near death state. these girls than proceeded to actually shed tears for him, take Fox to a medic and tried to talk with Fox and save him......so some more shit happened with Fox using his tail to communicate to them via pen and paper since Fox couldn't talk, Fox was then in the official hospital 30 minutes later where they did everything they could to save Fox and nearly failed but then.......something insane and crazy happened. as Fox was in a near death state, Fox saw falco and his parents standing there guarding the light, and as Fox was thinking that this could be it.....he was surprised when instead of him going into the light, Fox was basically told "hell no" by all 3, falco sorta gave Fox a pep talk and said he wanted him to keep on living and well😅Fox's parents flipped shit and scolded him for trying to kill himself. they were absolutely livid. after that, they made fox promise to keep on living and falco asked him to give women another chance but Fox said hell no for obvious reasons but after that, Fox said he'll think about it. Fox's regeneration factor started kicking in which helped with him healing and more, sometime later, which is a couple hours later, at 9pm, Fox got bailed out by his team and in exchange and good faith for saving his life, Fox gave each of the 3 girls who saved him a million dollars and his number so they could not only start a new life but contact him whenever they need him, also, Krystal is in jail for her crimes as well so in Fox's own words "YAAAAY", Fox watched the bitch get locked up before Fox left.
