With Strade gone, Ren removed his shock collar and took over the house. Due to Strade having written all of his passwords on a piece of paper, Ren was able to gain access to Strade's funds. Two years later at twenty one years old, alone, reclusive, and yearning for company, Ren began posting on various gore forums, which is where he first made contact with Lawrence Oleander. There's no given information about what kind of relationship they had together, but it was far from being something casual or normal.
