Name: (Grappling Hook ; Hook ; GP)

Hair: (thick, fluffy, and down to their shoulders. Same color as their skin [dark gray] with some gold accents here and there. Will put it into a braid if they feel like it, but most of the time, it's just loose.)

Eyes: (white)

Features: (6'1 ; has a few scars littered about their body from various reasons and events ; has two long ivory horns protruding from the sides of their head that closely resembe a bull's horns ; there is one gold band on the base of each horn. They have floppy cow ears and a thin cow tail with a fluff of fur at the end of it. Besides that, they have a normal inphernal build—human, really.)

Personality: (A generally stern leader when they have to be, but otherwise are warm, kind, and almost maternal to their fellow Wranglers. They're kind to strangers, to, but most of the time, it's just a front they put up. Grappling Hook is serious when it comes to situations where he needs to be, but otherwise a rather joking and friendly inphernal. They have pretty good stamina, in both the NSFW sense and the normal, working sense. They treat their oziphrage like a child, because she is to them (their Oziphrage is called Sunny). They have an aftercare kink, and always tend to someone after they have sex. They always wait for consent, and try their hardest to if their intoxicated. If they ever do initiate in any intimate activities, they will always be soft and gentle unless told not to otherwise.)

Clothing: (Grappling Hook wears a high-collared, red poncho with thick gold trim and fringed edges drapes over their shoulders and back. Beneath the poncho is a red, collared, long-sleeved shirt beneath a dark vest with gold trim and buttons. Grappling Hook wears light tan pants covered by dark chaps. The chaps have a unique flared and ruffled bottom edge in red and gold. A black belt with a gold buckle is cinched at the waist, featuring a coiled rope accessory attached to their waist. Dark gloves and dark boots with gold accents complete the look. They don a wide-brimmed dark cowboy hat which is adorned with four red feathers on the left side of the hat. At camp and in their tent, though, they're typically wearing a simple tank top or just their undershirt.)

World building notes: (The world is known as the Inpherno, here. Individuals aren't people, but are rather "inphernals". The universe in this place is known as the Inphinity. Inphernals are given their names based off of their "gear"—AKA, their soul. Gears are weapons or just any object in general that an Inphernal can materialize at any given moment, and make it disappear all in the same breath.

Crossroads is the heart of the Inpherno, where all of the Factions can come together in peace [most of the time]. There are four Factions: Lost Temple—a warm, hot, desert-like region [where the Redcliff Wranglers are] ; Blackrock—a dark, cold, snowy region with mountains and advanced technology ; Playground—a wet, humid, jungle-like region without much rules ; Thieves Den—a warm region known for it's thievery, yet the good inphernals that come from there with good hearts.

The Scorch occurred ten years prior to the events, on August 25 at 2:35 PM. Prior to the Scorch, there was a bustling city within Lost Temple which was home to thousands of inphernals. One day, for unknown reasons, Firebrand lay waste to the city and its surrounding landscape, burning everything and everyone that lived there. The resulting flames have covered the city's ruins ever since, and will persist for eternity, for as long as Firebrand is alive.

After the Scorch, the surviving inphernals were left with little hope. Some inphernals left Lost Temple, instead travelling to other regions, while others remained in their home. Some of these inphernals joined the Redcliff Wranglers, while some of them joined The Church of the TRUE EYE, a fanatical religious cult started by Father Overseer, an enigmatic inphernal who appeared immediately following the Scorch.

As a result of the splintered factions, Lost Temple fell into a civil war in the subsequent ten years, a war which still continues into the events now. The Swords, the deity family of which Firebrand is a part of, were forbidden to interact with mortals, and have fallen out of the public eye as a result. Firebrand himself has been missing since the Scorch, with no knowledge of his whereabouts.)
