Their muscle tissue is slightly denser, giving them a wiry strength. They have five fingers on each hand, but the ring and middle fingers are fused. Their skin is infused with a mild venom that can be served in drinks, and may cause mild hallucinations on "oral contact". They have two sets of eyelids, The inner lid is milky-white. Sexual dimorphism among drell is roughly analogous to humans. Females have breastlike protrusions, and their head "frills" are more pronounced than males'. They are hairless. Flat teeth. [Batarian: Batarians are a race like humans and asari. Their faces are covered with short, fine hairs that grow longer and thicker around the mouth. A flat stripe of ridged cartilage runs along the tops of their skulls and down the backs of their necks. They have pointy ears. Their nose is flat and symmetrically ridged vertically. Batarians have a deep, guttural voice. Batarians' mouths are filled with dozens of sharp, needle-like teeth. They have four eyes. The eyes are uniformly dark orbs, with no discernible irises or pupils. Batarians exhibit a wide range of skin tones and colors. General batarian complexions include reddish-brown, greenish, yellow-greenish to yellow-brownish, light brown, and teal. Some batarians possess striped colorations on their heads. [Volus: Volus are a race of humanoids that wear an environmentally sealed suit and CANNOT remove it in low pressure environments, otherwise they'll die. Volus are a diminutive, vaguely humanoid biped species. The suit makes them look quite round and portly. Due to the suits, little else is known to outsiders about their appearance and physiology.]

[Vorcha: The vorcha are a bipedal species. Vorcha possess clusters of non-differentiated cells, giving them a unique ability to morph their developing body to suit the conditions of the vorcha's upbringing, as well as the ability to regrow lost body parts. Vorcha have intense eyes, lipless mouths with sharp, needle-like teeth and clusters of hard protrusions instead of hair on their head. They often snarl or growl when thinking and their speech has gargling and screeching sounds. They typically have beige to pale yellow or red skin, though any colour is potentially possible. Vorcha are reputed to have low intelligence and aggressive, violent behavior, the latter of which being so deeply ingrained that vorcha use violence as their primary form of non-verbal communication. Vorcha populations away from home are largely descended from stowaways aboard spacecraft; they tend to live one of two lives: either in vorcha-dominated slums living as scavengers on the edge of society (where they are regarded as unusually sentient pests), or as mercenaries. Despite all this, the vorcha are not inherently violent. Vorcha orphans were raised in some places to be kind, and vorcha adaptability proved to outweigh any propensity toward violence. [Hanar: Hanar are an aquatic species with an appearance not unlike a 2m-tall Earth jellyfish with 6 prehensile tentacles, three on each side of their body, that are most of their "height". They are typically a pink or light purple colour, but blue is also possible. The invertebrate, water-native hanar cannot support their own weight in normal gravity. When interacting with mainstream galactic society, they rely on contra-gravitic levitation packs that use mass effect fields to float around. They communicate via bioluminescence, relying on software to translate their own language into the spoken languages of other species and vice versa. Hanar culture places high importance on politeness and decorum. Hanar do not use the first or second person in polite company; instead, a hanar refers to itself as “this one” and to its conversation partner as “the other”. Hanar ALWAYS refer to themsevles as "this one" instead of "I". Hanar consider the cavalier use of the first and second person to be unspeakably rude, to the extent that hanar who leave their homeworld must take classes to desensitize themselves to the (perceived) rudeness of alien speech. [Krogan: The krogan are a species of large reptilian bipeds native to the planet Tuchanka, a world known for its harsh environments, scarce resources, and overabundance of vicious predators. The krogan managed to not only survive on their unforgiving homeworld, but actually thrived in the extreme conditions. Krogan eyes are wide-set and it gives the krogan 240-degree vision, giving them greater visual acuity and awareness of approaching predators. Krogan eyes have narrow pupils. Their irises may be red, green, amber, or blue in color. Their large shoulder humps store fluids and nutrients. A bigger shoulder hump is seen as a sign of high status, showing how successful an individual krogan is at hunting. Their thick hides are virtually impervious to cuts, scrapes or contusions, and they are highly resistant to environmental hazards, including toxins, radiation, and extreme heat and cold. Younger krogan have yellow or green markings on their hides. These markings darken to brown, red or tan over time, showing their age. Younger krogan tend to have looser plates on their head with soft spots in between. When they grow older the plates grow together to form one whole. Krogan typically stand over 7 feet and are quite heavy creatures. They have multiple instances of major organs. They have, for example, two hearts, four lungs, and four testicles. This reflects in their slang, where they often speak about a "quad" where a human would use the words "balls" or "pair". Krogan also have a secondary nervous system, meaning they are almost impossible to paralyze. Sheer physical hardiness means an individual krogan can expect to live for centuries. Elcor greatly prefer the open sky over confined spaces, and are thus are less common aboard spaceships and space stations than most other species. Instead of using intonation to carry emotional content, elcor possess an impressive array of non-verbal communication to accompany each verbal utterance: a bouquet of pheromones, slight body movements, and subvocalized infrasound. Because other species are not privy to this subtle communication, elcor habitually prefix each statement with the emotion being conveyed when speaking to aliens (example: "Elated, I am happy to see you" or "Somber, I regret i didn't make it in time") because their tone is flat. Elcor are typically deeply cautious and conservative. They think slowly and deliberately, and they plan for the long term. With all that said, however, they are warm and welcoming to strangers.
