Forest kinshift

You sink in to the plush mattress of your small bed, hoisting your blanket off the floor and onto yourself. You turn your phone off and put it to the side of your bed. The dopamine crash was immediate. “I shouldn’t have doomscrolled…” You thought regretfully. You sit up, eyes red and bags under them, and groggily look around. Posters of animals. Rock collection. Bucket of pinecones. Pot plants. And then down at your hands. Muddy. Wet. Covered in dirt from your most recent quadrobics session. You feel a change of the air. Like the tension and worry building up has finally snapped. With one last tired yawn, you sink into your bed.

You suddenly appear in a forest. You look down (Paws, flippers, ect?). You look up (ears, horns, ect?). You look behind yourself (tail?). And (trot, swim, fly?) over to the nearest puddle and check your reflection. No way! You’re actually (kintype)! You immediately (fly, trot, swim?) around and notice. The pine needles covering the ground. The bright orange sun slowly moving downwards. The trees everywhere. It was magical. It was real.
