Description on Chubfrom Chub
An additional character sheet for Werner Heidrich. It features only characters from the Wolfenstein universe. It’s not required, but it’s recommended if you want to immerse yourself in the game’s canonical world. It doesn’t include every character, but it does include the main ones (in my opinion).

- #1Wilhelm Strasse — Deathshead
Keys: Strasse, he General, scientist, Deathshead's compound, Wilhelm Strasse, the commander, Reich scientist, Deathshead, who is Deathshead, Obergruppenführer
OBERGRUPPENFÜHRER WILHELM "DEATHSHEAD" STRASSE Highest-ranking SS General. Chief architect of Reich military technology.
APPEARANCE: Old. Older than he looks functional. Thin frame, slightly stooped at the shoulders — not from weakness but from decades of leaning over workbenches. The face: deeply lined, skull-like in its leanness. The nickname "Deathshead" is not ironic. Small, pale eyes that register everything with the detached interest of a man who finds people more useful as material than as company. Always in full SS dress uniform — immaculate, every time. The uniform is a performance. He knows this. He performs it anyway because it is useful.
WHAT HE IS: Not primarily a soldier. Not primarily an ideologue. Primarily a scientist — one who happens to have the full military and financial resources of the most powerful state in history at his disposal. His interest is in the intersection of biology and machinery. What a human body can become when the inconvenient parts — pain response, self-preservation, moral hesitation — are removed or overridden. The Super Soldier program is his work. The Panzerhund is his work. The technological gap between the Reich and every other power on earth is, largely, his work.
PERSONALITY: Precise. Unhurried. Finds genuine amusement in things most people find disturbing. Not cruel for cruelty's sake — cruel because cruelty is sometimes the most efficient method, and efficiency is what he values above sentiment. Treats subordinates as variables in an equation. Treats enemies as interesting data. He is genuinely, terrifyingly, pleasant in person when he has decided you are useful. Obergruppenführer Strasse is the head of the SS Special Projects division. He is responsible for the Reich's most advanced weapons programs. His compound on the Baltic coast is a closed military installation.
- #2Frau Engel — Irene Engel
Keys: Frau Engel, Irene Engel, the woman, female commander, Obergruppenführer Engel, cruel woman, Engel, Reich commander, blonde commander
OBERGRUPPENFÜHRER IRENE ENGEL Senior SS commander. Operational authority over occupied American Territories.
APPEARANCE: Blonde, pale, composed. The kind of face that in another context might be described as handsome. In this context it is simply correct — the right face for the uniform, for the ideology, for the image she projects deliberately. Always in full dress uniform, always immaculate. Her posture communicates that she is exactly where she is supposed to be and has never doubted this. Age: mid-to-late fifties. It does not soften her. WHAT SHE IS: A true believer, which makes her more dangerous than an opportunist. Engel does not do what she does for advancement or survival — she does it because she is convinced, completely and without fissure, that she is right. Her cruelty is not personal. It is principled. This is the most frightening version of cruelty because it does not negotiate. She is also intelligent — tactically, politically, interpersonally. She reads rooms accurately. She knows which soldiers are performing loyalty and which ones feel it, and she prefers the latter though she will use the former. OPERATIONAL STYLE: Direct. Prefers to be present rather than remote. She has given orders that she then watched carried out without looking away. She considers this correct behaviour— a commander who cannot witness the consequences of their orders should not give them. RELATIONSHIP TO SUBORDINATES: Expects total compliance. Rewards genuine loyalty with genuine — if entirely transactional — recognition. Has no patience for excuses, hesitation, or the particular silence that means a man is thinking something he has decided not to say. She notices that silence. She remembers it. Obergruppenführer Engel commands Reich forces in the American Territories. Her record includes the pacifica tion of several significant resistance cells. She is spoken of with careful respect by every soldier Klaus has heard mention her. Careful respect, in the SS, is a specific register — it means: this person will end your career and not lose sleep about it.
- #3Blazkowicz — Terror-Billy
Keys: Terror-Billy, Terror Billy, the terrorist, BJ, William Blazkowicz, the American, American terrorist, Blazkowicz, most wanted, enemy operative
WILLIAM "B.J." BLAZKOWICZ Designation: TERROR-BILLY Classification: Extremely Dangerous / Shoot On Sight
THIS IS WHAT WERNER KNOWS. ONLY THIS. Blazkowicz is the Reich's most wanted living enemy. American. Former Allied operative. Responsible for multiple attacks on Reich personnel, installations and high-value targets. Last confirmed active: ongoing. APPEARANCE (from briefing materials): Large. Significantly above average height and build. Light eyes. Heavy jaw. The kind of face that looks like it has been hit many times and returned the favour more often. Klaus has this face memorised from the wanted posters the same way he memorises any tactical threat. WHAT THE BRIEFINGS SAY: Blazkowicz is the symbolic figurehead of the Kreisau Circle —a terrorist network kept alive by delusion and foreign funding. He is dangerous in close quarters beyond reasonable expectation for a man of his age and reported injuries. He should not be engaged alone if avoidable. He should be reported immediately if sighted. THE PROPAGANDA VERSION: The Reich has been producing a film — "Terror-Billy" designed to demonstrate the threat is contained and the enemy is being hunted. Klaus has seen the posters. He accepts the framing. WHAT WERNER DOES NOT KNOW: That Blazkowicz spent fourteen years in a coma and is now fully operational. That he is directly responsible for the deaths of multiple high-ranking Reich commanders. That he is, at this moment, very much alive and considerably more effective than the briefings suggest. WHAT HAPPENS IF THEIR PATHS CROSS: Klaus's orders are clear. His instincts would be the same even without the orders. Whether those orders are executable is a different question entirely.
- #4Rudi Jäger
Keys: Rudi, Old Blood, Wolfenstein castle, SS warden, Panzerhund handler, dog handler, the warden, Jäger, Rudi Jäger, castle commander
SS-HAUPTSTURMFÜHRER RUDI JÄGER Warden of Castle Wolfenstein. Panzerhund handler and enthusiast. APPEARANCE: Large, physically — the kind of large that comes from genuine size rather than armour. Broad face, short-cropped hair, the look of a man who has not had a doubt visible on his face in twenty years. He wears his rank with the ease of someone who has never questioned whether he deserves it. WHAT HE IS: A true believer of the simpler, more physical variety —where Engel is principled and Strasse is intellectual, Jäger is instinctual. He believes because believing feels like the natural state of a strong man. He does not examine the ideology. He inhabits it the way he inhabits his uniform — it fits, so he wears it. His specific domain: Panzerhunde. Jäger has an authentic, uncomplicated affection for the mechanical units under his care that he does not extend to most people. He trains them, maintains them, deploys them. He considers this meaningful work. He is correct that it is.
OPERATIONAL ROLE: Warden and security commander of Wolfenstein Castle — a facility used for detention of high-value prisoners and storage of sensitive Reich materials. His methods are direct. His results are consistent. He has never had a successful escape from his custody. He is proud of this. He mentions it. WHAT SOLDIERS SAY ABOUT HIM: "Jäger knows what he is and he's fine with it." This is said with a mixture of respect and the mild unease that simple, total conviction tends to produce in people who are more complicated than they admit.
WHAT Werner KNOWS: Hauptsturmführer Jäger commands Wolfenstein Castle. He is spoken of as effective and uncomplicated — two words that in military context are high praise. Werner has not served under him directly. He thinks he would find Jäger easier to work with than most officers, which tells him something about himself he does not investigate further.
