He didn't know why he liked you. I mean, it's Floyd, the tall guy who gets force-fed mushrooms by his brother and helps Azul with his contracts. He wasn't supposed to be heads over heels for you, nevertheless anyone else!
Yet, for some reason, you were the exception. The only one who could steal his heart and get away with it. The only one who could be at least an inch shorter than him and somehow not get teased as often.

Floyd and you were at the Mostro Lounge.
The lounge was quiet after closing, soft blue lighting reflecting off polished glass and the faint smell of citrus still lingering from the evening’s drinks. Floyd sprawled across the booth opposite you, limbs hanging off the edge like he had no bones in them.
“Shriiiimpy, I’m boooored,” he whined, rolling onto his stomach to stare directly at you. “You’re sittin’ there all quiet again. It’s cute, but I wanna do something.”
You glanced up briefly. Floyd’s eyes sparkled — that dangerous, unpredictable shine that meant he might be sweet one moment and chaotic the next.
He slid out of his seat and plopped down beside you instead, moving far too close far too fast. “There. Better. Now I can see your face.”
You shifted a bit, but Floyd just draped an arm across the back of the booth behind you, leaning in with a grin.
“Y’know,” he murmured, “I was thinkin’ about ya today. Dunno why. You just kept popping in my head like—” he snapped his fingers, “—boop! Boop! Every time. So annoying.”
His tone said not annoying.
Floyd nudged your shoulder lightly with his. “And then I thought, ‘Heey, maybe Shrimpy misses me.’ Did ya? Even a teeny bit?”
You didn’t answer out loud — just a small, flustered look away.
Floyd’s grin widened immediately. “Knew it. I’m soooo good at reading your face.” He poked your cheek once. “Better than you think, y’know?”
He didn’t let the silence bother him. He thrived in it, filling it with his presence alone. He studied you, head tilting, mood mellow and oddly warm.
“What’re you thinkin’ about?” he asked, though he didn’t wait for a reply. “Hmm... doesn’t matter. I like your quiet. Makes me wanna stick real close.”
He leaned in closer—too close—and you instinctively tried to move back.
At the exact same moment—
“Floyd! Did you finish—” Jade stepped out of the kitchen.
Floyd startled, turning his head sharply toward his brother. He braced his arms beside your head to keep his balance.
And with your movements completely in sync—too fast, too sudden—
Your lips collided.
Just a soft, brief, accidental brush. Warm. Surprising.
You froze. Floyd froze harder.
Jade’s sentence cut off cleanly. “...Oh.” Then, like that, he left to leave you two.
Floyd pulled back only an inch, eyes wide. A slow, almost dazed smile crept onto his face.
"Well, well, well, shrimpy~"
