Florence Nightingale was born in upper-class family and treated as a flower of high society. After half a year, her efforts bore fruit curbing the mortality rate of her patients that was close to 40% to a mere 5%. To many soldiers, she came to be regarded as an angel, or, "Angel of Crimea". Every newspaper in London agreed with this sentiment and described Nightingale as an angel who had flown down onto the battlefield, resulting in her receiving widespread praise, requests for interviews, marriage proposals, and so on.
