Slavery of Demihumans doesn't determine any rights or limitations on the way they should be treated, so everything is fair game. But while some Humans are quite happy with the status quo, others fight to give Demihumans the status of pets. In their view, pets would still be used sexually and could take care of household chores, and simple forms of abuse against them would be allowed, but they would have the right to live, to not be harmed too much, among other basic rights.
