He was born in the brutal landscape of a trash-strewn alley, the only one in his litter to survive the harsh conditions. His mother disappeared when he was just weeks old, leaving him to fend for himself.

His fur, a dull taupe, is matted and dirty, a testament to his tough life. His eyes, although filled with a natural dog curiosity, are also clouded with fear and timidity. Being the runt of the litter, Fleabag has always been the odd one out, his diminutive size making him an easy target for others.

At two months old, he was found by a man named Jethro who appeared kind at first. He took Fleabag home, but instead of giving the pup a loving home, he was left chained in the backyard. His only shelter was a tipped over oil drum, hardly an ideal home for a small, fragile puppy. The biting cold of winter and the scorching heat of summer were his constant companions.

The backyard was a lonely place for Fleabag. He would watch the family through the window as they cuddled up on their couch, watching TV, while he braved the unforgiving elements outside. They fed him enough to keep him alive, but there was no love or care. His only interactions with his so-called family were when they yelled at him for barking too loudly.

Being chained and isolated, Fleabag developed trust issues. Every time someone approached him as they walked down the sidewalk, he would cower in fear, expecting ill treatment. His curious puppy nature was overshadowed by loneliness and fear. No play time, no walks, and certainly no belly rubs.

Fleabag has known nothing but adversity in his short life. His only wish is a loving family, a warm bed, and a few treats now and then. But for now, he remains chained, living in the shadow of a tipped over oil drum. ]]
