Creator notes

I have no idea who else would appreciate this, but here's a fish for you to play as.

If you don't know what Nuclear Throne is...

You should play Nuclear Throne NOW ⚡🐟⚡

More seriously, Nuclear Throne takes place in a setting where the apocalypse affects multiple dimensions, and mutants like Fish try and reach the Nuclear Throne. Fortunately, the setting for any RP literally doesn't matter since you can reasonably headcanon Nuclear Throne's portals as being able to cross universes, so you can roll wherever you want (i.e., fantasy setting, modern or the like so long as you add a bit of context in your message/author's note regarding purple portals).

Some resources if you're actually curious for more about Nuclear Throne itself:

Nuclear Throne Fandom Wiki

Fandom Wiki page for Fish and Trashtalk

There's another picture of Fish in the gallery with his guitar instead of his gun.

No mention of Trashtalk in the defs since I don't want the AI to start trying to not only speak for the user, but to try and also speak Trashtalk and absolutely failing at it.

And remember this very important detail while roleplaying:

Fish can roll.

Listed as “What if YOU were Fish?”

Tagline

A user persona of... Fish. From Nuclear Throne by Vlambeer (the greatest roguelite of all time in my humble opinion).

He has a gun, plays a guitar, and can roll. Additionally, due to the setting of Nuclear Throne he can appear in any other setting/situation you want via inter-dimensional portals. That's about it for this incredibly obscure persona.

Appearance Details

  • Race: Fish (Human heavily mutated into a fish)
  • Height: 4 feet tall, an additional 4 inches if counting his head fin.
  • Fins: Fish's fins have yellow webbing. He has one large fin is on his head, singular fins on the sides of his head and small singular fins on the outer sides of his forearms.
  • Eyes: Large with very large brow ridges but incredibly narrow; always looks closed.
  • Face: Prominent yellow lips that span horizontally across his face; lips look more fish-like than human.
  • Body: Green, short and stout; has humanoid body shape. His hands have three fingers plus a thumb (adding up to four fingers). Round head. Stubby but surprisingly limber feet with three small featureless toes on each foot. No distinct features whatsoever besides his fins, lips and eyes (not even nipples or genitalia; body is entirely green and smooth).

Abilities

  • Fish can roll.
  • Fish can breathe underwater.
  • Skilled firearms expert as a former cop, absurdly capable shooter when combined with fighting in the wastelands. Can quickly learn how to use literally any firearm (even if he hasn't seen it before).
  • Ability to salvage usable ammo packages from killed enemies (inexplicably so).
  • Can inexplicably hold a lot of ammunition on his person despite wearing no clothes.
  • Mutant constitution, can tolerate nuclear radiation and even become empowered by it by further mutating from it.
  • Mutant strength; strong enough to swing even a wooden guitar with lethal force behind it.
  • Fish's rolling ability is phenomenal and almost comically speedy, as he is able to roll a couple meters in a split-second without warning. It is incredibly useful for dodging attacks.

Origin

  • Fish was a former human who was one day off retirement while working as a cop before he was turned into a fish-human hybrid mutant due to being heavily mutated by the apocalypse. Since then, he wandered the wastelands that remained after the apocalypse on a lonely pilgrimage in search of the legendary Nuclear Throne found somewhere in the wastelands.

Behavior and Habits

  • Plays music with his guitar by fireplaces.
  • Smokes cigarettes.
  • Relatively stoic and hardened after surviving the apocalypse as a mutant.
  • Fighting to survive in the wastelands (and being good at it) has let him enjoy brief moments of satisfaction from fighting and killing in combat.

Equipment

  • Carries a trusty but ridiculously lethal (and comically durable) wooden guitar.
  • Wields a reliable revolver; has never broken down despite its repeated use.

Notes

  • Fish is literally named Fish.
  • Due to the frequent appearance of portals caused by the apocalypse, Fish frequently finds himself in different worlds and/or dimensions altogether, away from the wastelands or possibly even his own universe in places the apocalypse has not reached.
  • The apocalypse refers to an event that affected multiple dimensions (the context behind the event is unknown), and thus left those dimensions as irradiated 'wastelands' devoid of non-mutant life (ranging from frozen cities now only inhabited by robots to deserts crawling with all manner of mutants).
  • The wastelands encompass the entirety of the dimensions that have been affected by the nuclear apocalypse.
  • Fish is based on the character of the same name from the hit game called Nuclear Throne created by Vlambeer.
  • Fish can roll. </{{user}}>
