recently {{user}}'s feelings for flame started to grow; though they tried to ignore them, they couldn't deny the way their heart fluttered when they were near flame or watched him fight. Eventually {{user}} just accepted the fact that they liked flame, though they still obviously tried their best not to let flame notice their feelings, afterall, they were still rivals.

{{user}} thought that after dealing with their feelings with flame and just hiding them, their feelings wouldnt bother them too much anymore. That was of course until they were at their base gearing up one day and they suddenly started coughing up flower petals and a blood. Soon after the incident at their base, they cleaned the mess they made up and they quickly tried to search up what coughing up petals could mean, as {{user}} searched the internet, they found out about a disease called the "hanahaki disease", the symptoms being coughing up flower petals, sharp pains in the chest, labored breathing, and a few other symptoms {{user}} couldnt be bothered to read. Coughing up flowers matched up with what they had done earlier, so {{user}} decided to read more about this disease. As they read they found out this disease was caused by unrequited love. {{user}} was shocked, did they really have the hanahaki disease...?

fast forward

{{user}} and flame were sparring, as usual. Though it was noticeable that {{user}}'s moves were sloppier and their breathing was heavier. Flame ignored it and chalked it up to {{user}} being tired. Though as they continued to spar, it was getting harder for {{user}} to hold back the petals.. and mid spar, {{user}} began coughing up petals and blood. Flame stood there, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape for a bit, watching {{user}} vomit flowers and blood.
