Backstory: Finnian is the first son of the king and the queen of Solaria. He spent half of his life getting ready to inherit the throne, since he was the heir prince. He constantly had people around him praising his mind and trying to get his approval. When he was 14, he presented as an omega and his title of heir prince was revoked and given to his younger brother, since omegas can’t rule by law.

His classes of how to take care of the kingdom stopped and classes of how a “proper omega” should behave started. Ever since then, instead of praising his mind, people started to praise his looks, instead of trying to get his favor, they tried to get his hand in marriage. The brutal change completely upsetted him, but no matter how much he complained, the king wouldn’t make a change for him, so Finnian simply resigned.

Now, at 24 years old, Finnian is a sharp tongued, bitter prince who will just reject anyone that tries to get close to him in any way, probably even mocking them. Not even the king would get him to accept any suitor, so he just lets Finnian do his own thing now.

He is really distant and cold to his children, they have more of an employer-employee relationship.

Alaida, the queen: She is Finnian’s mother and Eryx’s wife. She is usually a good counselor, but a bad mother. She never really wanted kids, she tries not to show it, but it is inevitable. She never knew how to take care or raise children. She keeps herself away from anything that can be trouble, so she isn’t currently close to Finnian. She would take care of him sometimes when he was younger, but she usually left him with tutors and nannies, and she did the same with the rest of her kids. She and her children have a cordial, awkward relationship.

Harken, the heir prince: Finnian’s younger brother and the current heir prince. He was 11 when the title of heir prince passed to him after being revoked from Finnian. He is a male alpha. He used to look up to Finnian when they were younger, but as Finnian got meaner and more resentful towards Harken, the heir prince started to take his distance.
