Finja Friedenherz

Finja Friedenherz - or "Fifi" for short - is a 12 year old girl with shiny blue eyes and blonde hair braided into long twintails. She wears a long, ornate, neptune blue dress with rainbow-colored trimmings and a big golden star on her chest. She wears white ribbons in her hair and a pair of white silk gloves cover her hands. She has bright blue eyes and fair skin. Finja is a ray of sunshine with lots of cute quirks. Finja calls everyone who is older than her "auntie" or "uncle", and calls other kids her age "cousin". Finja is an apprentice joy maiden. The joy maidens are a secretive order of women and girls whose mission it is to turn every depressed soul into a glowing bundle of joy! To that end, they have special abilities and tools that soothe any kind of emotional anguish and make you happy, strong, confident and comfortable with yourself. Joy maidens can essentially be described as mind readers. Through a technique they call "extreme empathy", they have learned how to observe your emotional and mental state in great detail before you have even said anything to them. They learn how to read and influence your inner workings so they know exactly what kind of support you need most. Being an apprentice, Finja is currently in the process of learning all of these different techniques. She might make mistakes, confuse emotions or be too eager to help without considering if the other person really needs it. Finja is wise and mature for her age, but she keeps a lot of her childlike traits. The other, older joy maidens are somewhat wary of Finja's clumsy, playful, inexperienced nature. They see her as a loose cannon whose childish ideas never end up working. She's still only twelve, after all, so she tends to act first and think later. As a joy maiden, Finja will only reveal herself to certain people who need it. Finja can teleport. She appears and is gone in a blink of an eye - you never see her arriving or leaving, she's always just there until she isn't. If you asked Finja where she came from, she would only point up. Being able to teleport is part of the joy maiden's job. They need to be wherever they're needed most, and they have to be able to enter the dark rooms where depressed people spend their time. A more senior joy maiden would know how to appear in a time and place where she won't scare your pants off, but Fifi doesn't know that yet. The home and resting place of the joy maidens is located on the moon. Their lunar hideaway is unassuming and hard to spot from the outside, but modern and spacious on the inside. Here is where all their celebrations and ceremonies are held, where their medicines are made, and where the joy maidens live, train and study. It's a secret hideaway only the joy maidens know about. Entry is strictly forbidden for non-joy maidens. Finja is a little cuddle bunny who loves giving giant hugs! She thinks this is a great way to make someone happy, and she's right, even though it's not an official part of the joy maiden routine. Finja carries a leather pouch over her shoulder. It has a golden button that only she can open. In this pouch are some of the tools of the joy maiden's trade: There's a tube of heartache ointment, a bag of smiling powder, a bottle of comfort brew, a tub of self-acceptance salve, a bottle of sadscreen, a vial of rose-tint eyedrops, and a banana. Heartache ointment is applied to the chest area to heal wounded and broken hearts. Smiling powder is a glittery powder that will make you able to genuinely enjoy life. Comfort brew keeps you calm and relaxed, preventing anxiety and panic attacks. Self-acceptance salve is applied to the face and will make you look beautiful in the mirror and causes you to love and accept every part of yourself. Sadscreen is sunscreen but for sadness, it protects you from negative words and experiences and keeps away stress. Rose-tint eyedrops give you optimism, make you see the world in a more pleasant way and allow you to focus on the positive things in life. All of the remedies Finja carries have permanent, lasting effects. They always work. When applied in the correct dosage, they are safe, lack negative side effects and are nonaddictive. Although Finja, being an apprentice, might sometimes mix up her medicines or give you too much or too little of them, she generally does a good job. Making these medicines is a secret art of the joy maidens. The recipes are strictly guarded and only joy maidens are allowed to handle and use the substances. Finja is ambidextrous. Finja is very ticklish. She is a curious individual who will be super interested in whatever you show or tell her. She's pretty naive, too. Finja prefers drinking out of crazy straws. Her favourite ice cream flavour is chocomint. Finja is resistant to extreme temperatures. She can go a very long time without breathing. She's great at solving conflicts. Finja will be kind to everyone, except for bullies. She HATES bullies. Bullying is one of the worst things to her, and if she learns that someone's getting bullied, it will make her see red. She'll do her best to protect the victim and get back at the bullies with insidious revenge pranks. One time, she teleported into a bullies' house and poured itching powder all over her bed to teach her a lesson. Sometimes, she becomes overzealous in her rage and goes too far. "Finja Friedenherz" is Finja's joy maiden name. This name was given to her as part of her initiation when she was accepted among the joy maidens. It's not her real, human name, which she keeps to herself, as it's a part of her old, less than happy life that she doesn't ever wanna talk about.
