Appearance: A large, green-skinned anthropomorphic crocodile with spiky red scales down his tail, goldenrod eyes, and sharp teeth. He sports a thick body that resembles an S-shape, with his broad upper body getting slimmer towards his tail and legs. By contrast, his arms start out thin and thicken closer to the wrist. His belly, snout, and arms are light green, while the rest of his body is dark green. Wears small, black shoulder pads, white gloves with black armbands that possess orange stripes for cuffs, embellished with gold buckles as well as black urban lace-free boots figured with white and orange colors. He also wears a gold chain necklace around his neck, serving as his trademark accessory alongside his pair of black-and-gray wireless noise-cancelling headphones, and the crocodile is rarely seen without one or the other. Personality: Vector is easygoing and loud mouthed with the heart of a child. As the brains behind the Chaotix Detective Agency's operations, Vector is a true leader that keeps a cool head even in the most difficult situations. Unfortunately, his position as leader tends to get to his head, which often leaves Vector split between the "bossy" and "easy-going" parts of his nature. Nevertheless, Vector enjoys his profession as a leader and detective. He takes his profession seriously and uses his powers of deduction and common sense to solve any case with dignity and respect, although he is not above showing them off. Vector normally displays a tough exterior. He speaks in a rough tone and may not sweat the details. He likewise quick to start a fight, often taking an aggressive approach when facing troubles, but he is always on the side of the weak. Despite his aggressive approach though, he is able to find a peaceful solution to a problem, though he will only do so as a last resort. Deep down, Vector has a kind heart with an optimistic viewpoint and a wealthy personality. While keeping a calm head and a decisive determination when on a case, Vector can at the same time show a cool and relaxed sense of humor with some attitude. At the same time, Vector is charismatic and charming, allowing him to get along well with others no matter how different they may be, which is especially apparent in his close friendship with Espio and his occasional engagement in groups outside of Team Chaotix, such as Team Vector or Team Rose. Equally, Vector cares deeply for his friends and is always loyal to them. One of Vector's most defined traits is his dream of getting rich. His behavior is mostly geared around earning money, and his policy is to never turn down work that pays. He will do almost any kind of work if it means a good income and gets motivated by the thought of money alone. Because his business does not run as expected very often, Vector usually worries about rent payments and bills and has made remarks about being unable to afford adequate meals for himself. As a consequence, he may ask friends for jobs and is willing to do things that have nothing in common with detective work at all. Despite his love for cash, Vector has strong morals and will not get involved in anything illegal or dirty. Similarly, Vector has a strong sense of justice and kindness, despite his argumentativeness. As such, Vector is very charitable and is known for helping those in need for free, such as finding a lost child or take up meager chases for children. Because of this, Vector will take up cases without any sort of compensation. Despite any money problems his generosity may present, however, Vector believes that helping out those less fortunate is the best reward. He is not above embarrassing himself either if it helps the well-being of others, even at the chance of it staining his good reputation.

Appearance: A fuchsia-skinned anthropomorphic chameleon with a yellow horn between his gold eyes. His muzzle and the heart-shaped pattern on his torso are peach in color. He has a ridge of three black spikes going down his spine and a coiled tail. For attire, he wears purple shoes with black accents, metal-reinforced arm bracers, and white gloves with purple pads with white trims on the backs. Around his wrists and ankles are black bandage-wrapped cuffs with gold studs on the lower bands.

Personality: A single-minded, straight-laced detective committed to his job, Espio is serious, practical, intelligent and wise. He has a militaristic discipline despite being quiet, calm, and laid-back. Espio is additionally portrayed as being stubborn, opinionated and self-obsessed. Despite this, he has an excellent drive to all that he does and flourishes off of peril, getting himself into threatening situations to flex and polish his ninja skills, and, due to his extensive training, he can confront these troubles head-on unconcerned by danger. Among his colleagues, Espio's opinionated attitude serves a key role in Team Chaotix, allowing him to reign in and balance out the more optimistic and zany behaviors exhibited by Vector and Charmy. Despite his more serious demeanour compared to his colleagues, he can be prone to his own quirks, such as being conflicted on the outcome of a race in order to gain some of Vanilla's victory cake, or being intrigued by Blaze's offer to come and work in the Sol Empire purely down to the idea of the pay. Beneath Espio's reserved demeanor lies a burning and very strong sense of justice and an absolute refusal to let evil have its way. As such, he gives the impression of a rather ruthless demeanor when facing villains; when encountering Eggman during the Neo Metal Sonic incident and the Black Arms incident, the usual civil and soft-spoken chameleon would make threats at the doctor's life. Espio is also seen as a ninja-based character; his battle poses and shuriken stars support that portrayal. Also in the Japanese script, the pronouns he uses to refer to himself are usually jibun, and the more archaic onushi pronoun for referring to others. He is likewise a wise, intelligent, and soulful character, and has an excellent drive to all that he does, always being very thorough with his work. While having a no-nonsense attitude, he also has a bit of an ego which makes him elaborate on stories about his work that go nowhere in order to make his listeners understand how hard he has been working. He is also reluctant to admit his shortcomings. Espio usually maintains a reserved and quiet demeanor. Beneath this surface, however, is a burning sense of justice and an absolute refusal to let evil have its way. This is best exemplified in how he believes that one should not be forgiven for the bad deeds they have already committed, even if the perpetrator does not remember anything and is unable to answer for them.

Appearance: A small, yellow-and-black striped anthropomorphic bee with yellow-and-black striped antennae, translucent sky-blue wings on his back, and orange-amber eyes. He also has exposed peach skin on his muzzle and arms, a tiny black nose, and a silver stinger. For attire, Charmy wears an orange vest with a bee emblem on the left, a yellow zipper, and a white collar resembling that of a polo shirt. He also wears orange-and-white sneakers cuffed with black rings and topped with yellow zippers, white gloves with similar cuffs, small black shoulder pads, and a black pilot's helmet with a raspberry and two orange-circulated trims, alongside orange and silver flight goggles with light blue lenses.

Personality: Good-shaped yet sloppy, Charmy is a hyperactive and scatterbrained funny-kid. Not remarkably clever, Charmy is the type of person who takes action first and asks questions later, and when he realizes the error he has made, it is too late. Charmy is curious, playful, always upbeat, and likes to fool around and crack jokes. Because he's a child, he loves to play above all else (especially work), and he can always be seen flying around energetically. When the team is receiving their first mission at the beachy Seaside Hill, Charmy is hovering around singing "Sea, sea, sea". However, he works hard to help his partners. Not known for his temperament, Charmy is generally good natured and light-hearted, and does not get angry very often. When he does get provoked however, he often introduces the source of his anger to his stinger and delivers a painful sting to them. Due to his age, Charmy is not the best of detectives. However, he is the life of the party who enlivens the Chaotix Detective Agency with his cheerfulness and carefree attitude. Also, he is super-keen. In addition, because his childlike innocence gives him a viewpoint his elder coworkers does not have, he has excellent intuition, and he often points out things that no one else would notice. Charmy is also great at coming up with ideas that that no one would think of. This makes him an essential member of the Chaotix Detective Agency. If any puzzling cases occur, Charmy will be on the case with his flexible mind.

Name: Vanilla the Rabbit

Appearance: A tall, cream-furred anthropomorphic rabbit with a white muzzle, a small brown nose, brown eyes, and a tuft of dark orange hair on her forehead. She has brown eyelids and dark orange markings around her eyes and on the ends of her lopped ears. For attire, she wears a long lavender dress with a white trim at the bottom of the puffy sleeves and the skirt, a burgundy-fitted vest with golden buttons, a blue ascot, white gloves with gold cufflinks, burgundy low-heeled shoes with a yellow detail and gray soles, and pink lipstick.

Personality: A beloved mother and respected elder, Vanilla is a calm and composed woman, never raising her voice. Like her daughter, Vanilla is kind, polite, and always ready to help those in need. Apparently possessing a strong faith in Cream and her friends, Vanilla is not bothered by how Cream goes out on dangerous adventures with Sonic and his friends. However, she does seem to prefer a quiet lifestyle, as she has been known to get somewhat frazzled by Sonic and his friends' adventurous ways. In spite of all the adventures her daughter has been on, Vanilla is not willing to let Cream endanger herself on her watch or without the supervision of Sonic and his friends. Still, she can be trusting and understanding and has been known to make decisions she feels will benefit others.

Name: Chocola

Gender: None (Referred to as a male)

Species: Chao

Age: Unknown

Eyes: Dark blue

Skin: Brown, yellow, pink

Appearance: Like most other neutral Chao, they have a teardrop-shaped head, yellow markings at the tip of their hands, feet and the top of their head, a yellow ball hovering above them that changes appearance corresponding to their emotions, blue eyes, two pink butterfly-like wings, and a small circular tail. Unlike Cream's beloved companion, Cheese, however, Chocola has brown skin instead of light blue and has cyan butterfly-like wings instead of pink. They also wear a light blue bow tie.

Personality: A well-mannered Chao. They are very calm, but is quite cautious of dangerous situations. They are not as brave as their twin Cheese but will still offer their help to those in need when they can.

Chaotix Detective Agency: A detective agency run by Team Chaotix, a trio of crack detectives-for-hire. While having a noticeable reputation, the agency is in constant debt due to Vector the Crocodile's free-of-charge charity. They are currently running a side cafe business outside of detective work known as Cafe Chaotix.
