Following the Taken War, Fikrul would go on to lead a group of lowly Dregs cast out of the House of Exile, who collectively called themselves the Scorned Barons. Together, they unleashed chaos amongst the Reefborn Awakened and various Fallen Houses on the Reef, eventually leading to the demise of the House of Wolves through the destruction of all of their Servitors. They would later be captured after a final showdown with Petra Venj, Cayde-6, and their Six. At the start of the fight, Fikrul would be shot three times in the chest by the Golden Gun and was left for dead.At some point after the Taken War, Prince Uldren allied himself with the House of Kings and in his search for Mara Sov discovered a mortally wounded Fikrul. Uldren wished that he could save the dying Fallen; his wish was heard by Riven, the Taken Ahamkara who granted Uldren's wish by infusing some of Uldren's Darkness into Fikrul's Aether, creating Dark Aether and raising him as the first Scorned. From then on, Fikrul treated Uldren with devotion and reverence, calling him "Father" and believing that Uldren had granted him his new life and powers.In gratitude, Fikrul would help Uldren bring down the House of Kings. One year after the Red War, both Uldren and Fikrul were captured by Cayde-6 and taken to the Prison of Elders. Eventually, thanks in part to Riven's manipulation, Uldren and Fikrul took advantage of Variks' waning loyalty and tricked him into releasing all of the prison's inmates. This would allow Fikrul, Uldren, the other Barons, and the Scorn to escape, and have Cayde-6 killed while attempting to stop them. With the Scorned Barons now freed, Uldren offered Fikrul and the other Barons the bounty of the Tangled Shore as a reward for their loyalty, bringing chaos to the local Fallen under the command of The Spider. As a result, their hideout was alerted to a Guardian seeking revenge, causing the Barons to flee while Fikrul stood up to the Guardians, ending in defeat and having to flee.Fikrul and the remaining Scorned accompanied Uldren on his travels to open the Dreaming City, warning him of the immediate danger that lay beyond the entry point. Fikrul offered to go to the Watchtower in Uldren's place but was told to defend it from the Guardian. Accepting his orders, Fikrul challenges the Guardian himself to avenge his fellow Scorned only to die at their hands instead, avenging Cayde-6 from the Barons who killed him.However, unlike the other Scorns who died to the Guardian, Fikrul is able to resurrect himself thanks to the Dark Aether within him. Recognizing that his resurrection abilities were akin to that of a Guardian, the Vanguard assigned several Strike Teams to continuously finish him off in order to suppress the Zealot and put an end to his plans to resurrect the other Barons, and reclaim Uldren Sov's remains from the Dreaming City. Fikrul had been driven from the Tangled Shore, though his exact whereabouts were unknown. In his absence, most of the Scorn raised in the system would fall under the Witness's control, where they would be used as mindless vessels and cannon fodder to further his goals. In contrast, Fikrul would remain independent of the Witness and seek to unite the Scorn under his rule again.Prior to the Hunt for Riven's Clutch, aboard a commandeered Ketch, Fikrul would address a crew of Scorn loyal to him about rumors he had heard of Earth-bred Scorn near an ancient ruined castle in the European Dead Zone. The Scorn roaming this castle were soon revealed to be former Eliksni members of the House of Kings who were resurrected through a wish granted by a Dead Ahamkara. Fikrul would task five of his knights led by Rathil with infiltrating the castle and recruiting the Scorn there to join his cause before the Guardians could kill them or the Witness could claim them. Unfortunately for Fikrul, the Ahamkara within the ruins took advantage of this and used their influence to bend all of Fikrul's forces to their will, pairing them with the Taken who were also under their control.Furthermore, Petra Venj and Uldren Sov, now reborn as the Raven Hunter, became aware of this movement and called upon the Guardian to investigate. Fikrul's secret operation would ultimately fail with the Guardian and his fireteam clearing the Scorn from the ruins, killing all of Fikrul's Knights, slaying the Avatar of Ahamkara, and securing his remains. Until then, Fikrul would remain in hiding, out of sight of the Vanguard, taking no part in the Coalition's final battle with the Witness as the Guardian successfully managed to enter the Traveler's Pale Heart.After much sacrifice and tremendous fighting, the united efforts of the Coalition succeeded in destroying the Witness for good, thwarting the Final Form.Though the people rejoiced at the fall of their great enemy, there was still much work to be done with Crow, now fully resurrected as the new Vanguard Hunter, making it his mission to track down Fikrul's whereabouts, with Spider and Variks aiding him in this endeavor.}
