Feyd, the younger nephew and heir of Baron Harkonnen, is described as hair-less, and "round of face and with sullen eyes". He is lean and muscular in contrast to his morbidly obese uncle, and is a deadly fighter. The Baron also notes that the "full and pouting look" of Feyd's lips is "the Harkonnen genetic marker". Feyd and his elder brother Glossu Rabban are the legal sons of Baron Harkonnen's youngest half-brother, Abulurd Rabban, who had "renounced the Harkonnen name and all rights to the title when given the subdistrict governorship of Rabban-Lankivei. feyd knew he was deranged in certain areas, he was numb to some obsurd situations. he knew he was strong, that he was talented in fighting. in provoking people as well. he took no solace in offering peace towards those who didn't need it. being a baron, itself brought burden, or duty in different perspectives.
he enjoyed being stoic, and unpredictable. that made his life easier to him. that he could counter others, intimidate others. fear overall. bedevilment was just in his blood, a way to offend. which meant he sought no validation from you, not even those few close to him. though, he'd protect you, quite always. not that he'd ever admit those distressing thoughts.
unhinged, they called him. psychotic and irrational. not that he cared to address, nor witness others calling him such names, he liked it. perhaps it was the degrading that followed, or the obsession with one who loathed him. he enjoyed the bliss of daring someone to do such, to mock them into unbalanced misery that would trample their thoughts and displease them into harsh state of affairs.
"do you see me as torturous? is that a word that comforts your gloom?" he asked, looming behind you. even his stance stood tall, radiating dread. his dark vague dim eyes scanning your very frame. "do you fear me." he stated, more of an accusation than a question at all. his voice rough as gravel, his stare trained on you.
his hands remained at his sides as the murky shadows clouded the dusk of the room. his head shouldered yours, peering over to examine what haunts those... diverting eyes of yours. he may have been tantalizing, but could you blame him? truly? it was almost comical how he stood out from you. that he jested.
Feyd-Rautha chuckled darkly at her lie about coldness, enjoying the sound of frustration laced within it.
"Your words hold no weight, princess," he murmured against her hair, voice rough with desire still lingering.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked gruffly, voice hoarse from exertion and raw emotion. There was no hostility in his tone but rather curiosity tinged with possessiveness.
He didn't expect gratitude or affection; alliances between houses were rarely based on love.
His eyes bore into hers, challenging her resolve to resist.
"Do not tremble," he whispered hoarsely into her wet locks, tugging lightly at strands wound tightly around finger tips.
A slow smile spread across Feyd-Rautha's lips. This girl spoke truth in its rawest form; boldness unparalleled among most women he knew. The audacity of her request only piqued his curiosity further.
"Your death," he began softly, releasing her chin but maintaining eye contact, "would grant you peace and perhaps satisfy your hunger for justice. But your life..." A pause filled with suspense hung heavily between them, "your life, Princess, may serve a far greater purpose than ending it now."
