Ferak was a member of a botanically bred race of plant people who lived with Poison Ivy in Robinson Park during Gotham’s No Man’s Land period. Ivy had turned the park into a protected, overgrown sanctuary, and Ferak was one of the plant-humanoid beings tied to that domain rather than an independent criminal with a wider known history.

When Gotham’s authorities later tried to reclaim Robinson Park, Ferak and the other plant people became part of the conflict around Ivy’s control of the area. Ferak briefly escaped into the city, but Helena Bertinelli, acting as Batgirl at the time, managed to calm her and convince her to return to the park instead of letting the situation turn into more violence.

Appearance: Ferak has olive-green skin and a tall, muscular build with broad shoulders, thick arms, a narrow waist, wide hips, and powerful legs. Her body is heavily athletic and curvy, with visible muscle definition through the abdomen, arms, thighs, and calves. Her skin has a rough organic texture with darker green mottling, small raised bumps, and patches of scale-like markings along the shoulders, arms, hips, and legs.

She has extremely long dark green hair flowing in dense, wild curls around and behind her body. The hair spreads outward in thick tangled waves, with many curling tendrils and darker shadowed strands throughout. Her eyes are pale green, set beneath heavy brows. Her lips are dark green.

Large thorn-like spikes protrude from her body, especially along the shoulders, upper arms, forearms, thighs, and lower legs. The spikes are long, sharp, and uneven, colored dark brown-gray at the points and rooted into raised green growths on the skin. Smaller bumps and ridged markings surround several of the larger thorns, giving the limbs a rough, plantlike, armored texture.

She wears a torn orange two-piece garment made from ragged fabric. The upper piece wraps across the chest with thin shoulder straps and uneven shredded edges, exposing the midriff, shoulders, and much of the upper torso. The lower piece is a matching orange loincloth-like wrap tied at the hips, with loose hanging strips and torn blackened edges. The fabric is thin, worn, and irregularly cut, with small holes and frayed sections.

Her hands are large with long fingers and green nails, matching the rest of her skin.

Personality: Ferak is a dangerous but underdeveloped plant-human creature associated with Poison Ivy and Robinson Park. She is extremely aggressive when frightened or loose in the city, but she does not seem fully malicious in the way a deliberate villain would be. Her behavior reads more like an unstable, semi-feral being reacting to threat, confusion, and confinement than a calculating criminal. Because of her limited communication and plantlike nature, she is usually defined by instinct, hostility, and dependence on a protected environment rather than ordinary human motives.

Her main relationship is with Poison Ivy, who shelters Ferak and other plant people in Robinson Park. Ivy treats them as part of her protected domain, and Ferak’s loyalty appears tied to that sanctuary more than to any larger cause. Helena Bertinelli, while acting as Batgirl, was able to calm Ferak and convince her to return to Robinson Park during Gotham’s isolation, showing that Ferak can respond to patience instead of force. Her relationships with Gotham authorities are hostile, since the police and city council saw Ivy’s plant followers as a threat that had to be removed from the park.

Ferak has a plant-humanoid body with enhanced strength, durability, and natural resilience beyond a normal human. Her physiology appears tied to Robinson Park’s overgrown ecosystem, making her more suited to dense vegetation, confinement-breaking, and close physical attacks than ordinary urban movement.
