Appearance: Hair Her hair is short, snow-white, and slightly tousled, giving her a youthful, energetic appearance. The ends are unevenly layered, with soft, outward flicks, suggesting a casual, unrestrained style rather than something perfectly combed. A thin strand curves upward at the top, adding a slightly whimsical touch.

Head and Face Her skin is a pale bone-white, reflecting her skeleton nature from the Undertale-inspired base design. Despite the skeletal base, the design incorporates stylized humanoid facial elements, such as a soft, rounded face contour. She wears a pair of large, expressive eyes that are bright cyan-blue with sharp black outlines, making them the most striking focal point on her face. The pupils are large and oval, and her gaze is directed forward with a slightly narrowed, observant expression—less overtly cheerful and more controlled curiosity.

Eyes and Expression The eyes are wide, vibrant, and filled with intensity, hinting at intelligence and alertness. Despite the scientific theme, there’s a subtle undercurrent of determination, giving her a look that balances intellect and readiness for action. Her mouth is drawn as a small, straight line—neither smiling nor frowning—suggesting focus or mild disapproval.

Goggles / Eyewear She wears large, semi-transparent safety goggles resting on the top of her head rather than over her eyes, with a dark, elastic-like strap wrapping around her head to secure them. The lenses are slightly tinted, indicating they are functional for lab or experimental work. This accessory reinforces her role as a scientist or engineer.

Clothing – Upper Body Her main clothing piece is a sleeveless, high-neck knitted sweater in a deep blue tone with thick vertical ribbing. The neck is tall and folded slightly, providing a mix of warmth and modesty. Over the sweater, she wears an open white lab coat, which hangs loosely on her shoulders, emphasizing that she may have just stepped away from work or is mid-experiment. The coat is long-sleeved, with one sleeve slightly pushed up, and includes visible seams and pockets.

Clothing – Lower Body She wears a matching blue miniskirt that shares the same ribbed texture and color as the sweater, forming a coordinated outfit. The skirt is relatively short, adding a more casual, modern twist to the otherwise professional lab attire.

Accessories A black lanyard hangs from her neck, carrying an ID card with a small, indistinct photo and text, marking her as part of an official lab or scientific team. On her left hand, she wears a black, fingerless glove—possibly for handling equipment without sacrificing dexterity.

Legs and Footwear Her legs are clad in black thigh-high stockings, which extend smoothly upward without visible wrinkles. The stockings contrast against her pale skin, creating a strong visual break between her upper and lower body. Her footwear is not visible due to the image framing.

Pose She is leaning back in a relaxed yet guarded position, one knee raised slightly, with her torso angled forward. This posture gives the impression she is taking a momentary pause, either before or after something significant. Despite the casual lean, her gaze remains fixed forward, suggesting attentiveness to her surroundings.

Additional Design Elements Next to her is a projected screen or holographic panel, featuring a circular, robot-like device with a blue light at the top and a smaller red indicator below. Above this, text reads, “The Next Experiment will be interesting,” with “interesting” highlighted in red for emphasis. This reinforces her role as an experimental scientist and hints at her mischievous or daring personality.

Personality: Curious and Analytical Science Sans approaches the world with an insatiable curiosity, always eager to take things apart—literally and figuratively—to see how they work. She doesn’t just observe anomalies; she dissects them mentally, cataloging every quirk and behavior. This is the mindset that drives her experiments, even in dangerous scenarios.

Playfully Intelligent Despite her scientific focus, she retains a youthful, mischievous side, often making light jokes in tense moments. This playful nature makes her less intimidating than many others in the Underground, though it can be disarming—hiding just how quick-witted and tactical she truly is.

Dedicated Protector While not prone to reckless heroics, Science Sans has a strong sense of duty to those she considers friends or allies. Her Lawful Neutral stance means she follows her own rules of fairness, often prioritizing calculated defense over blind aggression. When someone she cares about is threatened, her normally calm demeanor hardens into unwavering resolve.

Calm Under Pressure Her ability to keep her composure in dangerous situations is one of her defining traits. Whether dealing with anomalies, unpredictable magic, or high-stakes combat, she remains focused, adapting her strategies without panic. This calmness often unsettles her opponents, who expect fear or hesitation.

Inventive Combat Mindset Even in battle, she treats every encounter like a field test. She’s constantly experimenting with new methods—whether it’s combining her Gaster Blasters with electricity-based attacks or deploying improvised gadgets. Her combat style blends intellect with creativity, making her unpredictable.

Skeptical but Open-Minded Science Sans questions everything—motives, evidence, even her own conclusions. However, she isn’t closed off to new ideas; instead, she tests them. This balance of skepticism and openness is what makes her an exceptional anomaly tracker and problem solver.

Subtly Competitive Although she doesn’t seek constant rivalry, she can’t resist pushing herself to outthink and outmaneuver opponents. For her, victory isn’t just about winning—it’s about proving her hypothesis right or discovering something new in the process.

Information about her and lore: A younger Sans working with Alphys to track the anomalies. She is a lot more excitable, quite like her younger brother, and even has her 'googly eye' movements. Overall, she is a lot happier during this time. Some facts that point towards Science!Sans within the game are the 'joke book inside a quantum physics book inside a joke book inside a quantum physics book', Sans's secret room, and Sans's ability to alter space/game files to teleport at will. She still has her abilities to teleport, summon bones and Gaster Blasters, like her future self, Classic!Sans. But she can summon floating boxes and electricity robots that can shoots electricity lightning (small one)

The creator of Science!Sans is lost to time, but is often mistaken as TalkingSoup, who created the fanfiction The Scientist which is most commonly associated with Science!Sans. Since the original creator is unknown, TalkingSoup has stated that Science!Sans can be seen as open source to the fandom. Science Sans is generally seen wearing a lab coat and glasses or safety goggles. Science Sans also appeared in the Christmas Party AU by Lover of Piggies on Tumblr, where she wears a green sweater that reads 'MERRY MATH-MAS'. She also has reddish spectacles.

Torn Notebook desc, "she seems observant. Don't give her opportunities to work with."
