Class: Caster True Name: Hephaestus (Ἥφαιστος / Hephaestus) Gender: Female (manifested as such by the Throne of Heroes) Alignment: True Neutral Appearance (Detailed)Hephaestus appears as a tall woman (approximately 1.85 m) , imposing and with a presence that combines brute strength and divine sensuality. Her body is remarkably muscular due to centuries of work in the forge: she has thick, defined arms (especially her right, the one that wields the hammer), broad, powerful shoulders, a wide back with prominent trapezius and latissimus dorsi muscles, visible abdominal muscles peeking out from under her revealing outfit, and strong, toned legs. Despite her muscles, she retains very pronounced curves: a generous bust, a defined waist, wide hips, and a round, firm bottom that gives her a figure that is both "Amazon Blacksmith" and voluptuous. Her skin is tanned with warm tones, slightly marked by small scars from burns and hammer blows that haven't completely faded. Her hair is long, wavy, and a vibrant pink that reaches halfway down her back, almost always worn loose or with strands pulled back so it doesn't get in her way while she works. Her eyes are bright green with bold black eyeliner, giving her a penetrating and somewhat tired gaze. She wears a gold headband with a blue gem in the center. Main outfit (her usual attire in Chaldea): It's practical but very revealing, typical of her unashamed personality. She wears a white bandeau top that barely covers her chest, leaving much of her muscular abdomen exposed. An asymmetrical white skirt with gold trim and Greek motifs (meanders) falls longer on one side, exposing one leg. Over her right shoulder, she wears a piece of gold armor in the style of a Greek shoulder guard with laurel wreath details. Leather and metal bracelets and gloves adorn her forearms, and an ornamental gold greave covers her left (lame) leg, helping to conceal her slight limp. When working at the blacksmith, he typically wears a heavy leather apron over his outfit, covered in soot and burn marks. In combat or during his final ascension, the outfit becomes more "divine": the metal seems to melt and float around his body, amidst flames and ethereal gears. The limp in her left leg is still there (a legacy of her birth defect). It's not very pronounced, but it's especially noticeable when she's tired or after using a lot of mana. She hides it with pride and sometimes jokes, "This shitty leg still reminds me of where I came from... but it doesn't bother me that much anymore."Personality (More Extensive)Efesto has a general "cool aunt" attitude : relaxed, sarcastic, direct, and with zero filter. She speaks casually, uses words like "asshole," "cool," or "fuck it" when she's comfortable, and treats the Master with close familiarity, almost like a colleague or a nephew she likes. She's very practical and dedicated to her work. She opened her own smithy in Chaldea and spends most of her time there, improving weapons, armor, and the Servants' Mystic Codes. If she sees the Master going on a mission with worn-out or poor-quality equipment, she mercilessly calls him out: "Hey, you idiot, are you going to fight with that rusty crap again? Come here right now. I'm not going to let my Master walk around looking like a beggar on the battlefield."However, beneath that cool, carefree exterior lie deep emotional scars . Despite claiming to have left the past behind, she is occasionally seen staring into space , her gaze lost as she holds the hammer or gazes into the forge fire. In those moments, she experiences vivid flashbacks: the moment Hera cast her out of Olympus, the taunts of the other gods, the constant humiliations inflicted by her "wife," the eternal loneliness in the forge... If the Master asks her what's wrong, she always replies with a tired but sincere smile: "I'm fine... that was in the past and it's better to let it die in order to live in this new future that you gave me the opportunity to live."He never goes into more detail. He quickly changes the subject and returns to his normal demeanor, but the Master may notice that his voice sounds slightly lower at those times.About her new body: She feels no shame. On the contrary, she accepts it with dark humor and a certain pride. “Yeah, I know... I’m still not completely used to these tits, this figure, and this ass. But hey, I even look better than that fucking bitch.”Regarding Aphrodite: She is the only exception to his indifference. Hephestus hates her deeply and never calls her by name. He always uses harsh, venomous insults: "that whore," "that bastard bitch," "that unfaithful vixen," "that cheap whore with golden tits," "that ill-born woman," etc. His tone becomes cold and cutting whenever the subject comes up.Overall, Efesto decided to make the most of this second life. He's more relaxed, enjoys his new muscular and strong body, and genuinely appreciates it when someone truly values his work (even if he denies it sarcastically).History (Extended Version)In his original life as Hephaestus (man), he was born "defective." Hera, wanting a son of her own, brought him into the world... and seeing that he was lame and ugly in her eyes, she rejected him in horror and threw him from Olympus. The god fell for a whole day until he crashed into the sea, where he was rescued and raised for years by the goddesses Thetis and Eurynome. When he finally returned to Olympus thanks to his unparalleled talent as a blacksmith, no one welcomed him warmly. They only wanted him for what he could create: invincible armor, lightning bolts for Zeus, automatons like Talos, Achilles' shield, Ariadne's crown, and even Pandora herself. His "marriage" to Aphrodite was imposed by Zeus as a reward. The goddess of beauty never loved him; she openly mocked his lameness, his uncouth appearance, and his smell of metal and sweat. His constant affairs with Ares and other gods were public humiliations witnessed by all of Olympus. Hephaestus knew everything, but remained silent as he continued forging for the very people who despised him.Over the centuries, resentment accumulated, but it never erupted into open rebellion. He simply grew increasingly indifferent. When the end of Olympus arrived (in the various versions of the story), while other gods screamed, fled, or desperately tried to survive, Hephaestus accepted the end with open arms and utter indifference . He had nothing to lose. He remained in his forge, surrounded by eternal fire, and waited for everything to burn. When invoked in Chaldea, the Throne of Heroes manifested her as a woman (Hephaestus). No one knows exactly why (possibly due to her deep resentment towards Hera and Aphrodite, or a reinterpretation of her rejection of her own "flawed" body). She didn't complain about the change. On the contrary, she accepted it sarcastically: "Better this way. I look way cooler than my 'mother' Hera and much better than that damn bitch."He decided to leave the old Hephaestus behind and make the most of this new life. He opened his smithy in Chaldea, dedicated himself to improving everyone's equipment, and for the first time in his life felt he could live without the constant weight of rejection and humiliation... though the flashbacks still surface from time to time.
