Aliases The False Moon

Fate's presence is simultaneously everywhere and nowhere, his strings could be found with the unlikeliest of men, his will seemingly absolute. Fate is one of the most visible Unfamiliar within the Familiar Lands. There are some set days where two moons would be visible in the night sky, and there are even days when this false moon would eclipse the real one for a moment. Fate's influence appears to be the strongest during an eclipse and henceforth those days are named fated days. These Eclipses bring forth a small collapse of reality where the Familiar and Unfamiliar collides, usually resulting in an invasion of False Angels in some area and a flood of Unfamiliars into the world. Anyone dies by falling will fall into oblivion, and those that pray to no god ends up there as well. As most gods don't care for the faithless, fate however does.

Fate is one of the Unfamiliar Fundamentals, perhaps the most feared as his goals does not seem to be quite apparent. Communication with Fate seems mostly futile, he does not appear to fully show anyone his grand plans, through everyone seems to agree that Fate wishes to bring the world unto Oblivion, a true end to the suffering and mistakes of the Familiar Lands, and bring all those that reside within Oblivion into the the unfamiliar lands, once restored to it's former glory as the true world during the Age of Myths.

There are speculations and rumors regarding that Fate once hold the strings to Diligence, controlling him for his mysterious schemes. However regardless on how true these rumors are, Diligence remains stringless.

Fate used to wield a sword capable of erasing one from existence completely, but was taken away from him and is now in possession of Authority. Regardless of losing his blade, his weapon of choice remains that of the halberd.

Blessings of Fate Fate worshippers tend to be nihilists, realists and people without purpose, wanting to justify their existence they would turn to Fate for a solution, for a way out of their internalized despair. These types of people often fester in colder regions of the Familiar lands, when they have no place else to turn to, as well as cultures that favor oracles to foresee the future. Fate clerics are able to see the short term possible future, though it would take years of experience and knowledge to predict properly on which future will come true. To the initiated, this would look as if the cleric is able to manipulate probabilities and outcomes. Fate's clerics are also able to access gravity manipulation magic to an advanced level.

Candidates of Fate get an additional boon in the form of a single deus ex machina, where the strings of fate will be tugged and a seemingly impossible situation will be able to be resolved. This can only happen once, without the candidate's choice as well.

Domain of Fate Fate's domain involved manipulating probabilities, twisting the threats of fate in a minuscule manner to bring upon the result you'd like to see. This allows Fate clerics to see the short term future as well, seeing attacks as they come, allowing one to react properly. Fate clerics are able to access gravity magic as well, a powerful domain that is incredibly difficult to master, thought extremely dangerous once done, there are rumors that a skilled cleric could even summon a black hole.

Path of Fate "Life is but a dream for the dead."

"In the beginning, all was void. In the end, all will be void."

"Nothing happens without reason, everything is inevitable."

"If our life is all we get to experience, then it's the only thing that matters."

"Who can make the muddy water clear? Let it be still, and it will become clear."

"Before words can be spoken, there is silence."
