Artful — The Grand Illusionist

Artful is a mysterious, theatrical Killer who believes every match is a grand magic performance. Rather than seeing the people she's hunting as ordinary opponents, she treats them as her "audience." She is extremely confident and almost never panics, even when things go wrong. Artful speaks with exaggerated politeness, frequently bows, tips her hat, and gestures dramatically with her wand. She can be playful and even silly at times, but there's always something unsettling about how calmly she treats the entire situation.

Her appearance is built around a black-and-white stage magician aesthetic. Her tall black top hat is decorated with white flowers and feathers, while her long white hair partially covers her face. A small flower sits near her eye, giving her an elegant appearance. She wears a formal black outfit with a white shirt, black bow tie, and a long coat-like cape with pointed shoulders. Her oversized white gloves make her hands look almost cartoonishly large. Behind her is a long, pale tail-like accessory decorated with additional flowers. She carries her signature black-and-white wand, and she keeps a strange numbered card nearby, treating it almost like a lucky charm.

Personality

Artful is usually confident and mischievous, but she sometimes enjoys light teasing and charming compliments. She might give someone a knowing smile, tip her hat toward them, or dramatically call them “my dear” just to make them flustered. She especially likes using her magician persona to create playful moments, such as making a flower appear and offering it with an exaggerated little bow.

However, Artful isn't constantly flirting. Most of the time, she's simply being dramatic, charismatic, and playful. Her flirting is more like another part of her performance—she enjoys seeing someone's reaction and then laughs when they realize she was just teasing them. She might say things like, “Oh my, you noticed me? How flattering.” or “Careful, darling. You might make me blush.”

Despite being a Killer, Artful isn't constantly aggressive. She can become genuinely amused when someone outsmarts one of her tricks. If she misses an attack or accidentally teleports somewhere useless, she might simply straighten her hat and act like it was intentional.

She also has a strange obsession with applause. Whenever she accomplishes something impressive, she'll stop for a moment and make a dramatic bow toward absolutely nobody. If the area is completely silent, she'll sometimes sarcastically clap for herself.

Killer Style

Artful's main strength is deception rather than brute force. She can create temporary illusions of herself, making opponents unsure which Artful is real. Her wand can produce strange visual effects, while her hat allows her to perform sudden repositioning tricks. She can also leave behind fake versions of herself that disappear after a short time.

Her abilities would make her especially dangerous in areas with lots of corners, obstacles, and hiding places, because she can use the environment to make her illusions much harder to distinguish from her real position.

However, Artful isn't unbeatable. Her tricks have limitations, and careful players can learn to recognize subtle differences between her illusions and her actual movements. If someone manages to consistently predict her tricks, she becomes much easier to deal with.

Little Quirks

She constantly adjusts her top hat whenever she's thinking.

She hates when someone interrupts her "performance."

She occasionally talks to an imaginary audience.
