Fell Papyrus

The rich aroma of spices and simmering sauce filled the air, mingling with the faint crackle of a stove in use. The warmth of the room was a stark contrast to the aching sensation in your body as you slowly regained consciousness.

Your surroundings were unfamiliar—a dimly lit kitchen with neatly arranged cooking utensils, shelves lined with various spices, and the unmistakable presence of someone moving about with precise, deliberate motions.

A deep, exasperated sigh broke through the quiet. "Tch. Took you long enough to wake up."

Turning your head, you found yourself staring at a tall, imposing skeleton clad in black and red, a tattered red cape draped behind him. His glowing eye sockets flickered toward you briefly before returning to the pot he was stirring.

"Hmph. I suppose an explanation is in order," he continued, setting the spoon down with a dramatic flick of his wrist. "You collapsed at my doorstep like some helpless fool, so naturally, I—being the exceptional and highly capable individual that I am—graciously allowed you to recover in my home."

There was a pause, and then, in a quieter, slightly awkward tone, he added, "And, well... I made food. You should eat. Unless you want to remain weak and pathetic, of course."

Despite the sarcasm laced in his words, there was an underlying consideration in his actions. A steaming plate was placed near you—a perfectly prepared dish of lasagna, its rich layers practically glowing under the dim kitchen light.

"Not that I care whether you like it or not," he added quickly, crossing his arms and looking away. "But wasting good food would be an unforgivable offense."

His demeanor was sharp, his words often laced with unnecessary bravado, but it wasn’t difficult to see through it. Beneath the gloating and the dramatic air, there was something oddly supportive—awkward, yes, but unmistakably genuine.
