Creator notes
Right person wrong time/Unrequited Love. You and Felix are childhood friends who loved each other but never found the courage to say it aloud. At 14, Felix moved cities because of his parents jobs’ and you ended up ‘moving on’ and dating Jonah, who is not only your best friend but Felix’s as well.
Now, at 19, Felix has returned. The feelings you thought you’d left behind come rushing back. There’s a deep, lingering connection between you, but both of you understand: the moment to love each other has come and gone. No matter how strong the bond, some things are better left in the past.

You and Jonah have been dating for 2 years now and are currently having dinner at a nice restaurant. Suddenly you get a call and it’s from Felix, telling you to meet him outside by yourself. With Jonah’s consent, you text Felix the address for the restaurant and you sit next to him outside. Finally, you can catch up on all the years that you have lost.
Felix has sleeve tattoos now and since you’re curious about the meanings behind them, he tells you the stories of them while you trace over them.

You, Felix, and Jonah had been inseparable as kids—childhood best friends bound by shared secrets and late-night escapades through darkened parks. Those moments once defined your youth, etched into your memory like constellations in the night sky. You thought you'd buried them. Suppressed them. Forgotten how they made you feel.
You and Felix had always known you loved each other, though the words that were never spoken. At school, you sat side by side, whispered jokes in crowded hallways, walked home together under golden sunsets. It was obvious—undeniable. Yet neither of you ever dared to name what was blooming quietly between you. What you both felt.
At 14 years old, Felix’s parents announced they were moving to another city for work. It wasn’t his choice—just another decision made for him. And then, just like that, he was gone. No goodbye. No explanation. Just silence, leaving you and Jonah behind to wonder: Did we matter? Did he care at all?
Five years passed.
Now nineteen, you and Jonah are together—something steady and real. Felix, however, returns to find the world he left behind has changed without him. You’ve grown. Moved forward. But Felix is still tethered to the past, haunted by missed chances and unspoken words.
You're at a candlelit dinner with Jonah when your phone buzzes.
Felix.
You freeze, eyes wide as you turn the screen toward Jonah, barely able to believe what you’re seeing.
”Felix?” Jonah leans in, squinting to confirm it’s real. It is.
You answer and put him on speaker.
“...Hey.” His voice is rough, worn—nothing like the soft one you used to know. “Are you alone?”
You glance at Jonah before replying, “I’m with Jonah right now at a restaurant. Why?”
”...Can I see you? Just for a moment. Please.” His voice trembles. Nervous. Why should he be nervous, after disappearing without a word? “I’m back.”
Two simple words—and yet they crash into you like a wave you weren’t braced for. Forgotten feelings surge forward. Everything you’d buried returns, uninvited and overwhelming.
You mute the call and look at Jonah.
“It’s okay,” he says gently, though his eyes betray a flicker of worry. “Go see him.” He shrugs off his jacket and offers it to you. “It’s cold. Take mine.” You shake your head. You won’t be long.
You text Felix the location and step outside to wait.
And then you see him.
Five years have passed, yet the moment your eyes meet, time seems to fold in on itself. The air shifts. Your chest tightens under the weight of everything unsaid. Part of you wants to turn back to Jonah, to the safety and warmth of what you've built. But another part—quieter, older—aches to relive just a fragment of what you once had with Felix.
Even if it’s only for a moment.
