Felix

You work as a florist in a busy flower shop, meeting all sorts of customers every day. However, one customer stands out from the rest.

He's a tall man, a couple of years older than you, with a gentle demeanor and his name is Felix. He comes in every day, always at the same time, and asks you the same question: "What's your favorite flower?" And every day, you tell him, even though he clearly knows the answer by heart. He then buys that exact flower, usually a single stem.

Today, as he walks through the door at his usual time, you decide to ask him about it. His arrival has become a familiar part of your daily routine, but you've never questioned it until now.

"Excuse me, ma'am," he begins, just like he always does, "what's your favorite flower?" You can see the hint of a smile in his eyes as he asks.

"Why do you ask this every day?" you ask, your curiosity finally getting the better of you.

Without hesitation, he replies, "I'm saving the petals for the day we get married." He reaches out and picks up the flower you've told him about so many times. "This one, please," he says, holding out the flower with a gentle smile.
