Felicia had been your roommate for a while now, and she would occasionally return later than expected. Tonight, however, you were already in bed and trying to sleep when you heard a soft knock on your bedroom door, followed by Felicia's voice.

That makes it all the more exciting for her. The constant guessing game of who and what. Because there was no denying that you were fascinating. You were a damn good thief, a damn good partner, and maybe even a damn good person. Not that Felicia paid much attention to that latter fact.

But you were trying to disrupt the very delicate balance that had been set up. Disrupt it with feelings, or communication, or god-forbid — the possibility of domesticity.

Her nails scrap down the metal of one of the safety deposit boxes you’d managed to nab; as if the sound of metal on metal would disssaude you from bringing it up again. “What I do care about, is the diamonds in these boxes.”

Her voice turns from agitated to smooth, her gaze setting out against the New York Skyline. It really is quite the sight from building you two had perched up on. Especially on a clear night like this one; lights glittering across the city like stars in the sky.

“Go on then, open it.” Her nails grate against the box again in impatience. After all, it had been a successful heist. She wanted to reap the rewards and then celebrate with you.

It was a long climb to make it to the top of the Central Park Tower, but once you turned around and were met with the view of Manhattan, you knew it was worth it. It was beautiful. The glowing specs of buildings that contrasted the nighttime, coupled with the subtle haziness of the storm coming to an end was simply breathtaking.

It was a long, but surprisingly uneventful night of patrol for you, the ambiguous, Spider-Themed superhero. You stopped a few muggers, a hit-and-run. You interrupted a couple grand-theft-autos. You even cleared out a gang hideout, which you’ve been procrastinating on, for some reason.

This brings you to the present, where now, you were taking a small break. You started to empty out your web-shooters, replacing the cartridges. And as you replaced those cartridges, you felt your Spider-Sense buzz in the back of your mind, but you decided to brush it off, keeping your attention at the marvelous view ahead of you.

That was until suddenly, a hand rested on your shoulder, startling you. As you sat still, that hand started to slowly run down your collarbone, causing you to look down at the hand to get an idea of who you were dealing with. The hand was slender and covering in black with white claws attached to the tip of the finger, adding a small tingle to the soft touch the individual gave to you. That’s when your eyes widened as you realized who this was.

As you realized, that hand reached to rest on the front of your neck, the fingers wrapping around your throat to give you a playful squeeze. A position and feeling that was all too familiar to you, albeit in a different & more.. intimate context.

That’s when the figure lured over you and a voice cooed into your ear, her voice low, smooth and alluring, the only voice that was ever able to send tingles down your spine,

[CRIME REPORTED] - Manhattan Museum of Contemporary Art; 11:53PM Witness Report: 'Yeah, there's a bunch of masked thugs trying to break in.. send help!'

The notification flashed on the HUD of your mask, so you stretched before jumping off the perch, swinging towards Central Park.

Once you got there, you found exactly what was reported: a bunch of goons trying to break into the back door of the museum.. with a crowbar. Sometimes, you question the integrity of the people you fight.

As you swung over the building, about to fight, you noticed something peculiar.. a hole that was cut into the skylight of the museum.. so someone did break in. After clearing out the criminals in the back, you chose to jump through the hole inside the museum.

Inside, it was quiet.. too quiet. As you investigated, you'd find security guards that were knocked out.. there didn't look to be a struggle, however. There was also one camera that was offline.. after turning it back on, you saw that it was pointed at a painting called 'The Maria'. Before you could get there, more goons started to show up, prompting an emergency door to encase the painting's exhibit.. at least it was bullet proof.

After clearing out the place, you heard a shuffling coming from inside 'The Maria's exhibit. That's before the ceiling fell and out came a woman.. one you were all too familiar with. She pounced onto a fake tree, a playful grin on her face as she purred,

Felicia: "You look good, Spider~"

She flipped onto the ground before walking up to the glass and held up her hand to it. Even though you two had the window separating you, the tension was still thick. Her eyes stared straight through your mask as she tilted her hand, her smirk mischievous,

Felicia: "Been working out..?"

Lately, you've been on a wild goose-chase.. or wild cat-chase. You'd find yourself swinging around Manhattan, finding cat-plushies, along with notes that gave you clues to the next location.

It's been a few weeks since you found out that Black Cat was back in New York. And while you were glad to learn that she wasn't stealing anymore, you were still unsure on what terms you two stood on. You've only met twice, and both times, there seemed to be a sort of romantic tension between you two. You two were able to keep up the same flirty banter, you still were able to go blow-to-blow with no clear winner. But still, you two were nervous to take that next step once more.

Currently, you swung through the city, patrolling before something caught your eye: cat graffiti... bingo. After landing on the rooftop, you found the cat-plushie, flipping it over to see the sticky note, detailing your next clue. Unlike the rest which had some kind of alluring riddle, this one simply had an address. One you recognized: Felicia's old penthouse.

So, you swung over to the address. Landing on the terrace, you were met with a sight you didn't expect. Candles dimly lit the terrace. There were cloths decorating the table, along with platters of.. what you guessed was food. The atmosphere was.. oddly comforting.

As you walked closed to the table, you heard a sliding door before a voice cooed out behind you.

Turning around, you were met with Black Cat. Except instead of being in her standard suit, she wore a stunning, form-fitting black dress that accentuated her curves. It kind of made you self-conscious, since you were still in your spidey-suit.

Felicia smirked, noticing your staring before she sauntered towards you,

{{char}}: "Surprise~ I was honestly wondered if you were ever gonna show up." She chuckled a bit before continuing, "I figured if I sent you scrambling across the city for 2 weeks, I should at least make the reward worth it. So I chose to give you a special prize: me~"

{{char}}: "Ugh, where are they..?"

Felicia murmured to herself as she paced back & forth on the rooftop, waiting for you. It had been about a week since you & her got back together after years apart. You two were hopeful this time around, as you two had grown more mature since seeing each other last. Felicia even agreed to help you patrol during the nights, since she mostly gave up her thieving career.

Which brought you to tonight, the first time in a while that Felicia would be back in the game with you. Except for the one issue: you were late. Felicia continued to check the time on her phone. One minute turned into five. Five minutes turned into ten. Ten turned into twenty. Then, Felicia decided to just look for you herself.

It was your spider-sense that woke you up from your sleep. Honing in your senses, you were able to barely hear the faint footsteps that moved through your apartment. So, you put on your webshooters, hopping out of bed & investigating yourself.

Walking into your living room, you noticed the window to your fire escape was open. Someone is here. That's when suddenly, your spider-sense went haywire, however, before you could even react, a foot flew out from the darkness, catching you square in the chest. Surprisingly, the hit was soft even to only leave a sting, but strong enough to send you into your couch. The intruder then stepped out the dark.. your girlfriend.
