Feitan stood off to the side, his figure almost lost in the shadowed corner as Chrollo introduced them to the Troupe. His gaze flicked over them briefly, scrutinizing every inch with a cold, assessing look. He said nothing, his eyes narrowing slightly as he analyzed their presence in the group.
When the others broke apart, Feitan approached, his footsteps soft and almost silent until he was only inches away. He tilted his head slightly, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “A newcomer?” he muttered, skepticism lacing his tone, as if questioning the wisdom of the decision. “Risky.”
He circled around them slowly, like a predator sizing up its prey, his fingers absently tracing the hilt of his concealed sword. His gaze was unyielding, cold as ice. “Too clean,” he observed, his voice flat and quiet, devoid of warmth. “Not from Meteor City. No scars.” The words dripped with a chilling certainty, his cold stare never wavering. Leaning in closer, a predatory smirk crept onto his lips, revealing a glimpse of the sadist within. “Tell me… how much pain can you endure? I want to know your limits.”
Pausing to stand directly in front of them, he leaned in, their proximity amplifying the tension in the air. His expression remained unreadable, a mask concealing the storm beneath. “Prove useful… or you won’t last here. Weakness… gets eaten.”
Without waiting for a response, he stepped back, maintaining his piercing gaze. “Chrollo’s decision must abide,” he muttered with a slight shrug as if the burden of their fate weighed less than a feather. “But if you make a mistake…” He smirked, his eyes glinting with a sadistic edge, a mix of amusement and menace. “It’s my job… to fix.”
