   An abstract horror/mystery game about a weird haunted train. Explore the train, meet weird ghosts, take in the weird abstract visuals, solve some puzzles, and also try not to die.

   Keys: subway

   One car, two cars, a horned-ghost, a sleeping dog, an artist, all on this subway. Explore the subway and find out your wildest dreams, imagination, and even nightmares have came true. Can you escape the subway?

   Lizzbeth Talby: Lizzbeth is the main protagonist of Subway Midnight.

   In game, Lizzbeth is depicted as a short, pale female with black hair that’s cut short. She wears a sleeveless black dress which has a white cross on its front. On her lower half, she’s fitted with (presumably) black leggings and boots.

   In other drawings made by bubby, Lizzbeth doesn’t change much, except for a few things. She now has a peach skin color and is visibly taller, a difference to the simplistic character design of the game. Lizzbeth also wears a variety of different clothing, sticking to a gothic aesthetic.

   Fun Facts:

   Though all character's ages are unconfirmed and up to the player's interpretation, Bubby Darkstar (the creator of Subway Midnight) thinks of Lizzbeth as 28 years old. It was originally intended for Lizz to be taking the train to or from a party.

   Lizz becomes a successful fashion designer 5 years after the Best End.

   No cap, they absolutely eat it up and leaves no crumbs.

   Bubby has stated that Lizz is high for the entirety of Subway Midnight, this is why they are so chill about all of the events transpiring.

   Lizz has never ridden a roller coaster, and they have no interest to do so.

   Lizz's favorite animals are cats.

   If Lizz were to be a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be a Dark type.

   Cassandra J. Santiago: Cassandra is a deuteragonist of Subway Midnight, and is briefly played as in the beginning sector of the game and in Good End.

   Cassandra has long, puffy hair, along with a sweater with an eye on it. They have black leggings and tend to have a neutral expression.

   Fun Facts:

   It's been confirmed that Cassandra watches One Piece, and would talk to Lizzbeth Talby about it.

   Cassandra is allergic to bananas.

   Cassandra has asthma.

   Cassandra has $2K replica Zoro swords.

   Their missing poster is missing the grey cuffs seen in her in-game sprite.

   Five years after the Best Ending, Cass is the manager of a comic book store.

   There is a cut sprite of Cassandra's ghost looking sad, this is due to the Bad End cutscene initially being that of The Killer murdering Lizz while Cass watched helplessly.

   Cass loves roller coasters, and plans vacations specifically to ride them.

   Cassandra's favorite animals are geckos.

   Bubby headcanons Cassandra to be 25 years of age.

   Cassandra hates Miami.

   If Cass were to be a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that she would be a Psychic type.

   Julia H. Coney: Julia is a deuteragonist and the first of the various ghosts encountered by Lizzbeth Talby in Subway Midnight.

   Julia's design sees them in a white sailor uniform with yellow accents, as well as an anchor design across the front. They are also wearing a yellow pleated skirt and what appear to be yellow boots to match. They also wear crescent moon earrings, as well as an eyepatch over their left eye, and nails painted yellow.

   Fun Facts:

   Julia presumably suffers from motion sickness, as Bubby has stated they gets too sick for roller coasters and prefers slower ones.

   Jules's favorite animal has been stated to be Sharks.

   Bubby headcanons Jules's age to be 19.

   If Julia was a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be a Water/Normal Type

   Five years after the Best Ending, Julia becomes a local meteorologist.

   Benson T. Reeves: Benson (nicknamed Benny) is a deuteragonist in Subway Midnight, appearing in their carts, the final Good End cutscene and the end of the Best End.

   Benny (as a ghost) wears a green sweater with a smiley face on it, jeans, and horns rather than hair. While alive, they wear a suit and tie with a smiley face pin and black hair.

   Benny's Cars: Benny's car(s) is really just one big cutscene, with Lizz walking into a large Benny-Centric theatre in which they put on a play about their life up until their murder.

   Fun Facts:

   Bubby has said that they seriously and legitimately regret not giving Benny a mustache ingame.

   5 years after the best end, Benny was found dead in Miami after choking on a pineapple in their pina colada.

   They are the only ghost that has a drastically different appearance as a ghost than when they were alive.

   They are referred to as 'Bubby' instead of Benny in the files.

   Benny is not a big fan of amusement park rides, "The teacup ride is too much for them".

   Benny's favorite animals are cats.

   Bubby headcanons Benny's age to be in their late 30's-early 40's

   If Benny were a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be a Normal type.

   Benny is apparently very Anti-Drug.

   Victoria Ashley: Victoria is a deuteragonist and the fourth ghost that the player encounters in Subway Midnight.

   Victoria wears a sleeveless dark grey sweater with a black star on the front. They have similarly painted dark grey nails, as well as straight black hair down to their shoulders. Their appearance can vary in certain cars, reflecting the colors of their scenery at points.

   Victoria's Cars: Victoria's cars revolve around Lizz traversing through multiple color coded cars and solving a great variety of puzzles, as well as being able to optionally collect paint buckets that aid in getting the Good Ending. The order of colors is as follows: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, White.

   Fun Facts:

   Victoria gets incredibly drunk/high to make the experiences of roller coasters even more terrifying.

   Victoria has no favorite animal. They actively hate animals.

   Bubby headcanons Victoria to be 30 years of age.

   Bubby has stated that Victoria is 6-7 feet tall.

   If Victoria were a Pokemon, Bubby has stated they would be a Normal type.

   According to Bubby, Victoria smokes quite a bit of weed and is incredibly obnoxious about it.

   Five years after the Best Ending, Victoria is a millionaire performance artist.

   Jessica Simmons: Jessica is a deuteragonist and the third ghost that Lizz encounters in Subway Midnight.

   Jessica is dressed in a pair of light blue cargo pants and a white sweater with blue accents that bears their circular emblem on its chest. Their hair itself is incredibly curly, and they also wear circular glasses.

   Jessica's Cars: Jessica's cars begin with a puzzle that requires the player to interact with numerous buttons in a room lined with computers in order to open the path forward. Following this is a room with a large terminal that allows Lizz to input a combination of three symbols, each of which leading to specific otherworldly cars. The second half of Jessica's section involves solving various puzzles as well as traversing through a small variety of obstacles.

   Fun Facts:

   Jessica hates rides of any kind. What a loser...

   Jess's favorite animals are dogs.

   Bubby headcanons Jess to be 17.

   Bubby has stated that Jess is around 6 feet tall.

   If Jess was a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be an Electric/Psychic Type

   Five years after the Best Ending, Jessica becomes Benny's replacement in the office.

   "Jess stole Victoria's art and made an NFT of it."

   Colin Thomas: Colin is a deuteragonist and the fifth ghost that the player encounters in Subway Midnight.

   Colin wears an orange top that could be considered a dress with a white collar that bears a white apple across the front. Their hair is almost identical to Kiki Thomas's, and they also wear white shoes.

   Colin's Cars: Colin's car is an absolute nightmare and easily the scariest segment in the game! It sees Lizz passing through a room of TVs they must turn off, before they find Colin alone in a room with nothing more than a couch and a TV. Lizz then sits down and joins Colin for a turn of "Colin's Game", a first person low-poly segment of the game in which the player must collect diamonds to unlock doors and progress. Arguably the only section of the game with traditional jumpscares, it is not recommended for the weak of heart.

   Fun Facts:

   Colin HATES roller coasters, but endures them for Kiki.

   Colin's favorite animals are bugs (especially beetles).

   Bubby headcanons Colin's age to be 13.

   If Colin were a Pokemon, Bubby has stated they would be a Bug/Electric type.

   Five Years after the Best Ending, Colin is a chess world champion.

   Kiki Thomas: Kiki is a deuteragonist and the second ghost that the player encounters in Subway Midnight.

   Kiki wears a pink dress with a white collar and a white flower design to match. They also wear pink boots, and have a haircut nearly identical to their twin, Colin Thomas.

   Kiki's Cars: Kiki's cars consist of tense chase segments as Lizz is pursued by a monstrous form of Kiki's stuffed bear. These segments build upon previously introduced mechanics such as buttons, while introducing a few unique mechanics such as chains and sequence puzzles.

   Fun facts:

   Kiki LOVES roller coasters, and often forces Colin onto them against their will.

   Kiki's favorite animals are Bears, obviously.

   Bubby headcanons Kiki as being 13.

   If Kiki were a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be a Fairy type.

   Five years after the Best Ending, Kiki is in high school and has fallen in with the punk scene. They are in a band.

   Rose S. Numan: Rose is a deuteragonist in Subway Midnight, appearing in their carts and the end of Best End.

   Rose has an appearance similar to a child or baby; small, onesie, and way too cute. They have a heart on their onesie, heart earrings, and a heart hairclip.

   Rose's Cars: Rose's cars seem to take place in a dream-like recreation of their childhood home, fully equipped with marble columns and garden tables topped with wine. The segment sees Lizz going through five separate rooms, each acting as compartmentalized nightmares. One room is entirely dark, only giving you flashes of light as Lizz approaches the masses blocking their path. Another room takes Lizz across a series of conveyor belts and heavy machinery, with another taking Lizz across treacherously narrow platforms and having to dodge the gaze of eyes that grow out of the walls.

   Fun Facts:

   Despite appearing too young to do so, Rose is seen talking to someone on a telephone in the Best End.

   Rose becomes an amateur clarinet player 5 years after the Best End.

   The wine in Rose's cars is labelled "Yum Yum Thirsty Boy". I wish I was making this up.

   Rose loves kiddy rides, but is too young to ride the "big boy" coasters.

   Rose's favorite animal is Dog, of course.

   Bubby headcanons Rose to be aroudn 6-8 years of age.

   If Rose were to be a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that they would be a Fairy/Ghost type.

   Dog: Rose's dog is a tertiary character in Subway Midnight, and only appears in Rose's carts and beside Rose in Best End.

   Rose's dog has a simple design; a fluffy Spinone appearance with pink fur.

   Fun Facts:

   Despite an official page calling the dog Rusty, it's been confirmed by Bubby Darkstar that the dog's name is simply Dog.

   The dog got their name because that's all Rose kept calling them, and the name stuck, as Dog wouldn't respond to any other names.

   Dog is deaf 5 years after Best End.

   Eleanor A. Birch: Eleanor is an antagonist of Subway Midnight, and is seen throughout the whole game.

   Appearance:

   Shadow form: A tall, pitch black silhouette with red facial features. Nothing else visible.

   Human form: A tall figure with wavy black hair, patched jacket, striped sweatshirt, and a plaid skirt that goes down to the floor.

   Fun Facts:

   There is one other character with the same last name, Jacklyn Birch. It was confirmed by Bubby that the two are siblings.

   Eleanor is a janitor.

   Eleanor goes to therapy 5 years after the Best End.

   Eleanor had WWE end moves for every character.

   Eleanor loves roller coasters.

   Eleanor is in her 20s.

   Eleanor is canonically ~11 feet tall.

   If Eleanor were to be a Pokemon, Bubby has stated that she would be a Dark type.

   Eleanor hates gory movies.

   Eleanor is strong enough to punch through concrete and could easily crush a human skull with one hand. The tradeoff is that "she is probably FILLED with tumors."

   Eleanor's increased height and enhanced strength supposedly come from cut story elements which elaborate on the Subway being a hotspot for cult activity, with Eleanor being halfway transformed into one of the other strange monsters that can be found on the train.

   Jacklyn A. Birch: Jacklyn is a deuteragonist and the last ghost that the player encounters in Subway Midnight. They are also the second ghost that can be controlled.

   Jacklyn appears throughout the game as an unstable spirit, shown to be consistently emitting particles and is always quite transparent. Their outfit seems to consist of a black sweater and black pants, often accompanied by a crude Halloween mask of a skull. They have pale skin and messy black hair (similar to Eleanor A. Birch). They also have a vertical piercing above their right eye.

   Jacklyn's Cars: Jacklyn is unique compared to the other ghosts, as rather than having cars completely unique in structure, all of their cars are repurposed layouts of cars from previous ghosts with Jacklyn's skull theming. These cars are only accessible in the Best End, and consist of one car for each of the other major ghosts. Jacklyn also has unique sequences throughout, in which we see them interrupt the murders of the other passengers by "scaring" Eleanor.

   Fun Facts:

   There is one other character with the same last name, Eleanor A. Birch. It was confirmed by Bubby that the two are siblings.

   Jacklyn loves/loved roller coasters.

   Jacklyn's favorite animals are mice and rats.

   Bubby headcanons Jacklyn as having been 19 when they died.
