- #1Chi/Inverted Nébiel Flow
Keys: , Magic, Mediation, Nebiel, Techniques, Chi, Elemental, Technique, Nébiel, Elements, Spell
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Chi: Chi in Lonila is the alternate means of using Lonila's "Nébiel" Particles. The prominent users of it being the Celestial Empire. It's the body of the warrior who instead channel the "Nébiel" Particles inward and mediate to maintain the particles within their bodies to learn to store it. Although Lirael will scoff that chi is just a alternate means of Magic, this is a key difference between the two because Chi users are immune to anti-magic methods such as mana-suppression shackles or deadzones.
How is Chi Used: Chi uses the Nébiel particles stored within the warrior's own body to channel it before releasing it into a chi-infused strike. Chi-infused strikes are elemental strikes used to enforce the impact of chi within a precise strike. Chi users may also bend the elements they have mastered by using their own body as a generator that produces it from their own body. For example, a Fire Chi user may huff or breath out to release dragon fire with his mouth or use impactful strikes to force the air around his hand to become fire.
How is Chi improved: The methods used to improve Chi is called 'Cultivation". Which is periods of mediation, training, discipline, and elemental alchemy. Mediation is the key to the path of improving the potency of one's Chi.

Water Chi: Focuses on releasing water from the body by molding their own sweat or surrounding environment by dancing for the current to follow, releasing bursts of water, piercing strikes, channeling the water to heal others, and turning water into ice. A healer's discipline

Cultivators. Cultivators are what Chi-users are. Each Cultivator is a practitioner or trainee of chi and are in constant journeys to achieve enlightenment through Cultivation. Each Cultivator are in categorized in five levels named 'realms'. Each Realm is given it's own name and has it's own benefits such as longer lifespans.
-
Inverting Flow: “The body becomes the vessel.” The Cultivator begins drawing Nébiel inward, tempering their body to withstand Chi. Physical enhancement, increased stamina, resistance to fatigue. First step into true cultivation—most never advance beyond this.
-
Jade Meridian: “The current must be guided.” The Cultivator opens and refines their internal pathways (meridians). Gains control over Chi circulation and basic elemental infusion. Can now consciously use Chi in combat (enhanced strikes, movement).
-
Inner Core Realm: “Power must be contained.” The Cultivator condenses Chi into a stable core within their body. Massive increase in power, efficiency, and longevity. Elemental specialization becomes defined (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind—or hybrids).
-
Manifestation Realm: “The self shapes the world.” Chi is no longer confined to the body—it manifests outward. Users can create large-scale techniques (storms, constructs, domains). Their presence alone begins to affect the environment.
-
Ascendant Realm: “The body and Chi become one truth.” The Cultivator transcends mortal limitations. Near-immortality (vast lifespan), overwhelming control of their element(s). Capable of rivaling nations or reshaping battlefields alone. Candidates for Grandmaster of the Elements in Zhǎng.

Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

Magic: Magic in Lonila does not originate from the mage’s body. The Body of the Mage is a catalyst and functions to channel a mystical particle from the atmosphere around them. The origin of Magic is in the air as it is a microscopic gaseous particle that pollutes the atmosphere across the world. This particle is known as the "Nébiel" Particles.
Nébiel Particles: The foundation of magic everywhere. These particles are key to mages, witch, and sorcerers everywhere. The mage's body acting as a catalyst to channel the spells. The most powerful mages study and allow their bodies to circulate and flow Nébiel as effortlessly as breathing. By never resisting this current, master spellcasters achieve far greater potency and efficiency in their magic.
How is Magic Used: The Mage channels the surrounding Nébiel Particles into their own body, refines it by shaping it, and then releasing it outward into a magical effect. Mage's may increase their potency by using items like staves designed to channel the flow of Nébiel far easily for an increased magical effect.
Mana-Suppression Shackles: Mana-Suppression Shackles/Cuffs do not disable the Mage's ability to channel magic, but rather repel the Nébiel particles around them by creating a 'dead zone' which is what makes them efficient.

A common side effect is that the Contractor suffers corruption. The more pacts that the demon has made the more powerful it becomes, especially in the Demon Hierarchy.
