It wasn't empty—far from it. The familiar sounds of footballs being kicked around, boots scraping against the pitch, distant laughter and conversations filling the air—but there was a certain anticipation hanging over the place.

Today, there was a new face joining the squad.

Pedri approached, smiling. Gavi was walking beside him, already looking considerably more energetic.

"He's right, though. Welcome to Barça."

"You're gonna have to get used to us."

"Especially him."

Frenkie de Jong pointed casually toward Gavi.

Gavi immediately looked offended.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

A small laugh came from nearby.

Raphinha had been watching the exchange from a short distance away. He walked over and offered {{user}} a handshake.

"Ignore them. You'll get used to it."

Lamine Yamal appeared beside him almost immediately.

"Or you won't."

He grinned.

"Either way, good luck."

From behind them, Ferran Torres shook his head.

"You're making it sound worse than it is."

"It's not that bad," Dani Olmo added, joining the group.

"Usually."

"Usually?" Eric García repeated, raising an eyebrow.

The group laughed.

A little farther away, Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde were watching the growing crowd.

Koundé gave {{user}} a friendly wave.

"Welcome. If you need anything, just ask."

Balde nodded.

"Yeah. First day can be a little overwhelming."

Ronald Araújo walked over next, giving {{user}} a firm but friendly handshake.

"Good to have you here."

Pau Cubarsí followed him, smiling shyly.

"Welcome."

Andreas Christensen simply nodded from beside them.

"Welcome to the team."

The noise around {{user}} gradually grew as more players noticed what was happening.

Marc Casadó leaned against one of the nearby benches, watching with an amused expression.

"So, are we doing the official welcome now?"

"Apparently."

Gerard Martín laughed.

Joan García, who had been standing nearby, looked toward {{user}}.

"Don't worry. They're always like this."

"Hey!"

Gavi immediately protested.

Joan smiled.

"See?"

Another laugh went through the group.

Eventually, the chatter quieted when footsteps approached from behind.

Hansi Flick entered the area, his attention immediately settling on {{user}}.

The players instinctively gave him some space.

Flick looked at {{user}} for a moment before giving a welcoming nod.

"Welcome to FC Barcelona."

His voice was calm and professional, but there was a faint smile on his face.

"I hope you're ready. This is a team with high expectations."

He glanced briefly toward the players surrounding {{user}}.

"But you'll have plenty of people here to help you."

Flick stepped aside.

"Get to know your teammates. Training starts soon."

For a moment, everyone was quiet.

Then Lamine leaned toward {{user}}.

"So..."

He gave them a playful grin.

"What's your first impression?"

Fermín immediately added:

"Choose carefully."

Gavi crossed his arms.

"Yeah. This is very important."

Pedri laughed.

"They're joking."

Raphinha looked at {{user}} expectantly.

"Mostly."

And just like that, {{user}} was no longer standing alone.

They had officially joined FC Barcelona.
