Creator notes
Welcome to Fauxglow, an open collab full of dragon shifters and their species.
Simple rules!
-Abide by the fact Fauxglow is NOT modern in terms of technology.
-Use the Fauxglow tag if making a bot apart of the collab, ofc <3
-Stepcest and anything else as gross aren't allowed in the collab, sorry. I don't want it to be associated with incest of ANY capacity.
-Your dragon shifter CANNOT be "the ruler of all dragons of X type", they can be a leader of a certain colony/pack/flock/whatever however. Hell, be a king/queen if you want idc.
-NSFW is allowed for ADULT characters. Abide by Janitor or sauce TOS.
"Gloom, what if I wanna be a dragon someone else already made!"
Then... be that dragon? It's a diverse world, nobody is the same but you can be the same TYPE of shifter someone made.
Be on the lookout, for a beast of white scales emerges from the depth of the forest.
That's about it honestly, idk. First ever collab, be nice to me

Basic setting: The world is full of mythical beings, from the tiniest fairy to the behemoth of the stars. There are over a thousand types of species, humanoid and inhuman, that litter the world of Fauxglow. Fauxglow is a large, alternate world to earth where technology never existed and humans never evolved to adapt to the modern world.
The world is run purely by creatures, with the most prominent being Dragon Shifters. Each dragon type has their own set of rules, hierarchy, environments, and adaptability.
Dragons are a general name for these beasts. Draconic species range from size and colors.
Dragon Shifters have three known ‘shifts’. They have their basic human form, but these forms have a few physical differences compared to others. They have scales, horns, and tails and often wings or webbing between their sides and arms/hands. A few dragon shifters have feathers.
The known Draonics are as followed:
Drakes - wingless, terrain creatures built bulky and prioritize defenses. They come in an array of earthy, ashy, and grove-like tones. Drakes are some of the largest and often found in dens; although mountain drakes have been discovered numerous times.
Drakes are neutral tempered, never going out of their way to attack someone unprovoked. Unless, of course, they are hungry or hold a harsh grudge. They have an omnivorous diet, which is the only current case of draconics. The average height for a drake is 6’5 in human form, 10’ in their drake forms. Drakes live solitary or with a mate, often with hatchlings until their children leave the den at two years of age.
Drakes have a few known sub-species attached to them: Hydras, the Multi-head dragon with incredible regrowth and healing rates, and Kirins, a unicorn-dragon crossbreed with an unmatched temper that will burst into flames. Basilisks are rarer subforms of Drakes, although the only difference being their more Wyrm-like behaviors.
Amphithere - Amphithere’s, or Amphis, are large Lindwurm-like behemoths with wings that attach to their arms. They have no legs, slithering or dragging themselves around. These creatures prefer a docile nature, and are one of the few species with fur and feathers that cover soft, vulnerable scales.
Amphi’s are the embodiment of grace, gliding and soaring the skies of Fauxglow. Their feathers/fur come in multiple soft, pastel colors to blend in with the sky and clouds, although bright colored feathers/fur are common most within males. Amphi’s are herbivorous, as their teeth are too small for meats; yet they are still serrated for defending themselves. Their human forms are an average height of 6’, whilst their Amphi forms are around 12’ in length. Amphi’s live within a flock of up to five other Amphi’s with one lead male or female that helps keep the flock safe.
The subspecies to an Amphithere is a Caotyl.
Wyrms - Wyrms are large, snake-like dragons that slighter and burrow. They are legless, have no wings, and are completely incapable of flight. Wyrms are extremely territorial, lashing out over every small movement from anything not within their colony. They live deep underground within mines or complicated tunnels, and are the embodiment of anger.
Wyrms come in deep browns or snake-like patternings. A wyrm produces venom, one of the only species that do this. A wyrm is always in a colony of up to ten or fifteen, although yearly the colony will disperse to gain new members, A colony is always started with two parents, often two females that have stolen eggs, and grows from that. A leader will ALWAYS be the Wyrm with the biggest venom pouch. Wyrms are Geovores, although they are known for possible cannibalistic behavior. Wyrm shifters are an average height of 7’, whilst their wyrm forms are often 15~18’ in length.
A Wyrm has multiple known subspecies, with the most well known ones being a Sea Serpent, Quetzal, and a sea orc.
Wyverns - Wyverns are beasts much like the Amphithere, although they have two back legs and wings for their front. Wyverns reside mostly within deep mountain caverns, although they aren’t exclusive to these areas. Wyverns are bulky despite their agility for flights, their teeth largest compared to other draconics. They are carnivorous exclusively, their stomachs unable to break down plant life.
Wyvern colors are dull with bright patternings, and females exclusively have poisonous barbs along their dorsal. Wyvern nature is complicated, as only the female wyverns seem to be aggressive unprovoked and the males often more docile; although it is completely for protective purposes. Wyvern shifters are an average height of 5’9, whilst their wyvern forms are around 9~10’ in height. There is a noted wyvern that is merely named ‘The Devourer’, the largest known albino Wyvern shifter that ruled the center of the Faux Fae forest. Wyverns only live with a mate and one or two children until the child leaves around the time they can finally fly on their own.
There are quite a few subspecies to a Wyvern, with the only important one being a Cockatrice, a creature that abides by the rulings of Medusa and more chicken-like that will turn people to stone.
Dragons - A Dragon, despite being the main name of the entire familia, is also the name of this certain species. They have all four legs and two wings, often seen with four wings due to a mutation. They come in an array of metallic colors, although it’s not uncommon to see them in bright reds or deep navy blues. They live anywhere and everywhere, their diet carnivorous.
These creatures are neutral tempered, with their distinct bulky bodies and oddly gentle flight patterns. Dragon shifters are an average height of 7~8’ tall, with their dragon forms being 14’ tall at minimum. They can live solitary, within packs, or with just a mate as they are capable of defending themselves quite well.
Lindwurm - Lindwurms are large, thin creatures that rely on their front two legs, aka their arms, to drag themselves around. They cannot fly and strictly traverse the ground. They rely mostly on scent and feel, as most Lindwurms are blind and/or deaf. Males have a sort of hood that will flare, although they always have dull and earthy colors to stay hidden.
Lindwurms are solitary, as they don’t want to mistake a mate or their own children for meals. If a Lindwurm were to have a mate and children, only the father will incubate and take care of the eggs before abandoning them after hatching. Linderwurms are pescatarian, as they always reside near rivers, creeks, waterfalls, or lakes. Lindwurm shifters are at most 5’ in height with their Lindwurm forms being at most 7’ in length. They are quite small.
There are MULTIPLE unnamed species and subspecies of dragons not listed, as they are simply marked as rarer breeds.
